Score from 5 reviews Excellent
Only one hour from our house and some sightseeing spots along the way.The atmosphere was very nice with the lighted outdoor hot tub at night. The room was a decent size. The dinner at the dining room was tasty. Staff (except front desk) were very nice and helpful.
Front desk person wasn't very welcoming. The food at the dining room was good, but really pricy and wasn't hot. There wasn't any other place to eat with kids. The water in the hot tub wasn't very clean.
Overall a very nice place to stay. I have to say I have been here multiple times, but this time we went over the Thanksgiving holiday. Booking.com's room description is a little deceiving, but I knew what I wanted, so when I called the hotel to verify the reservation they immediately fixed what booking.com messed up (you want the private hillside jacuzzi rooms, much more privacy). When we got there, the front desk staff actually voluntarily helped lower my rate to save us some money. We had the thanksgiving buffet for dinner which was very very good, and I can be a picky eater. The next morning the restaurant staff/chef accommodated our breakfast request even though it was a half an hour into their lunch menu, and the food again was excellent. The spa, both the pool and massages, we're very enjoyable and professional. We mentioned a clock not working in the pool area and within 15mins someone was working on it. We wanted the heat on our private room jacuzzi turned up, and within 20mins we had a very nice lady who came to our room and showed us how to do it. The staff were all very accommodating and polite which makes any trip that much better. And the resort was kept clean and in fairly nice shape.
The only thing I thought could be a bit nicer, was slightly better mattresses...but that's not to say they were horrible.
if your room has spa will be wonderful. Environment is good. Having thanksgiving atmosphere. Room is good.
Hot spring is not clean. Maybe I go there too late. wifi is awful!! We can't use wifi in room, only iPad can use. And there can not connect T-mobile signal.
Attitude of staff: professional, kind and attentive. It was low season, thus it was calm and relaxing. My sister and I liked massages that we took in Spa center as well as sauna, hot tub and sweeming pool area that is included if you buy a service. It was pleasant that every morning we found a newspaper at our door. Hotel's manager is always present on property and available for concerns. Classic music was always playing from radio.
Sauna's not hot enough and too small for the number of guests. The walking trais are short and Have no branches, there's no sport's ground for children as this is resort for grown up people will relaxing atmosphere. Walk ins can come in teams to enjoy relaxing swimming pool after working hours expressing themselves too loudly sometimes.
very clean wherever, nice room ,comfortable sleeping in bed
body wrap not quality ,we didn't have satisfactions ,restaurant to expensive ,boring for kids
I like the pools.
I did not like that kids must leave pools at 7 PM. Price is to high.
The whole experience was wonderful! It is one of my favorite places now and the mineral water is truly healing. The staff was wonderful and extremely accommodating! Two thumbs up!
I didn't like the way day use guests disrespected the atmosphere. They were often loud and disruptive. It doesn't seem appropriate for children either but we tried to use public facilities during non busy hours.
The landscaping and facilities. The mineral water in the hot tubs
Some heavy equipment sitting around detracted from the beauty. Loud guests in another hot tub on the balcony
Very comfortable hotel Excellent pool, hot tubs & sauna Beautiful inner garden
Cool atmosphere Swimming pool normally opens at 7 am but was still closed for cleaning at 7:30 am
everything exempt the food
the food it was so bad....
The facilities and staff are nice.
There was no room around the outdoor hot tub. Only about 15 people could be seated there so if you didn't get up early to get a spot, you were out of luck. I found a pair of shorts that were not mine or my children's under the bed on my last day, so I have to question the cleanliness of the rooms. A child (not mine) vomited in the hot tub indoors, and unfortunately my kids were in the tub. We advised a staff person, and the hot tub was roped off for the day, but reopened the next day. I don't believe that the hot tub was drained and cleaned, so I question the cleanliness again. My truck was vandalized in the parking lot on my last night. Someone had tried to break into the canopy and damaged the tailgate as well as the canopy. The manager was supposed to call me the next day and I did not receive a phone call. Overall, I was not impressed.
pool, hot tub outside and one in room it was great it was my granddaughter 16th birthday she really enjoy herself
there was a mix up in room, but it did take care of it fast. Also 16 year old couldn't swim after 7:30pm I think when adult there it should be ok. Also 16 year old can drive but they are still A child and can't swim or hot tub after 7:30 pm wow
Enjoyed the grounds, the pool area, and the lounge.
I found the presence of young children in the spa and pool area lessened the zen of the experience.
We had the hot tub suite, only thing that made the room worth the money. Even with that not a good value at $300 night. Old tube TV with no HD, light bulbs burnt out in bathroom.
Spa experience and hot tubs
Fire alarm going off at midnight
Location and the outside hot tubs
Staff at check-in were not very friendly. We arrived at 3:30 when we approached the counter the first thing they said was "check- in is not until 4:00. We desided to upgrade to better room which we were alowed to look at the room was already cleaned and ready but we were still not alowed to check- in until 4:00 so we had to wait in the lobby????
I loved the mineral bath we had for our room on the patio.
The spa packages and deals were pretty expensive.
The pool and food.
Unavailabilty of the spa services.
The ambiance was lovely, the food was very good and most of the staff was excellent. The woman who checked us in was warm and welcoming. One wonderful lady in the dining room had come to work in spite of having lost power at her house. The poor girl at the coffee shop had gotten stuck in the snow on the way to work. She also provided excellent service.
We arrived on Saturday and the manager was rude and threatened to have us thrown out of the hotel. In all my years of travel, and I have traveled over the world extensively, I have never been treated like that. The staff at the spa desk has absolutely no concept of customer service!
Very nice, able to relax
Would liked to have had more time there
although there was hardly anyone there, the staff couldn't have been more cordial. the staff in the dining room were great and the food was excellent. I had a stone back massage that was marvelous this was our second visit and we will definitely go again
Having a private balcony with a hot tub was amazing. Serene location overall, only an hour from Portland. The great room was spectacular. The spa facilities were very nice, I enjoyed a 50 min massage. The room itself was comfortable but lacking the unique charm of the rest of the resort.
Hot tub water looked kind of dirty.. but did not stop us from enjoying it. Room needs updated to match the charm of the overall resort.
All of the staff where great. Made us feel at home.
For the high price we felt like the rooms needed to be updated. For that price it should have included a spa treatment.
This was an ideal location for a rainy Jan weekend. Not too crowded and everything was up to our expectations. My wife reports the massage at the spa was great. Nice to have a hot tub on our patio.
We had hoped to check in early but had to wait until 4pm. The room was ready as promised. We didn't try their dinner, went to Skamania Lodge for their friday night buffet (excellent!) instead.
