We were there to attended the inauguration. We did visit the local mall and had easy acess to the metro by way of the hotel shuttle. Our room was extremely small, but clean. |

The location, the staff (really very friendly and helpful), the excellent shuttle service. I did not realise it was a convention centre until arrival (I made a hurried booking to attend a funeral service nearby), and everything about it was a pleasant surprise 1) Toilet ahd waste in it from previous guest, otherwise spotlessly clean 2) Few guests the night I stayed, so it would have been nice not to have a young couple roomed next door with such thin walls. Clerk should have spread the few guests around. I feel mean-spirited saying this - EVERYONE I met at this unusual and attractive hotel was superbly friendly and efficient. |

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent setting. Transport difficulties if you do not have a car. Shuttle only operates from 5pm on weekdays. Taxis expensive if used every day to get to Bethesda Metro. Should have a couple of morning shuttles to the metro station. |

close to the events we were attending and beautiful grounds when I called, the hotel person gave me incorrect directions to the hotel so we were going in circles for a while; the staff did not seem to put their customers first or make an effort to please -- did not help with dry cleaning needed, their hotel booklet made it sound like the staff would make appointments (e.g. haircut) for us but they just gave us numbers to call ourselves; no wireless in room |
