Friendly staff, great location, loved the bicycles!!

Restaurant expensive and not great.

The maid was not good - forgot my room one day even though it had been empty all day - never really cleaned well and forgot things like coffee

Hotel met our expectations. It was clean, in a very lively location and had decent customer services. Biggest thing that I was disappointed with was that when I found the hotel on booking.com, the offer was for $139 which is why I chose the hotel.

However, after various taxes and "hotel fees", which were not clearly expressed, it ended up costing over $200 per night which was highly disappointing.

The hotel people were very nice . the both managers, mr jayme and avrahmn were very kind. Firstly I stayed at penthouse nr 8 but it was so small . mr jayme immediatelly changed my room for nr 335 that was perfect with good space and excellent bathroom and shower in general the hotel workd perfect despíte of be very big for ocean drive area the location is fantastic and everything work very nice . all employees have the smile on his face and it is very important for the guests that feel more confortable and relax by being attended by happy people. Ceraytinly I will return to this hotel and indicate it . I am very rigid person and conside this hotel excellent in all general aspects .

The only one thing that I did not like was not redlated to hotel but to the bus service that left us to the shopping sawgrass. One driver ( tall man ) that picked us up at sawgrass on saturday 20 was very unpolite and treated the customers as cattle . and the women was not polite too . very rude and asked me to change bus for the second time . I refused . she said that I am not the boss . I replied to her nor you and I am customer that pay your salary . so I claimed with mr jayme that I think already claimed with such bus coy .

The art Deco decoration was authentic

The fact that the hotel surrounds a music venue which plays all day and night makes it impossible for guests to sleep. This fact was not indicated in the internet hotel listing nor was it passed on to guests when they check-in. In addition they had the audacity to charge me extra because I checked out after one night. Horrible vacation experience. I will turn this matter over to the attorney general, the bbb, and an attorney if it is not resolved.

the Hotel is very nice. the staff was very helpful and courteous. The room was very clean. If you want to experience South Beach Miami, I highly recommend this hotel. You are right smack between all the hot clubs on south beach.

The bed was too soft for us and we had a balcony but they do not have chairs on the balcony to sit and enjoy it. They have a great terrace at the top of the hotel, but the first night it was reserved for a birthday party so we could not enjoy it. We did on Sunday evening.

Staff were superb: informative, helpful and all round friendly people. The rooms were adequate, with very up to date bathroom fixtures and a decent bed. The hotel provides bicycles for a free one or two hour jaunt around South Beach - a pleasant way to see a lot of the area very efficiently. There is also a lovely, if utilitarian roof deck from which you can watch the passing parade and view the ocean.

Easter Saturday night was LOUD - bands, music right next door on an open air stage (north side and south as well). On the north side there is also a large AC fan (10 feet in diameter) that drones incessantly, adding ultra low frequncies to the raucous music. Perhaps this is the way it is on weekends, but don't bother going to bed early (before 0200) unless you happen to be deaf. Have to say that the room balconies on the north side are small and of little use - not worth the premium. Parking all over South Beach is limited and expensive, a problem for all the hotels, not just the Breakwater.

Location, location, location.

We were put in a room beside the courtyard and not advised that a dance music gig would go on until 4am! We moved room but did not get the superior room we booked for the second night.

Perfect location right in the middle of restaurants and clubs on Ocean Drive. Pool and exercise room were convenient. Room was not overly large, but was comfortable and had all usual facilities. Free International calls were included from the room.

Lift was very slow.

Location Room 432 was ok large space.

the "second" loby (ex EDISON) looks like a back room and does not reflect the master Breakwater loby.

