The location and facilities.

The Jacuzzi was not heated.

Rooms were nice and had a great view.

The food prices were too high.

We were travelling around New England/NYC/Washington and stayed in 7 hotels. Booked as the cheapest hotel, so at to keep a check on budget. The Bluenose Inn was a real surprise and the best value for money, friendly atmosphere and very comfortable. Bluenose is a fantastic value-for-money, the restaurant food is of a very good standard and staff provided very good service.

Two minor points (which were not an issue for our party): it is approx a 10 min walk into Bar Harbour and the drive way up to the hotel is quite steep.

Staff was great - free WiFi and, as a favor to me, they passed a 25 page fax free of charge (other hotels charge $1/pg). Fresh cookies and home- grown apples all day. Outdoor and heated indoor pool/ jacuzzi. Excellent, although small, workout facility. Staff used golf cart to transport four of us to hotel restaurant, which is 50 yards from main building. Each room had gas fireplace (handy in cool evenings) and personal balconey (handy during daytime).

Only general problem was traffic, since the hotel is on the main road into the town of Bar Harbor. However, the problem was much worse in town because passengers from cruise ships and tour buses filled the streets. Bluenose is 1/4 mile from the town , so it's the best option available.

We had a spacious room overlooking the Bay. It was very well appointed. Location was great for exploring Acadia National Park and the Bar Harbor area.

Just a nice place with great views. Very friendly staff. Grat cookies in the afternoon. Appreciated morning newspaper. Very nice restaurant on premise. Nicely located between Arcadia an Bar Harbor. Plenty of nice things to do ie. Boat rides, nature observation, hiking etc. Room was really nice almost luxurious

The Looking Glass

Excellent, full service!

Our stay at the Bluenose was top shelf. The views were spectacular, the room was clean and beautifuly furnished. The staff were very curtious and always available. The Looking Glass was close by and very good. All in all a very enjoyable place to stay. Thank You

Un peu loin de tout Trop de différence entre l'hôtel et l'auberge (ce qui n'était pas précisé sur le site de booking : on pense loger dans un hôtel, et on est dans une auberge)

Die Lage mit dem Blick auf Bar Harbor und das Meer ist sehr gut und daher empfelenswert. Das Hotelambiente ist sehr gut mit sehr guten Parkplatz Möglichkeiten. Die Zimmer sowie das Bat haben den Beschreibungen entsprochen. Zudem sind diese sehr geräumig. Wir haben auch die live Musik am Klavier sehr genossen.

Wir haben dort nicht gefrühstückt, weil der Frühstücksraum weit abseits liegt und zwar einen schönen Bilick aufs Meer bietet, aber einen Kantinenflair hat.

Amazing corner room on top floor had an ideal view of the ocean and islands.

A very nice quiet beautiful place to stay while still close enough to the heart of Bar Harbor.
