Its fishing town with adrinking problem.

We were there during Bike Week and the old men rumbling over the bridge were a constant back ground noise. Some of the fishermen on the boats were a little obtrusive at times, nothing serious.
The wildlife that you can watch here is extraordinary! We ended up faintly blase about the pelicans, dolphins, huge shoals of fish and anhenga. The kitchen was unusually well equipped and watching the sun break through the early morning mist was unforgettable.

Your room was not cleaned Dailey the pillows were very hard glad we had extra no hair dryer or shampoos for the price little extras would be nice
The closeness to the shops and restaurants in town and the fact that you could fish right from the motel

We had a great time! Great central location to explore the area. If you want to fish just walk out the door and cast a line.

Had a guest come in and was told a bed would be put in the room. This is why we stayed. No extra bed. We stayed 5 days but left the last day early. I asked for a refund for the last day but was told no exceptions. Bob knew we were being understandable about a very disruptive guest by the name of Donna. They could have a least met us with a partial refund. All I got was "sorry".
The location was amazing but beware of undesirables wondering around.

Condition of the whole property. Not as clean as it should be. The rooms badly need upgrading to justify the price. There is a serious lack of maintenance. Lazy management?
Good unique location on the pier.

The linens needed to be replaced several years ago. I know they are used a lot but the quality of the sheets were not good. The mattresses could have been better. They also were very old.
The location was great with a water view and a beautiful sunset.

Booked a waterfront room through Booking.com. The inn called and said they were sold out and they would have to move me to a non-waterview room. When I got there there was a vacancy sign and only two cars. The next morning I asked if they were sold out and the person said no. There were at least a 1/2 dozen water view rooms empty. They just wanted to penalize me for using booking. Don't stay here
The location of the hotel is amazing if you are visiting Matlacha. Walked over the draw bridge at sunrise to see tarpon, snook, and dolphins.

No kitchenette although on the booking form it said we should have one Room was size of closet, The Gulf view we were supposed to have could only be seen if you peered through the window to the right The bathroom door didn't fully open. The bedside light had to be plugged into the bathroom socket, which meant that you couldn't shut the bathroom door. The TV wouldn't work at first and when we got it working, we couldn't get rid of the subtitles. We were obviously given the worst room in the hotel, which they seem to reserve for people who book through online hotel searchers like booking.com It is room 5B
Location Friendly lady receptionist

A dream come true. It is built above the Gulf of Mexico water and has only on one side entrance from land. Thre three sides are for mooring

Not as clean as I would have liked, we found Hall's Cough Drops in wrappers under the living room table. This makes me wonder what else there may have been.
The people we're all great. The fishing was great and the boat rental we got was a fantastic deal. I loved that we could take our dog "Sam" out with us where ever we went he was welcome to. Sitting on the deck was fun but I think a few umbrellas would help, the sun was very hot in the afternoon.
