I loved being so close to cedar point. I had teenage girls with me so it was nice because I could leave them on their own to go to the park while I waited at the room for them. I could not have done that with a hotel off site.
I didn't like the price. It was really high for an old, old room that was dingy and not updated in the least.
It was really convenient being able to walk right into Cedar Point. Early entry was nice. Being able to quickly walk back to the room to take a break or to grab a jacket or recharge a smart phone was great. The view of the lake from the screened in porch from a lake-view suite on the 6th floor of the tower was very nice - especially the sunrise.
The remodel is over-due, but since rooms will be remodeled by May 2015 that is a moot point. I do think rooms are overpriced. (Obviously you're paying for the convenience of being very close to the park.) I'd like to see snoopy / peanuts more prominently throughout the hotel - not just on the second floor of the tower.
The staff and room were good. This is my 4th stay this season and I had 3 good rooms and one not so good. I can not wait for the remodeled hotel in 2015.
All okay this visit.
Love how close it is to park especially when traveling with a child with special Needs. We had to come back and forth a few times to our room and the close proximity was great.
The rooms are so outdated. You get to the room and wonder how clean it is because the linens and decor are so old.
Location was good, room was good although needs an update, the staff was good.
Not being told ahead of booking that the scheduled 8:L00 AM "color run" would involve blasting music over the park's P.A. system at 6:45 AM and continuing until 8:00 AM and then starting again around 9:30 AM and finally stopping at 11:00 AM. Neither the front desk nor security seemed to care but instead told me to call Bryan Edwards since he was in charge of the event.
So convenient to run back and forth from Cedar Point and PointFest! Staff was friendly. Close to restaurant.
Rooms need updated, they are starting to remodel. Pool water was too cold. High prices.
Availability to cedar point park and early entry
We paid a high price for a clean but very average room with no view to get into the amusement park an hou early. Not worth the money
The room on my first stay was good. This room was quiet, could see a few of the rides over the roof. Cedar Point entrance was within walking distance. Snoopy was roaming the lobby and halls in the hotel. Perkins Restaurant was good.
Room had loose toilet seat, lights were unplugged, electrical outlet was loose and bathtub was very slow to drain.
Proximity to Cedar Point park Outdoor pools Beach on Lake Erie
Rooms were terrible -- we checked out early b/c we couldn't stand the prospect of another night Could feel springs in beds Bathrooms moldy Everything sticky and old
dirty old facility pricey
Didn't have to walk far to the park entrance.
The Hibachi was very disappointing. The room was dirty. Basically just paid for walking distance to the park.
The front desk staff was very helpful. This is an older hotel and is being updated. Snoopy greeting the evening guests in pajamas was cute. Perkins Restaurant in the hotel: the servers and food were good. Short walking distance to Cedar Point entrance.
Toilet seat loose, two lights were unplugged with a loose outlet cover, and bathtub took along time to drain.
Location , parking
Beds , tv
Excellent location for Park activities .
TGI Friday in the hotel ......service and food was marginal . Way overpriced! Suggest bringing in food from home or restaurants outside of the Cedar Point Causeway. Refrig in room.
Did my searching and found a better deal online for the hotel. I saved over $80 for the one night we stayed. I liked that we could pre-check in early and use all amenities at that time. I was very excited to find that they had a room ready for us at 10am when we got there...instead of waiting until 4pm!!! Having the beach right there was great for the kids, they loved it. Loved having the amusement park right there as well. The shuttle service is very nice and convenient.
I wish that the rooms were a little more affordable, but thankfully I found a deal that saved me some money. Would not be able to stay there for multiple days though because of the price. That may be my main complaint!
room was clean staff friendly and courteous
appointments in room were dated, i.e very old TV pool areas could have been cleaner
truthfully, the ONLY good thing about our stay was the location.
This hotel is OLD and RUN DOWN The TVs are ancient Zeniths on stands...my kids were amazed! They tried to keep it clean, but the bedspreads were threadbare and stained! The beautiful lake had a tiny area cordoned off for "swimming" and you were not permitted to go into the lake anywhere else other than this 30 metre section-the deepest this section of lake got was to our knees-people were lying on their bellies trying to cool down, as the pool was crowded, the water was cloudy and the chlorine was very strong. Will NEVER stay at an on property resort-the savings are not worth it at ALL
Need more versatile restaurants with healthy menu options.
Room price .Friday's restaurant was bad (prepared bad....bad service....had two things floting in my drink)
Very run down and out dated for $340.00 a night,
all was great! just wish u had room service, hahaha!
Old rooms that need to be remodelled. Feels dirty.
the staff was very helpful and friendly
on Sunday night at 8:00PM the park closed, so many familes including ours, waited to after the park closed to spent time at the indoor pool but for whatever reason with lots of families still staying at the hotel they closed the indoor pool leaving a lot of disappointed kids
