The location is a stones throw from the prudential centre. The apartment was a good size in a period building with everything you need for a short stay and I would stay there again. We loved it!
As it is a period property the windows are single glazed so you do hear the road noise but don't be put off as it is a great little apartment. We were on the 3rd floor and there are no lifts so if you are disabled this is not the place for you.
Location was perfect! Our son goes to Berklee College of Music and it was just a few blocks away from the school and his apartment. Newbury street is a few steps away from the front door and Copley Place mall a couple of blocks away. Most of the small apartments around Back Bay area have a queen bed and sometimes it is placed against a wall. I like that in this apartment you could climb in bed from both sides and both sides had a small nightstand. It's a pretty nice size for a studio in the Newbury St. area. It had plenty of shampoo/conditioner and hand soap so we didn't need to buy any. The kitchenette had everything we needed.
The blinds on the windows are very old and charming but do not close well and let a lot of light in during the morning and do not give you a lot of privacy at night. I didn't mind but my husband did. The A/C on the window worked fine the first two days but had to be replaced mid week because it kept freezing and stopped cooling. The first unit was very loud when it worked, and the second barely cooled the room but that should only be an issue during the summer.
The location was everything. This place is a nice little guest house in the middle of the Back Bay. 10 minute walk to Fenway, 10 minute walk to Beacon Hill and plenty of parking garages around the area.
The bed was not so comfortable and the place needed updating. However, the place was overall very charming and nice.
Perfect location and price! Staying in a studio apt in a beautiful brownstone building adds to the trip experience and allows you money to enjoy the city. The location is right in the Back Bay so you can walk everywhere. Boston is my home and it felt like I was living there again by staying in this studio apt. I will always stay here whenever I come back!
Own space Location
Air conditioner didn't work too well. Blinds need replacing as don't fit windows!
Location and the quiet time at night to sleep well.
would have liked at least minimal supply of coffee singles/condiments until we could find a store. would have liked an ice tray in the freezer so we could buy soft drinks and have ice for them. otherwise it was great.
Location was perfect to visit Boston from.
The quality of the bed and the blinds/curtains could be better.
Location and general facilities were the big selling points. The location was ideal for our purposes, the amenities were well appointed and worked fine, and the convenience of the door codes was great.
The room had no comfortable chairs. Even one comfy chair would make a big difference.
The location in Back Bay is very pleasant and is close to the shopping street and main roads to the downtown area. There are two 'T' metro stops within 10 minutes walk. The contact for our stay was friendly and helpful.
The Wifi was good to start but then it crashed and no one was available to fix it for the remainder of the stay. On the final day we were running 10 minutes late but the cleaning staff were rude and insistent and came into the bathroom whilst we were showering.
Lights 'out' and not replaced in bathroom. room is very mall and bedside lamps inappropriate...very easy to tip over on the tiny tables.
location was ideal. comfortable bed, nicely equipped kitchen, good information about local area, remodeled bath, secure and quiet building
this are more suggestions than complaints. there is no place to sit with any back support. only two very small bar stool and the bed. it's necessary to sign into system sometimes several time a day.
Excellent location right in the heart of Newbury and Boston. Tons of entertainment and options available within walking distance. Fully furnished and an excellent place to stay. Very comfortable play for a couple to stay. Well worth the price and more, couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our trip. Even save 10% tax on cost because it classifies as an apartment not hotel. Nice bedroom area, kitchen and bathroom.
Slightly noisy in the mornings, can hear everything going on outside. But the trade-off of being in a prime location was worth it.
The location was convenient, since we were attending a commencement at Boston University. It was close to the heart of Boston, so we could walk to many points of interest, including the North End, Boston Commons, Cambridge, the Public Gardens, South End, etc. The staff at the St. Botolph were pleasant and helpful, as we had to store our luggage there before heading to the airport. We liked having the kitchen facilities in the room.
It's located near some busy streets, so it did get a little noisy with traffic. The wi-fi wasn't working at first, so we had to make three phone calls (two to the Newbury staff and one to the technical support staff) to get them to re-start the router. After that, the wi-fi worked fine.
The apartment is in a great location, ideal for sightseeing and a great selection of bars, cafés, shops and restaurants all within walking distance. We stayed in suite 3, a little small but ideal for us (couple) and had everything we needed.
There was a bit of road noise (can't be helped as you are central boston after all) and the blinds let quite a bit of light through!
position, nice big apartment and full kitchen tools
too small kitchen sink
We never heard from any staff even after a fire alarm at 2 a.m. Kitchen was very poorly lit. We needed to turn the light on in the bathroom in order to see in the kitchen. No chairs to sit on only 2 hard stools. Even though we requested the 2nd floor because we are elderly,we were moved to the 3rd, up a long winding flight with one days notice. .
Excellent location. Safe. Neat and clean. Clear instructions for after-hours check-in. Fridge, microwave, stove and oven.
Small room. Can't imagine using it to be here for anything other than sleep and getting ready in the morning.
Ideally located. Good supply of good towels.
I could not find any thermostat and the room became quite chilly as it was very cold the few days I was there. The additional blankets were very thin.
Loved the building.
Safety was a small concern. No deadbolts and no on site staff.
The staff in the office were very helpful. We walked the short distance to the office to have them print our hockey tickets. We also were able to store our luggage after check out before leaving town. They were all very helpful.
The Location is amazing, near to Newburry and Boylston St. I needed save my bags after the check-out, i called for InnBoston and they recommend me put my bags and another Hotel from InnBoston near to Boston Newburry.
When i did my reservation, i just saw pictures from apartment one that is amazing. But i stay in apartment two, that is not so good.
Ambience & location. Very inexpensive for the location.
Toilet constantly running due to improper installation of float valve and flapper valve. Window blinds only lower to within 18" of window sill or jammed in the window frame. Had to lodge cushions and clothing in the window to block view from street into room. property is a bit run down. Door needs paint, pictures are poorly hung and didn't cover electrical panel, vanity doors peeling. Internet service terminated unnecessarily several times/day requiring frustrating procedures to relog on. Traffic & pedestrian noise from street is intolerable as windows not double glazed. Drunks in street hollering every night until 2 am!!
Great location and clean.
Their is an electrical problem and the TV does not work.
This place fit our needs perfectly. Was located just a few steps off of Newbury Street. Room was clean. Full of character. Good size for the area.
Street noise was always there. You could here peoples conversations on the street below. This could add to the charm of being in Boston or detract from your sleep.
The location and because I stayed there during a very cold January, the heat worked well and the room was cozy.
The hot water in the shower wasn't very hot, but it was really, really cold outside.
