The location of the hotel is convenient. Is close to the Metro and to the convention Center.
My room was in the basement and it was to cold and dark.
Clean and quiet.
There was no TV guide to what stations the channel numbers corresponded to, and staff at the desk were unable to figure it out either.
Bathroom was clean.
Walking distance from the Mall Quiet place Several coffee shops and restaurants just around the corner
There were no toiletries in our room, even no soap. The guy on reception gave me one soap and couple of shampoos but plainly refused to deliver them to the room (I was on my way out but my partner stayed in the room upstairs and needed the toiletries). Overall, the hotel leaves an impression of not very new and not very clean.
It was in a good position
Nothing, is cheap and not far from the center that why we have to be patience.
Bed was very comfortable, very personable little hotel. It is an excellent buy.
There was no wi-fi when I was there, this needs to be fixed.
It was small but clean and had an up to date flat screen unlike the old tv that is shown online. I didn't have any problems during my one night stay.
After turning AC/heater on it turns on and off instead of running consistantly and turning off once temperature is reached. However it did eventually warm the room up
Location accessibilty to public transportation and close distance to walk to most places to see and eat, clean and updated accomodation for reasonable pricing and helpful and knowlegeable front desk staff to answer questions and provide information when needed.
Minor update in the lobby for more physical appeall to compete with nearby hotels. We found a small cockroach crawling the wall on our 9th day of stay which we killed and told front desk.
distance from downtown quiet location
Way way too expensive.
Cleanliness and availability of staff
Room was smaller than expected and the closet had very little space
Cheap, location, free wifi at the reception
It's cheap, and you can see it in everything - unfriendly stuff, the hotel needs the complete and deep renovation in everything - furniture, decorations, all materials, awful breakfast.
free wifi in lobby clean small hotel
free wifi just in the lobby noisy neighbours (not really soundproof but we were only bothered when we were awake ourselves) didn't use breakfast tricky form when checking in! if you sign your initials everywhere, you'll sign for breakfast too so read the full page before signing!
Some items needs maintenance and some of the staff are tough
I had been to Washington before and knew that I liked to save money by getting a few meals at Whole Foods instead of dining out. This hotel is right by Whole Foods. It's also right by the Churchkey, one of the best beer bars in town. Hotel amenities were fair to good, and staff were friendly. I was glad not to be up on New York Avenue on motel row, yet still have a decent affordable priced hotel.
It was a bit of a hike to the nearest Metro stop, and the first couple mornings I got lost. If I'd wanted to take the bus, though, it would have been easier. Breakfast was $5 and it was the kind of continental breakfast most hotels don't charge for, so I skipped it; there was no in-room coffee though, which meant I didn't get morning coffee until I left the hotel. The TV didn't come with a channel guide, and if there was a local PBS channel on there I couldn't find it. Minor gripes overall. The only really annoying thing was the noisy delivery trucks outside starting at about 6:30 in the morning meant I couldn't sleep past then.
Location was good. Room price was lower than other hotels in the neighborhood.
We were able to hear people speaking in the corridor and rooms next to our one. Old hotel: Rooms and decoration would need to be refreshed.
Location excellent. The hotel/room was as expected--very clean, small, comfortable. I spoke with 4 different reception attendants all of whom were very pleasant & quite helpful. Just the place I needed.
The staff were nice and courteous.
I will not recommend for business travellers as internet access was limited and at times no access at all.
Room was clean and bed was comfy Good location
Hair dryer didn't work - didn't get a replacement until the next day Staff weren't friendly or helpful Lift was noisy
poor quality of the bed
Cheapest place in a great area, honest and friendly staff, Good Breakfast for $5
Wifi worked once during the days I spent there
As excepted, very small room but very clean, great, safe location. Not a breakfast eater so didn't check out food options but enjoyed free coffee/tea. Had interactions with 3 different front desk employees all of whom were quite friendly & helpful.
Can't beat the location. Very reasonably priced for the area.
Needs new everything.... lights, heaters, air conditioners, elevators, WiFi...
