Hospitality of the staff.
Food was fantastic. Apartment cute, safe, quiet. Nothing fancy but all we needed.
It's a bit out of the way but close to CTA and very easy to get downtown. They also have free, lighted parking.
Breakfast, especially the Sunday gospel brunch is fabulous. The suites are large and comfortable. All of the staff are very nice and helpful.

There was NOTHING we didn't like about Bridgeport B&B
Location was awesome (not a bad neighborhood like I was originally told by others). We felt like we were visiting old friends. Dave and Kevin were amazing as was the rest of the staff. They made us feel like we were rock stars! I will never stay in any other hotel while visiting Chicago. I am already excited about going back to visit Bridgeport and their staff. It was quiet and the BEST breakfast I have ever ate. I had a sweet potato, dill carrot, summer squash and mushroom omelet & cream brulee w/ fresh fruit and a vodka maple glaze. We stayed in the Sox suite which was like a loft w/ 4 beds, dining area, refrigerator and kitchen table. My girl friend wanted to move in but we had to come back to take care of our dogs lol. I guarantee you will not be disappointed and if you are then you need to get your head examined.
Unique experience in a history rich building. Nice part of town. Shuttled to our event.
I booked the room for 2 adults and 1 child, during check out it was referred to their homepage, that the child must pay additionally, this was not visible at all at booking.com, it costs me 200 Dollar more, unfair behaviour! Never again! It is far away from Downtown without car, 5 minutes walk to bus station, 10-20 minutes waiting time for bus, no cups, no coffee machine in the room. The sleeping room towards the street is loud, even with ear protection the night was over at 5. The bathroom smelled unpleasant, one bed had the smell of mothballs
Breakfast, free ride to Red Line
The breakfast was fantastic ! The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They even brought us chocolate brownies when the rain kept us cooped up in our room.
From thornier and staff, to the room and especially the food! Best place to stay in Chicago. Easy access to DT via L or by car! Kevin pointed us to restaurants that are a must and we found local Bridgeport gemstone- Shallers near Canaryville and a Mexican on31st. Incredible experience. Safe, secure and accommodating B&B! Thanks Dave.
The hospitality of Dave, Kevin and the staff is what made my stay so delightful. Not to mention the food served in the Polo Cafe. I can't imagine staying anywhere else for future visits to the Chicago area.
Our suite had just one bathroom
Friendly, personalized service (Kevin and Dave are just great!!), delicious breakfast (made for you!), 20 min from downtown Chicago yet we woke up every morning to the sound of singing birds, our suite (Sox) was huge.
Location not good for getting downtown easily
Excellent breakfast Nice accommodations Friendly and helpful personnel
Had a wonderful time. Excellent food and great location for attending the White Sox ballgame!!
There was not a thing we didn't like. (unless it was that we couldn't stay longer).
The personal care and service from the owner and staff. The owner interacted with us as though we were his personal guests whom he had invited into his home. He went out of the way to provide extra care. We will stay in this quaint, lovely, facility every time we visit Chicago.
The room could be spruced up a bit. A fresh coat of paint.
The proprietor and staff were so accommodating. The food was terrific.
I loved everything
This place was something out of a movie or a dream... Amazing service and a warmth rarely experienced out of the home.
