I called for a reservation and there were no condos available. I got
online at booking.com and found there were condos and just what we
needed right off the bat at the same price quoted to me when calling
Still Waters Resort first. I would much rather speak and work with the
folks at the resort than an outside online website.
We always bring groceries and do our own cooking together for fun! The kitchen was very nice however there were 2 skillets--medium and small and both were thin and warped and the small skillet needed to be discarded as all of the non-stick surface was peeled and scratched off. There was one cleaning cloth and one towel, no coffee, no salt & pepper, no paper towels, no storage containers, no foil, 1-small baking sheet, not enough seating in living room area for 6 people at one time but the reservation was for 6, one of the dining room table chairs was broken and almost gave way when we tried to sit in it. The bath tub had a dirt ring around it in the 2nd 2-queen bedroom, both toilet seats were completely loose from the base and thank goodness my son-in-law had tools in his car so he could tighten the stool lids up, both stools were also very low to the floor and uneven on the floor and without safety bars to use. The queen beds were lumpy and non-supportive and we did not rest well. Next time I will know to ask for a room for disabled in hopes that the stools will be larger and higher from the floor with security bars to use for getting up and down off the toilet. Towels were available at a specific location on the resort grounds but that was not as convenient for us when needed. We had to go to Wal-Mart and purchase all of the missing items for the kitchen. We thought the nightly charge of approximately $350 was more than what we received and had to go purchase to work in the kitchen.
We tried the Table Rock Lake location and enjoyed being on the lake,
however, we could barely see the lake from our condo. We are senior age
and brought our daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren, 8 and 10 yoa.
There were 3 nice pools and lots of things for the kids to do. We also
enjoyed the Pizza Shop and bikes. The area had nice smooth blacktop on
the road and walkways that was nice getting around. The young concierge
people were very nice and helpful--thank you!
