The staff was excellent and efficient. Gave us adjoining rooms at the last minute as requested. It was clean and everything worked.
I love to take a nice hot shower when I visit a motel. It is a highlight for me. This one was a narrow, weak, and disappointing stream that came. Temp was great but it was like bathing under a weak garden hose. Ugh. The beds were soft and great but if you reached a side, it rolled like an air mattress.
Location....clean room....bed OK
Staff unfriendly...long walk to room....
Great place. Comfortable room and the bed was great.
I thought the value was good for the money.
Old toilet seat.
Plenty of room for my walker.
no toilet paper holder no place but bed to watch tv body wash and shampoo dispenser inoperable smelled like old food.
creature-comforts for the price, reasonably accommodating staff
Everything was reasonably good. A few minor maintenance issues had been over-looked, but, for the money, guests should have reported those.
a lot of room to walk around- NO BUGS.. CLEAN COVERS..VERY PLEASENT TO RELAX
-the Only garbage basquet was in the bathrom -no more baskets around the room. Not enough lightning,-very dim light bulbs/ small bathroom- just one mirror - Pillow cases too saggy..
Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen facilities were limited but adequate.
Bathroom was a little small and the shower was terrible - little water pressure.
The lady at the front desk in the mornings was very pleasant and helpful. Good size room.
The vanity sink didn't drain barely at all, and 2 of the table lamps didn't work. Much better than the America's Best Value Inn. Do NOT stay at America's Best Value Inn
The room was clean, bright and much bigger than expected. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. This was a very good value due to the low price.
They were obviously skimping on supplies and amenities to keep the price down. Only one water glass available, no coffee pot, very meager breakfast. Though clean, everything was of mediocre quality.
We did not feel comfortable staying at this hotel. The room was in very poor condition...carpets were dirty and stained, walls were dirty and marked. We didn't even want to get into bed. Couldn't wait to get out of there.
everything,.its more than what we expected actually..
not that i didnt like,.but i think they should get the shower more pressure..so i can take a shower much better.. :)
The room was lovely, very roomy and comfortable. Wi-Fi was good too.
There was a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee ! Breakfast was disappointing too. Unhealthy choices and not many of those!
- Hotel itself is clean and more modern than expected. Not amazing, but good for a two-star hotel. - Walking distance from great restaurants, movies, Walmart, fast-food, and parks. - Very nice and helpful staff.
- Around the hotel, particularly at night time, shady-looking and peculiar individuals were hanging out; not the best area in Portland. - Internet was fast yet unreliable and disconnected regularly - Bizarrely strict guest policy for friends visiting room
The room was very big and comfortable.
The walls are very thin and I woke up at 1 am because of a screaming child running in the hallway. But that's not the owners fault.
No shampoo and conditioner. Lacking good breakfast for the price of the room.
- Very big room; - Quiet.
- Breakfast was non-existent: just some OJ and muffins. - The light didn't work over the sink so you couldn't shave properly; - The hot water for the shower was just warm.
Large rooms with a dividing wall between the bed and sitting area. Free breakfast was basic.
The value money
The carpet was very dirty. Not a clean room, as it should be.
Bed was comfortable, good shower
Very dirty, carpet stains, walls with dead spider, sheets with cigarette burn marks, welfare facility with people up until 3:00 AM. Internet spotty at best, no coffee with maker, 'breakfast' was store bought donuts and coffee
Lady at front desk was cheerful and efficient
The place was really dirty. Honestly, it was just plain filthy. I don't think you should work with companies that advertise free breakfast and then don't have it. We had a choice of English Muffins we could remove from a bag, a jar of strawberry jam, mini-muffins in a bin from Safeway and nothing else. The value of this was about $1.00. There were 4 chairs at a single table and we were not allowed to take the food out.
Location was great for our needs. Staff gracious and helpful. Room spacious with couch, microwave and refrigerator. The queen bed was clean and comfortable and the room was clean and nicely organized with a 4' high wall that divided the bed from sitting/living/relaxing area.
We needed a place to sleep before lab tests the next day. Briarwood was more than adequate for our needs--no complaints.
Mostly quite and friendly staff.
Toilet keep backing up. card key kept cancelling every day of our stay.
Some of the front desk clerks were nice, but a couple were rude.
thin walls, could hear everyone. Lots of wear and tear, pillows were too thin - neighborhood was questionable.
Receptionist tried to accommodate us, although she put us in a knowingly bad, uncleared room first. She was nice and did try.
The place is very run down, I don't know how it could pass any inspection. The first room had not been cleaned, probably for weeks. The old tobacco smoke odor was extreme and could not be avoided anywhere in the place, we were told that they were non-smoking, wrong. We addressed our needs and we're moved to a cleaner room, the odors and dirt were still there. The bathroom fan did not work, the door was near falling off the hinges, it was an altogether very bad experience. We travel to Portland frequently, just got caught off guard with this one. We're done with that place and your agency. You really should have a clue when you represent and rate the places you book. We're done, no reply needed.
