Location of this hotel is excellent. One block away from Boston Commons and a short walk to Newbury St's amazing shops and restaurants. Hard to find a better location. Rooms are quite small. Barely room to walk around the bed. Booked the room with the understanding that I was getting a non smoking king for double occupancy. When I arrived I was told that my room was a 'standard' room with a double bed. The king was a 50$ upcharge per night. I never would have knowingly booked a double bed. Felt mislead and disappointed right from the start. Double checked my email confirmation and it just says standard room double occupancy with no bed size specified. I felt compelled to pay the 50 a night upgrade charge to at least ensure a similar comfort level as to want we are used to at home. For the adjusted price I eventually paid I would have booked elsewhere. Also I just got emailed a final bill and it includes bar/restaurant charges that I never even stepped foot in and minibar charges that I didn't use. Immediately called to have charges adjusted but was told accounting office was closed. Hopefully this will be remedied.

Really liked the night light in the bathroom - good design. Needed a step for the bed - too high which was readily available. Bed was a double - a little cramped for a mature couple. Liked the convenience of the location.

Breakfast with an attentive wait staff. Very pricey for our budget - this will limit our ability to stay there much.Such is life..... My sister found the same room elsewhere on the web for $100 less.

great service. the concierge was always friendly and helpful. Room was very small and, originally, very far from the elevator and included climbing stairs to get to my room.I was able to change rooms and that was much better. It would have been nice to know about the stairs and length of walk as I am 65. The front desk was helpful in relocating me-thanks!

The hotel staff was very attentive and helpful, and the location was excellent for sightseeing. The restaurants were excellent. The air conditioner was terribly noisy and could not be adjusted well. The room I stayed in was so small I could barely open the door without hitting the bed. The bathroom could have been nicer in terms of toiletries

The location was convenient. The hotel itself has a great history. It is elegant, clean and comfortable. The staff were very professional and friendly and dealt with all my needs efficiently. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again. There was nothing I didn't like about the Boston Omni Parker House Hotel.

We liked the size of the room we stayed in. Executive suite with a sitting area. The room rates through booking.com were very reasonable. Bathroom was a bit small but the added room space more than made up for this minor issue.

Its location couldn't have been more convenient, as my boyfriend and I were in town to see the Bruins' game at the TD Garden. We were also able to take a very quick and inexpensive cab ride to the North End for a wonderful dinner that night. The hotel itself was simply beautiful, and we felt like we were a part of history while staying there. The Boston Omni Parker House Hotel is a true gem.

Great location on the Freedom Trail-so easy to pop in and rest, change shoes, etc. while out exploring. I wanted to take some Parker House Rolls home, and the hostess at the restaurant was happy to get them for me-no issues at all. I was so pleased to have my request so easily filled. The check out time was not printed anywhere in the room information or on the back of the door. I had to call the front desk. Print the time somewhere and save your folks at the front desk unnecessary calls!

It Is nice old world style hotel, and location is good. we booked a junior suite, but were unhappy with this as the bathroom was miniscule and also the sofa was damaged. We complained and were given a new suite, which was better, although the bathroom was not much bigger than the first, but was better laid out. so overall we were happy with second room. Our friend was staying in an Executive double, and that probably was the better option. the bathroom was bigger and it had a kingsize bed. I believe standard rooms are tiny, so best to go as high as you can afford.

I loved the look and design of the hotel. I thought the staff were all very chatty and friendly. I loved how there was so much to do in Boston before we even left the hotel! The boston cream pie, jfk proposal etc - so much history in that place. And the room was spacious and the beds very comfortable, which is important. I will definitely recommend it to other people and hope to be back soon! It would be good to have free wifi in the rooms (I know it is free if you fill in the form but I found it difficult to fill it in online using my iphone and eventually had to give up). Free bottled water would also be good.

Classy, old Boston feel. In the middle of everything. A real old Boston experience. After problems with service the previous night, hotel comped our breakfast at Parkers, which was very much appreciated. We had two friends from Boston join us, and they were also impressed with both the restaurant and the service. I love this hotel, and I love even more that I find it at a reasonable rate at times. It's just not family friendly to me, it's more like a romantic Boston getaway for adults. I love being at the bar and even people watching while in the lobby. We sort of consider the Parker House our Boston headquarters, and we look forward to visiting again! Lots of valets with hands out, but services were lacking at first. No food available at night, and we got in late. Maid service knocked on our door at about 830am, and we checked in just before 11am, so they should have been considerate of that. Coffee maker in room held only two creamer portions, and I could have made 4-8 cups of coffee, so there should have been at least 3-5 servings of creamer. Room was great, bathroom was almost tiny. It's not really a family hotel, and I keep bringing my son when we stay, so we don't seem to get to enjoy the full experience.
