The hallways are a bit smoky smelling
Like that we were able to check in early
Nice clean, good-size room at a reasonable price.
trouble with keeping heat adjusted. Breakfast was ok, but they really had nothing left at 8 that morning. traveled with mother (87) would help if had a bar in bath so the elderly could feel safe as they exit the tub.
Very homey atmosphere, clean, nice size room, easy access
There was a stale cigarette smell in nonsmoking room and lobby at check in. We went to Walmart and got a can of Lysol spray. When we returned the smell wasn't nearly as bad.
Bed seemed huge. Pretty comfortable. Room good size.
trash was not emptied nor clean towels.
Its close to everything you might need while traveling. Clean, quiet and pleasant atmosphere.
Needs a pool
Beds were awsomely comfortable
Leslie at the front desk was really great. The place was cheap clean and comfy. What more do you want? Great little place to stay.
One bed had the bedspread slightly turned down with two pillows propped up and exposed. The sheets seemed very old and the mattress cover also. There was a very large dead insect in the bathroom. It was late and we were too tired to object. It would have been nice to have been greeted with a welcoming smile
We didn't get the room we reserved 2 weeks in advance. The pool was shallow . Hot tub advertised didn't work . Air conditioning in room was inadequate. Room was upstairs. Door was locked at night and my husband had trouble getting back in the building. Very few cable stations.
The breakfast was good . It was close to friend we were visiting.
You get what you pay for...$59.00 per night, but it's convenient. The hotel has an odor about it that can only be compared to vomit, but I believe it's some type of cleaning supply. While there is no longer smoking allowed in the hotel, to my knowledge, the rooms still smell strongly of smoke. I'd recommend going over all of the walls with Kilz and then some fresh paint. That should help. A change in cleaning products would be awesome also.
This is the third time we've stayed at Boonslick because it's about ten minutes away from friends who live at Lake Lockloma.
location and breakfast selection at a satisfactory price. We were well pleased and will stay on our next visit.
The room smelled like dirty socks. The receptionist gave me a bottle of liquid air freshener to mask the stench. Housekeeping was poor, at best. Beds were improperly made (Bedspread was pulled up over messy sheets, coffeepot was not cleaned or filter removed, area around coffee pot was not cleaned. Soiled cups (trash) were not removed. Continental Breakfast: Biscuits were stone cold (right out of the refrigerator), gravy (from a mix?) was luke warm and coffee hardly bore any resemblance to coffee. When I addressed these issues with the manager, his response was passive at best and he said there'd been no prior complaints (That is not what another employee told me). In short, I would strongly NOT recommend this Lodge. As for the area: Though a lovely area, there were virtually no places to eat other than two fast food restaurants and a Walmart.
One employee who worked 2:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. was responsive and appeared to be a good worker.
old shower heads without a lot of pressure. staff was not very attentive or friendly.
Very clean & quiet. Nothing fancy but more than adequate. Not a great selection for breakfast but what they did have was good.
I should have said something at the time, so bad on me- but the waffle batter was spoiled.
VERY large room and bathroom. Clean and quiet
Small TV, no HD
Clean room. Good bed. Quiet.
There were a few bugs in the room when we got there.
The staff were very courteous and friendly. I needed directions twice and they printed off maps for me and explained how to get there. Rooms and beds were cleaned daily.
Noise from the hiway and noise from other rooms
