Value for money, yet clean and comfortable.
No private parking. The suggested public parking place nearby is rather expensive.
the bathroom is OK
no chair and table to work in the room. internet was off (4 days !!)
I loved that it was in down town D.C so I could do a little exploring.
The rooms are a little small, walls are thin, late at night I could here music from downstairs at the bar, to pricey for such a small room. Upset there was no mini fridge.
The staff were great!
The free wifi was available only in loby and it was cutting in andout frequently.
Location relatively ok
Nothing. It was a 4 Sq M room with a small bed. Dirty like hall. Pigeons at the unwashed old wood window will not allow you to sleep if the AC wich is very very noisy is off. If it is on you will not be able to sleep, because of the huge noise. Everything is old and useless. I am sorry I can not attach photos. I am wondering how US gov allows to this people to rent rooms. NEVER go there!!!!
we enjoyed the location very much. Also the Parking opportunities
Wifi was not working at all the two days we spend there. This was unacceptable as we needed it to plan our following travels. Also, a room could not fit two people with suitcases. We had to be one on the bed at all times. Too small!
Well located, next to 14th Street. Comfortable beds
Really bad wifi connexion, even in the lobby it does not work all the time. No breakfast (just some coffee and waffles on a couch...)
Location + it was cheaper than other hotels. Also they had free maps of Washington in the lobby.
Free wifi did not work on any of the days we spent there. Although we arrived on the coolest weekend of February, the heating was not turned on before we arrived, the room was very cold upon arrival. The door of the bathroom could not be closed only if you slammed it really hard which was very loud. The window of the bathroom must had some issue because the bathroom was like a fridge, cold coming inside through the window. The window in the room was disgusting, at least covered by curtains. Paper tissue and shower gel were not replaced although we ran out.
The location was perfect. It's a charming area filled with character. The white house, Lincoln memorial, etc is 25mins away TOPS.
I asked about the WiFi password and of course it was free. However, I wasn't told that the WiFi is weak and may only work in the lobby. It wasn't until I went back up to my room that I saw it wasn't working then had to go back down to front desk to clarify. The rooms are basically a closet with a bat
Ice Machine Broken , Wifi only worked in the lobby, the rooms dont look like the pictures, desk person wont answer phone when people throw parties at 3 am, tv only got one channel.
Hotel was easy to find (not an easy feat for country bumpkins like myself coming into the city) and the staff was courteous. We chose the hotel because it was under $100 a night and close to the Verizon center (about a $8 cab ride), where we had tickets to a Wizards game. The room, while not particularly nice, had a clean, well-made bed and clean bathroom, which was all we really needed.
Don't expect anything fancy, every piece of furniture was scratched and banged up looking, one of our 4 pillows was not really a pillow but a plastic, crinkly, pillow shaped object, the carpet needs a deep cleaning badly, and the walls were thin enough for the boisterous cleaning staff to wake us up in the morning from the hall and nearby rooms. The $30 for parking is a joke, since the 4 (!) available spots in the rear of the hotel are so tight that only compact cars can fit in them, and even then there's the worry of door dents and scratches due to the 6 inches of room between cars. That being said, we chose the room because it was under $100 a night, versus most of the other nearby hotels that were over $200 a night. It was a place to sleep and worked out fine for that.
Wifi rarely worked and only available in the lobby
Location is good
No WiFi in the room, have to come down to the lobby.
Wifi was down and nobody warned us before our arrival. Bathroom window could not be opened. The bed and the room were small for 2 people.
not far from metro station, very close to bars, shops and restaurants
The location was really good, price and quality very fair
Not enough parking lot
staff was somewhat friendly and the heater worked.
The lobby was under construction, carpet dirty, bathtub was peeling paint, waffle maker was not working and there was no where to sit for breakfast.
I saw very mixed reviews and wasn't sure what to expect. Overall, it's a decent budget hotel. Don't expect a lot of amenities, but if all you need is a room in the city for under $200/night (hard to find), this is a good choice. Location is excellent, there are restaurants and stores all around and the Convention Center is in easy walking distance. Room was a little on the small side, but clean, comfortable and had some recent renovations (the bathroom looked new).
The WiFi does not work in the rooms, only in the lobby (even though my room was directly above the lobby). The heating/AC unit in the room was very loud and cycled on and off, so we had to turn it off to sleep.
I stayed there for 4 nights. Two of the nights the one elevator was out of order and I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs. I was under the impression free wifi was available in my room. It was not; only in the main lobby. When I tried it in the main lobby, I had problems connecting after a few minutes of it operating ok. The attendant was not helpful. The room had no space to hang clothing or anything, so basically I had to dump my clothes on top of my luggage.
Perfect Location!!! only 10 minutes walk to the White House and the Congress
The hotel was surprisely bad! The structure is not like in the pictures. The room was dirty and the service not good! The only good thing is the location!
It's closer to the white house than I thought while I read the map. I could walk to there with my young children. They gave me two double bed room as I left message in advance without any cost.
I hope there will be a electric kettle in the room.
The old looking of the wall and the doors paint
Don't move or you'll kick your partner in the face
This hotel is within walking distance to the white house and nearby attractions
Parking was scarce, there was only 4 parking spots that this hotel has.
