Too noisy outside and inside!!!

The very friendly people on reception and the casual way that things operated with no interference.

The slight pervasive odour of curry in places ... not surprising as it is part of "House of Curries".

This is a place with character. If you dislike cookie-cutter motels, don't care about amenities, and have a sense of humor, you might really like it. I was surprised at how accurately some other visitors had described it. The lobby is really appalling, and thI recommend the top floor, though you'll probably be carrying your bag up there, unless they grab the waiter to do it. There's no elevator, but my room was clean, and I loved the light as the sun went down. Forget about motel-like amenities, but I did find a hair dryer in a bureau drawer. The bed was fine, and there was a bedside lamp. The curtain was hanging off the bar, and the furniture was mismatched, but I like being reminded of the places I stayed in Europe when I was travelling on $5 a day. The Indian restaurant is again like student cafeterias in Europe, but the food was wonderful and cheap. The place is overpriced but location, location, location.

Я не получил чек об оплате отеля с указанием дней пребывания и моей фамилии. Мне выдали только чек об оплате отеля кредитной картой и сказали, что других документов не выдают. При отчете за командировку у меня возникнут проблемы в нашем финансовом отделе, поскольку не указана моя фамилия и даты проживания. Прошу решить эту проблему как можно быстрее.

but the rest were very, very bad. The room never been cleaned for all of the 3 days I stayed. The smell of urine in the room was terrible. I hope you will not put it on the list.

Close to University of California at Berkeley. Good restaurant.

They did not accept credit card payments. The TV did not work. The wireless internet did not work properly. The room was not cleaned every day.

Terrific location. Lovely terrace in the front of the hotel. Excellent Indian restaurant on the first floor, with very friendly staff. I asked for a table lamp and got one. Strong, free wifi connection through the restaurant.

Staffing problematic. No one to check me in. I had to get the key to my room from the restaurant staff. No one to hold my luggage for me at 8:30 in the morning. But friendly staff when available. Because it's so close to campus, it's very noisy in the late evenings. But the location and price outweigh these inconveniences.

I booked this hotel with a queen size room about a week prior to me arriving there. On the same day as I was going there the manager called and said the room I booked wasn't available so I must upgrade to a king size room. It wasn't my fault and I had to pay the difference! For the same price I could of gotten a cleaner, better location, and better service for the same price. All and all I paid $140 for this place which I could of gotten a better hotel for the same price. Parking is also extra that is not included. Beware of them calling you back after you book a room and saying you need to upgrade because there's been a malfunction in their system!