The staff was amazing! They were all friendly and helpful, especially Ana from the front desk. She really is a perfect guide! The rooms were clean, location was just at the heart of south beach. It was all excellent. I would love to go back soon, we had so much fun. =)

Room was very cosy and newly furnished with modern items. Room spacious and had been given the best room in hotel 431 which is on the highest floor and overlooking the waters and main strip on south beach. Room service was okay. Got a complementary champagne for being honeymooners which was nice. Toilet and shower were also really nice. Room has complementary coffee and tea which is also a plus. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Hotel is small and if you are looking for value for money it definitely what your looking for. Bit noisy from clevlander music. But being on a higher floor definitely helps. Definitely stay at fontain bleu if you want the best hotel in Miami.

I loved the art deco theme I loved the location. Right in heart of Miami beach. Cpuldnt get any better.

Major problem on hotel Edison side. Rooms were gorgeous but had to change rooms due to noise next door from Clevelander club

The hotel was clean and the room was fine as long as you could get one at the back of the hotel, otherwise the noise from the bars and the street could be disturbing.

We did not like the whole South Beach area. It is rather tacky and everything is overpriced. I would not go back there.

Everything was great except for the room service. Staff very friendly. A bit noisy at night but then again it's south beach!

Room service was terrible. They did not clean the room in the morning and when they did, they did a horrible job, leaving dirty sheets unchanegd, dirty towels unchanged, and used coffee mugs were left as is!

The staff was very friendly and always smiling. Great location, across the street from the beach. Mango's is on the same block, which was amazingly fun. Best restaurants in the area. I would stay for sure again if the price is right.

The price.

The front desk service was good, friendly staff and excellent bell boy. Their restaurant is also good, better than the other restaurants I've tried on Ocean Drive.

The keys to my room didn't work. I had to keep going to the front desk to change them. Also, room service was an absolute disaster. They didn't clean the room until very late in the afternoon. They didn't add new towels or replace my tissue box with a new one (I had used it up). Lastly, there was a live show downstairs that didn't stop until 2/3am, and the music was very loud I couldn't sleep.

Closer to a noisy area of discotecs

I liked the location Roof top area to watch the fireworks at midnight The manager was helpful when I made a complaint Most of the reception staff were nice - Swimming pool and view had a great advantage Porters were very helpful in getting me a taxi back to the airport in that they took cases to Collins Ave Cleaning lady left me extra milk as requested as 2 small containers for up to 4 hot drinks does not work. She was also very nice and always friendly Beds were v comfortable and good quality bath towels

Hotel room was on 2nd floor - no city view per say but just above the utilities area therefore constant noise from below. Room was in an entry location - bins collected and deliveries being made from 0430 making it difficult to sleep. Rooms were not double glazed - but are to be done in the Spring which will be helpful Did not know the area was going to be so noisy at night with loud music blearing from the Cleveland Hotel most of the day and up to 1am. Being charged $15 for the use of the beach beds and a further $15 for use of an umbrella. I did query this and got this cancelled from my room charge. Also no hotel towels available on the only day I did use the beach so was unable to use the plastic sun lounger. I waited 2 hours but none arrived. I was told by the company that run the beds that I could go and get one myself from the hotel which was no satisfactory Room cleaning - room was not hoovered daily Table was not cleaned - just wiped over and therefore marks left Ice bucket had no handle and whilst there for 8 days - the ice machine on the 3rd floor did not work I had to go to the ground floor for ice. toilet handle did not also work so unable to flush - had to lift the lid and pull the plug up. Also the connecting rubber pipe in the cistern had come lose and I fixed this. Toilet then worked Key cards constantly would not work and I had to go to reception to get this reissued on numerous occasions Also had problems using these in the lift. Believe the charge of $399 weekdays and $499 weekends is extremely high for this hotel which I would not put higher than a 3 star standard Taxes were a further 13% on top of the daily rate Wifi did not work

We loved the Breakwater. It's a very lively place right in the middle of South Beach directly across from the beach. It was one of the few places that had live music at night, happy employees, energetic guests for people watching. The music from there and next door could be heard until late in the night which we loved (it was Christmas Eve) and could watch from our balcony. The upgrade to the penthouse floor is worth it since those have balconies and ocean view. Not a big room, but very clean, modern and the bed was great! Will definitely stay there again.
