This New York hostel in Brooklyn is just a 5 minute walk from the Morgan Ave. subway stop. It offers clean rooms with free Wi-Fi, cable TV and a small fridge.
Score from 245 reviews Very good
Close to subway. Just minutes from the hottest spots in NY. Had everything I needed for my stay. The rooms were spacious with only 4 guests per room. The bathrooms were adequately cleaned.
Great for students and backpackers with small budget. It's very close to the metro station which makes traveling much easier.
great alternative to expensive hotels in NY. provided all I needed for my stay.
The Staff was outstanding! Each person was professional, kind, helpful, and accomodating. They were patient listeners to a solo traveler in transition.
The increased cost during the month of July. Rates more than doubled, so I had to move out and then move back in. Unable to access Wi-Fi and no resolve. Only able to access Wi-Fi via student account from university.
location very cheap
no lockers ! no blankets !!! noisy pre-World War air conditioning dirty public bathroom poorly maintained community areas no cancellation/change after check-in extremely unprofessional staff
my second time.. I like
No good cleanliness,
The room was not luxurious, but clean. The staff was friendly. Had enough facilities for the price I paid, including a fridge. The room was also very big. Wi-Fi worked well. Bed was comfortable enough. Location was not perfect, but good. I was there to visit the city. For my purpose, this room was perfect - it provided a good place to rest during the night.
The shared bathroom is never great, but it was fine using it. Pretty messy on the hallway, but I didn't bother. Maybe a bit noisy, but never too late.
Really dirty, restrooms were cleaned with toilet paper Floor full of hair, gross
Very nice place. The building was secure and close to the subway. You can get to all the great sights in minutes.
The rooms were big and only 4 people in a room.
Very accessible, safe and clean. Great place to stay in NY.
They're not open year round.
Saw a cockroach in the bathroom The room was completely messy No access to a safe
Great place! Very practical and very accessible. It's right across the Dekalb Ave station.
Delightfully young staff who are very eager to please. Unbeatable rates in NY!
Spacious rooms and really convenient location next to the subway. Just a little tricky to find.
I had a noisy roommate.
Cheap, clean and accessible.
The accommodation is located in Long island university, and it seems very secure because you need a code to enter and get out of the building. And it is very close to the Brooklyn Bridge and several metro stations.
The staff will give you linen, bed sheet and towel, but there is no quilt. Though it is not so convenient since there is no private toilet in the room, the common shower place is OK.
Perfect location, in the middle of everything. It's a massive building and easy to meet people. Lots of cupboards and desks. I've never waited for shower and toilet.
It was right next to the train, very convenient location. The rooms were also very big - other dormitories usually would put 8 to 10 beds in the size of these rooms.
Best location, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Best value for money. I was there last year and back this year, will be back whenever I'm in New York for the summer.
It's location was amazing! Right next to a major train station and close to another one. Plus. The wifi was ok
The staff seemed very aloof and the place was terribly maintained. There were 3 full trash bags in the room from a guy who left the day before I arrived. They were still there when I left 3 days later. You're getting a bed with a great location --- NOTHING MORE. Be aware of that
The Pictures* do not represent the actual conditions. Even for a Dorm Room*, the Standards are 'below par'. Noise/Laughter from staff & guests even at 2-3 am. Room* has not been cleaned for a long time I had booked the whole room to have privacy & sleep.(assigned a room next to the office).Cockroaches & other crawlers (many squashed on the walls). Dirty floor,Walls & mattress. Broken blinds & Air Conditioner. Bathrooms* are filthy, rusty metal doors & dividers. Shower curtains & walls, have black mold & definite health risk. Toilets are rarely cleaned( some flushes don't work) Vomits & other excrements seen often. There seems to be no particular person in charge and lots of noise, screaming, tv, and general chaos. Terrible hygiene regimen & violations of the Health Code. Overall appalling conditions. . etc. . . etc. . .
I like there's location because subway is very close and safe area.
Room, shower room and bathroom were very dirty. So I had hard time when I use them ( so many hairs tissues on the floor )
We just loved the place. We made a lot of new friends here. We were on a city trip so the location was just perfect!
