Location to Hoover Dam. Historical feel to the building.Because of the historical bldg, the bathroom was somewhat antiquated.
Beautiful downtown Convenient to restaurants
If you are looking an overnight stay to visit the Hoover Dam, this is the place to stay and the breakfast was one of the best we had in our three weeks touring around. The museum on the Hovver Dam is also within the hotel and is a must see before you visit the Dam. Excellent.
The hotel was located in the middle of downtown Boulder City. There is a museum in the hotel that tells the history of the building of the dam. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was amazing - you choose from a menu and it is cooked to order. Very friendly staff!
Tiny TV Wifi was only fair
Really liked the staff, building and atmosphere. Elevator to the second floor. Feels safe and comfy. Very good breakfast. Surroundings are also excellent (e.g. Dillinger bar). Strongly recommend.
No fridge in the room (at least I could not find one). Little free space in the room (was not really a problem)
This is a charming historic hotel in a quiet town away from the noise and traffic of Las Vegas. Rooms are small but adequate; a full breakfast is provided; there is an excellent in-house museum related to Hoover Dam.
So civilised after a day in Las Vegas. We have stayed in this hotel before and love the place. Free breakfast, good quality. Micro brewery across the road which had free entertainment.
The room was nice and big. Everything was ok. Verry good breakfeast. Boulder is a verry nice town.
All was good.
We loved the room. It was spacious, clean and everything worked. The made to order breakfast was a treat. This made breakfast much better than your usual bed and breakfast.
The front desk clerks were all very very slow.
Great full breakfast included. Nice area in old town, without casinos, for walking and shopping or window shopping. Patio seating at restaurants nearby. Hotel has air conditioning and elevator to 2nd story where the rooms are. Received a discount coupon for 2 for 1 Lake Mead cruise. Ask at desk.
We stayed there in mid September and the temps were over 100F. I really wish they had a pool or even a hot tub. We drove to Lake Mead ( 5 or 10 minutes away) for a swim each day. Small room but adequate for the two of us.
Nice size room Hoover Dam Museum an added extra
Polystyrene cups Bed wasn't comfy ( bit lumpy) Long wait for breakfast
A step back in time...enjoyed our stay.
Gentle and comfortable. This living museum is both comfortable, quirky and very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing.
Old fashioned upscale charm. If you want bells lights casino ... Go back to Vegas. If you want old school will appointed accommodations, stay here!
Close to Vegas
It was ok for the area, but a little high priced for the accommodations. Very small.
Built about 100 yrs ago, means that rooms are smaller than modern hotels, but it had everything including character. The staff we're extremely helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble.
There are shops below the rooms. Unfortunately one of the owners had left their radio on. The night porter was very good and sorted it straight away.
Staff, food, and the town
The staff is so nice! Breakfast is great and the room was good enough for us (nothing fancy / super basic). TThis is a great little area...
The lighting is a bit odd in our room... No hall /closet light. Bathroom is super small
An older hotel, but a spacious suite with a comfortable bed and two storage closets. Good breakfast included in rate. Right in the middle of a delightful old town, which has no gambling! (For those who want it, there are casinos right outside town and Las Vegas is close). The hotel has its own museum about the building of the Boulder dam. We spend several hours there. It is free to hotel guests. They upgraded us to a King Suite for free when I mentioned our AAA membership, but made it clear this was an exception - see negative below.
Bathroom was small, but adequate. They offer AAA/AARP discount, but not if you book through booking.com.
The location couldn't have been more convenient to the best of what Boulder City has to offer.
The hotel is a stately reminder of the past. Everything about the hotel takes the guest back to a time when celebrities and regular Joe's would escape to Boulder City.
A live band playing until 11 o'clock at night. Go back to Vegas if you want loud music.
I liked everything about thism Hotel, from the rooms to the down stairs, the staff was excellent. The Breakfast was Great, a sit down and order what you like witch was included. The 4th of July decorations were really pretty
I can't say I didn't like anything about this Hotl
Historic hotel which includes a museum about the building of the Boulder/Hoover dam. Very helpful staff and a nice small town, we used it as a stopover for one night on the way to Sedona. Good breakfast too.
I was very impressed with the whole experience. We were allowed to upgrade to a suite for just $5 extra. The room was clean and cool. The hotel is located in a quaint part of town, and it was nice walking around the area and checking out the little shops. I didn't realize a full breakfast was included, and it was excellent. We will definitely be coming back.
Not convenient if you have a boat. They don't have sufficient boat parking. But other than that...no complaints.
