Score from 20 reviews Excellent
The landscaping and facilities. The mineral water in the hot tubs
Some heavy equipment sitting around detracted from the beauty. Loud guests in another hot tub on the balcony
everything exempt the food
the food it was so bad....
The facilities and staff are nice.
There was no room around the outdoor hot tub. Only about 15 people could be seated there so if you didn't get up early to get a spot, you were out of luck. I found a pair of shorts that were not mine or my children's under the bed on my last day, so I have to question the cleanliness of the rooms. A child (not mine) vomited in the hot tub indoors, and unfortunately my kids were in the tub. We advised a staff person, and the hot tub was roped off for the day, but reopened the next day. I don't believe that the hot tub was drained and cleaned, so I question the cleanliness again. My truck was vandalized in the parking lot on my last night. Someone had tried to break into the canopy and damaged the tailgate as well as the canopy. The manager was supposed to call me the next day and I did not receive a phone call. Overall, I was not impressed.
pool, hot tub outside and one in room it was great it was my granddaughter 16th birthday she really enjoy herself
there was a mix up in room, but it did take care of it fast. Also 16 year old couldn't swim after 7:30pm I think when adult there it should be ok. Also 16 year old can drive but they are still A child and can't swim or hot tub after 7:30 pm wow
Enjoyed the grounds, the pool area, and the lounge.
I found the presence of young children in the spa and pool area lessened the zen of the experience.
We had the hot tub suite, only thing that made the room worth the money. Even with that not a good value at $300 night. Old tube TV with no HD, light bulbs burnt out in bathroom.
Spa experience and hot tubs
Fire alarm going off at midnight
Location and the outside hot tubs
Staff at check-in were not very friendly. We arrived at 3:30 when we approached the counter the first thing they said was "check- in is not until 4:00. We desided to upgrade to better room which we were alowed to look at the room was already cleaned and ready but we were still not alowed to check- in until 4:00 so we had to wait in the lobby????
I loved the mineral bath we had for our room on the patio.
The spa packages and deals were pretty expensive.
The pool and food.
Unavailabilty of the spa services.
The ambiance was lovely, the food was very good and most of the staff was excellent. The woman who checked us in was warm and welcoming. One wonderful lady in the dining room had come to work in spite of having lost power at her house. The poor girl at the coffee shop had gotten stuck in the snow on the way to work. She also provided excellent service.
We arrived on Saturday and the manager was rude and threatened to have us thrown out of the hotel. In all my years of travel, and I have traveled over the world extensively, I have never been treated like that. The staff at the spa desk has absolutely no concept of customer service!
Very nice, able to relax
Would liked to have had more time there
although there was hardly anyone there, the staff couldn't have been more cordial. the staff in the dining room were great and the food was excellent. I had a stone back massage that was marvelous this was our second visit and we will definitely go again
Having a private balcony with a hot tub was amazing. Serene location overall, only an hour from Portland. The great room was spectacular. The spa facilities were very nice, I enjoyed a 50 min massage. The room itself was comfortable but lacking the unique charm of the rest of the resort.
Hot tub water looked kind of dirty.. but did not stop us from enjoying it. Room needs updated to match the charm of the overall resort.
All of the staff where great. Made us feel at home.
For the high price we felt like the rooms needed to be updated. For that price it should have included a spa treatment.
This was an ideal location for a rainy Jan weekend. Not too crowded and everything was up to our expectations. My wife reports the massage at the spa was great. Nice to have a hot tub on our patio.
We had hoped to check in early but had to wait until 4pm. The room was ready as promised. We didn't try their dinner, went to Skamania Lodge for their friday night buffet (excellent!) instead.
Food in restaurant is outstanding. The spa treatments excellent and thoughtful. The grounds and work with water is peaceful and brings a wonderful sound.
Pillows in the room are too fat. I suggest you have some feather pillows available for those who like thinner pillows. The people at the check in desk talk loud and you can hear them in the lobby while you are trying to rest. Also we needed more electrical outlets closer to the beds. We both use CPAP sleeping machines and had to unplug the clock and lamp to plug in our machines. Place another electrical outlet by the head of the beds for customers to use.
Location was a bit secluded, but that added to the charm! Weather could have been nicer, but then it would have been more crowded! It was a great getaway for the wife and me, beautiful place, local attractions are fantastic!
Staff willingness to come to our room for assistance, although nothing was able to be fixed.
Hot tub wouldn't work. Little to choose on TV without paying more $. I paid extra for a room on the hillside, hot tub wouldn't work, and was STILL charged the extra amount. I am still awaiting contact from the manager I was told would call me. Unless something drastically changes, I will spread the word to all about how overpriced and consumer Unfriendly this place is. That includes telling the two co-workers who have enjoyed this place. I work for a large agency and will give no positive recommendation.
The pool and mineral water hot tubs are fabulous. The food is well-appointed.
The price point is a little above my pay grade.... we did not do any spa services this time. The management might consider at REAL deal weekend-- then we would eat, shop, and secure spa appointments!
The mineral water soaks, the food and the gardens!
Enjoyed the pool, hot tub on the deck, peaceful, quiet, the "great hall" with the fireplace was very nice. The breakfast was AWESOME. Very nice staff.
Hot tub with private balcony.
Room was average, nothing spectacular about it. It was a room you would find at any other hotel.
Supreme luxury in the middle of one of the most scenic areas of the US. I loved the 3-story tall lobby with huge cozy fireplace, the snuggly robes, the many bed pillows and fabulous kingsize bed and the great food. Swimming at the crack of dawn when no one else was in the pool but my husband and I was one of the highlights of our weekend. I can't wait to go back. It is a real treat when you deserve to be pampered. I wish I could live there!
We couldn't check in early so had to wait until 4 pm although we were offered pool passes for 2 pm. Instead, we went out for lunch and a hike.
Jacuzzi was awesome especially with our 4 month baby it was very convenient.
A little out dated but you cant find anything like it in Washington with the mineral hot springs.
