This unique and historic hotel is less than a mile off I-93 and only a few blocks from downtown Boston. It features free parking and a daily continental breakfast.

- staff is very welcoming - rooms are ok
- there is very poor thermal insolation and the heater unit makes A LOT of noise : if it's cold outside you can choose between a cold room (and a lot of blankets) or wearing earplugs. - no breakfast included, the chinese restaurant inside the hotel is just ok - very poor quality/price ratio : roms of this quality should be at least two times cheaper
Room was clean and the essentials were there.
Old and worn a bit. No breakfast available. Security not the greatest. Side door was always left open. Parking was OK; however, a bit crowed with construction workers parking in the lot.
close to Back Bay area
Room was cold, only single pane drafty windows, even though heat was running, room never got comfortable, hotel needs renovation
Cold, thermostat turned all the way to warm but was too cold to get a good sleep. Heavy blankets discovered hidden in drawer in the AM which would've helped. Hotel crew knocked and barged in before hearing any answer, 3hr before checkout time.
The staff was courteous, helpful and professional.
When we arrived back at our room at about 3am we realized all along our window (at street level at the back of the hotel) had been wide open with no screen behind closed curtains. Also our thin full wall of windows was about 100ft away from the side of fenway park- which started some event at 7am loudspeakers blaring music and announcements for over 2 hours. We checked out and headed home to nh early to get some sleep.
run down looking. shouldn't have to pay for parking if you are staying there since they have a parking lot. noisy.
The price and the closeness to the conference I attended at Boston University.
The general shabbiness.
It was close to Fenway park
Didn't feel that secure, as it had random people walking the halls from the bar downstairs and the side back door was broken. I couldn't open it with the key card but if you pulled hard, it opened. Didn't exactly make me feel like it was a secured building.
location even though our event was at TD gardens Is a great location
bathroom was just ok and nearly clean odor in hall on first floor made us uncomfoprtable (had vomit and cleaner odor) Window in room was not secure
Good location and perfect with our budget!
Great location for Sox games, lots of sports bars, just around the corner from Fenway Park and a short walk to museums
Run down hotel, needs many updates and cosmetics
some of the employees were very friendly
there was one very unfriendly employee at the reception there was a very unpleasant smell in the room and the corridors too much money for value
being a stones throw from Fenway Park. Great baseball atmosphere.
Large room and bathroom, romm had a safe, a microwave, a coffee machine and a refridgerator, short walk to Metro line (t), Fenway Baseball park very close (Red Socks stadium), hotel bar with standup comedy, chinese restaurant in house, several bars and restaurants around.
The hairdryer had too little power and switched off often
the clean sheets
place was run down needs to be painted, needs new furniture and lighting.
Just the location
It was terrible. the room was dirty. there was not even soap in the bathroom. the wireless did not work.
The location was great; proximate to Fenway and Copley Square where we had business. Despite the challenges the property faces, the restaurant/bar was good and the staff was pleasant to interact with.
On arrival, its quick to understand that you made a mistake booking a room here. For the rate paid, the hotel was in a state of disrepair. The rooms were small, low ceilings and dated severely. The common areas had an unpleasant smell about them and an overall sense of safety was lacking. Despite its great location I would caution travelers to think twice about this property unless you are desperate for an in-twon location close to Fenway...even then I would caution the decision.
The bed was comfortable and clean. The staff most courteous.
The whole place was tired in need of decoration. We saw mice in the restaurant.
It is a great location and reasonable price for an expensive city. We LOVED being right behind Fenway Park and we were able to get tickets to a playoff game that night! The employees are friendly and great walking at Back Bay, museums, Boston University, public transit all nearby and we were very happy here.
Clearly an older hotel, some peeling wallpaper but clean and quiet.
the coffee maker
the hotel was old and beat. no elevator meant we had to carry bags to the second floor.
Helpful staff, budget friendly, good location, walking distance to restaurants
The location is right next to Fenway Park and is pretty close to public transportation
This is really more of a motel. Not that great and pretty dirty, but it was the only thing available in all of Boston for the entire weekend so we had to book it. Definately overcharged for the rooms as well.
Convenience to Fenway park. Great Chinese Restaurant. Fun bar.
