The location was great with a water view and a beautiful sunset.
The linens needed to be replaced several years ago. I know they are used a lot but the quality of the sheets were not good. The mattresses could have been better. They also were very old.
The location of the hotel is amazing if you are visiting Matlacha. Walked over the draw bridge at sunrise to see tarpon, snook, and dolphins.
Booked a waterfront room through Booking.com. The inn called and said they were sold out and they would have to move me to a non-waterview room. When I got there there was a vacancy sign and only two cars. The next morning I asked if they were sold out and the person said no. There were at least a 1/2 dozen water view rooms empty. They just wanted to penalize me for using booking. Don't stay here
Need a ice machine Have to drive off property to get icw for a drink. BAD BAD
Location Friendly lady receptionist
No kitchenette although on the booking form it said we should have one Room was size of closet, The Gulf view we were supposed to have could only be seen if you peered through the window to the right The bathroom door didn't fully open. The bedside light had to be plugged into the bathroom socket, which meant that you couldn't shut the bathroom door. The TV wouldn't work at first and when we got it working, we couldn't get rid of the subtitles. We were obviously given the worst room in the hotel, which they seem to reserve for people who book through online hotel searchers like booking.com It is room 5B
A dream come true. It is built above the Gulf of Mexico water and has only on one side entrance from land. Thre three sides are for mooring
The people we're all great. The fishing was great and the boat rental we got was a fantastic deal. I loved that we could take our dog "Sam" out with us where ever we went he was welcome to. Sitting on the deck was fun but I think a few umbrellas would help, the sun was very hot in the afternoon.
Not as clean as I would have liked, we found Hall's Cough Drops in wrappers under the living room table. This makes me wonder what else there may have been.
Bob and Dianne were very accommodating and had great ideas for what to do in Matlacha.
bed was not comfortable
Located over the water, great views
The staff was wonderful and made sure their guests were well attended to...a very quaint little cottage getaway. Just sit on the extended dock and cast a line to catch an array of saltwater fish. Everything one needs is within walking distance to all the artsy shops. Loved it and plan to go back.
Not being able to just move in and live there.
Staff was helpful, Bert's Grill is next door and the small shops in Matlacha were nice.
Lots of small things didn't work or work properly......lights, shower, toilet seat, yeah..broken seat. Expensive for what it is.
The hospitality from the innkeepers was amazing!. Scenery, atmosphere, all awesome! The room was absolutely adorable and super clean. The ability to fish from the dock was a lot of fun.
the construction on the bridge seemed to hamper the quality of the fishing a little, but not horribly.
