There's no cover on the toilet and so not a lot of space to put things. Only one hook in the bathroom and the safety deposit box didn't work.
The room was clean and quiet and staff were very nice.
The hotel was very clean. The staff was helpful with getting a list of cabs.
Front Desk Personel
No restaurant onsite. It needs a paint makeover in the hallways and more lighting. The floor I stayed was kind of dark other than the lighting by the elevators. Also there was an old smell in the hotel...sort of moth ball-ish. Invest in an air freshener system and update the rooms. Just because the hotel is connected to a hospital, that doesn't mean it should smell like one.
Free parking and convenient location.
No coffee in room, no fan in bathroom, old.
I would like it if I could get some type of incentive since there is where I stay at every time I'm in town.
I love the friendly staff and the location is good. The beds are very comfy and i enjoy the jacuzzi.
The rooms were nice and spacious bathrooms
The hospitality is Great,nd the beautiful lobby, the pool is nice also.
No shuttle service and the taxi drivers didn't seeme to know where to find the place. It was fine if I was in the cab with them, but when I called to have them come get us they ALWAYS went to the wrong location...
I was super quiet which is what you might expect from this sort of place. I rarely saw anyone in the hallways. I guess that the majority of the guests are there to be close to friends and family in the hospital.
Took along time for the room to cool and the bed was really hard
Close to hospital
No free breakfast for the money we spent on the room.
It was spacouse, clean, nice in inside lobby and easy to finfn
Mostly everything. Finding your room was a bit confusing
Had to drive 15 to 20 minutes into the city to find good restaurants and attractions.
Hotel and atmosphere good. Very peaceful and away from hustle and bustle of downtown.
View of courtyard. Dirty windows and did not open. No smoking area permitted because of the hospital. No continental breakfast. Coffee was too expensive from PJ's. Long walk to the parking using two elevators with hospital patrons.
Nice clean room
No free movie channels
Room was very spacious, staff was nice and the lobby is to die for!
Room was old and dated and beds were not very comfortable
Staff was very friendly and accommodating
The hotel website is misleading. It is part of the giant Orchner Medical Center Hospital. Their website shows no photo of the building exterior. The courtyard and pool do exist, but it is still part of the medical complex that specializes in organ transplants. If you want to vacation at a hospital, this is the place to go! One mattress was nice, the other one was old and saggy.
The interior courtyard-atrium is pretty with a fountain and bubbling water. Free coffee at the desk until 6:30 a.m., then the hospital cafeteria opens. The free coffee disappears and the hospital cafeteria charges $1.20 a cup (no refills). No free breakfast (buy it at the hospital cafeteria).
We ended up staying three days,by rerenting each day. Our room was not cleaned until the third nights stay. Then we had to call the front desk to request the days of linen be removed from the bathroom.
The only thing that was a major negative was the hotel is connected to a hospital. I was so upset that, they don't say that on the website. If I knew that I would have not stayed, but other than that it was okay.
The staff was very friendly and cared about their guests. They made it very comfortable for us.
we were there for mardi-gras and the money we saved by staying 6-7 miles away we,spent enjoying great food and loads of fun in new orleans. the shuttle service was nice and the driver was even nicer!
House keeping didn't give us enough towels every night .
What I like most was the front desk workers and house keeping. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful.
got a phone message about someone being at the end of life and could we go...no idea who that was as we were there for a wedding...didn't have anyone at the hospital...
Odor in hallway
Size, comfort, parking, vacinity, diner nearby
