This elegant hotel is in the historic Ames building in downtown Boston, 2 miles from the Back Bay area. It features a 24-hour fitness center. Cable TV and a minibar are found in all rooms at the Ames....

Honestly, I don't see anything. Maybe just offer gluten free and vegan choices for meals, because of my allergies. That's the only thing for me that was missing.
Great hotel. The staff is really nice and helpful. There is everything you need in the room, even a little fridge! The location is perfect, the subway is just steps away.
I had a Cockroach crawl up my Arm AND WHEN I Reported TO Hotel Staff THEY SENT A Team UP To Investigate AND ALL I WAS TOLD WAS THEY WOULD GET BACK To Me As If I WAS THE ONE Who Brought THE roach.
The doormen and valet employees were excellent and they were very welcoming and friendly.
Drinks overpriced. All else great.
Location location location
Dont go there in the winter time
Easy access to everything , across the road u find faneuille and quincy market with all restaurants . Next to the aquarium and its a very safe area ... Little italy is within walking distance also ... Its a quiet area actually if u want a peace of mind and relax next to the sea where u can take a cruise .. Staff r ok !
Paying $12.95 for WiFi is ridiculous!! You're already paying enough for the room plus the parking!!! I would think a large chain could afford to absorb the cost.
Always a queue for breakfast.
Free wifi only in public areas. Daily in room charge. Annoying in this day & age when free public wifi so easily available locally
Hotel amazing as always.
WiFi internet access - even the fastest option is too slow by today's standards. Clouded window panes, probably due to failed vacuum. Expensive, but we knew that.
The hotel offers a superb harbor view of the new year's eve fireworks from its 3rd floor terrace, without the crowds. It is also a very good hotel - comfortable, quiet rooms, impeccably clean, good service.
It was a little pricey
The hotel was beautiful and location was great.
Very loud in the morning I requested 2 double beds and checked into 1 King and they had a double room right away so I felt like they didn't care about my request and then charged me a different rate than I was quoted
Location was great
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was quiet and very comfortable.
They charge for every last little thing
Staff friendly and helpful, comfortable rooms.
Cost of wi-fi per day in relation to cost of room. Included in many other high end facilities. Parking fee was a bit excessive for hotel guests.
for $500 the room was very small. We reserved king bed and when we arrived only had room with double beds. Decor was dated. Nothing special and we were disappointed.
The location and view of harbor
It was a Marriott and lived up to its reputation
I was initially given a room (without being alerted at the reception) with an internal view of the conference room, so I insisted on switching. The rooms on the 3rd floor have a heavy chlorine smell from the 3rd floor indoor swimming pool. The pillows were not comfortable so we had to request different ones. They charged me $48 for parking when I didn't even have a car. They eventually removed it from my bill. The staff were friendly and compliant, but for those prices I did not expect to have to ask for so many things and find an error on my bill.
Location Friendly staff
- False fire alarm early in one morning - First floor "lobby" - WiFi should be free of charge (too expensive)
- Location - easy to come and go - Services around the hotel (Aqvarium, restaurants, harbor, ...)
Left at 7 AM. Returned at 1 PM. Room hadn't been made up. They knew we were staying for a 2nd day and should have known we might want to use the room. When this was drawn to attention at desk, reaction was very defensive. Not enough coffee for coffee maker; should have been clear that they would charge for water; Water should have been free for $700 per night. Bathroom overall not very clean, and furniture felt somewhat sticky. Hotel ordered a car to take us to a destination. Order was for 7:10 AM. Driver took an airport run instead and we were told he would arrive at 7:30. We took a taxi instead. Fire alarm at 3 AM. Had to leave room and go to street. No staff around to direct to exits or explain. False alarm. Bad form. Considering the price, we felt like we were in a roadside motel.
Bed very comfortable. Good food in room service. Room service delivery and phone staff courteous. Plenty of electrical outlets.
The walls were not sound proof, cost is high for a three stars hotel
Location is great at the harbor with great view, staff are very helpful and smiling all the time
The accommodations where top notch but the location was even better. Easy access to water taxis, cruises, the Freedom Trail and great restaurants in the "North End" and elsewhere. We'll be back!!
I have not received the confirmation from the hotel either by email of phone call, and when I call back the last day of their stay in the hotel to check to make sure not get double paid, the girl whom I talk to is not very helpful.
I have received a fax to authorize my credit card for payment of my friends, I fax back to the hotel with my signature
Value for money - bit overpriced, as I would expect more attention for 'that' money (that is the only cathegory I have rated Good).
Hotel Boston Marriott Long Wharf is great spot to be in Boston. We stayed 4 nights with view direction to waterfront. Room was spacious, like the design. Very spacious areas, good hotel reastaurant.
Very very expensive. I guess its convention season. We usually pay $400ish and it was $800ish a night.
The staff was amazing and treated their guests with the utmost respect. They were accommodating and when they fell short once, they overcompensated after. Julie the Concierge was very patient while I waded through our patients.
