Bed was very uncomfortable, small double, so a tight fit for two people; and very worn - roll in middle, and squeaked at every turn.
Sofa bed was equally worn, with springs coming through.
Noise from outside - constant sirens and traffic: earplugs are a necessity.
Bathroom not that clean on arrival, long black hairs in the shower and on the floor.
We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment. It was of a very good size, open plan kitchen and living area, separate bedroom, large bathroom with both a bath and shower cubical, plus his and hers sinks. Massive walk in wardrobe, and plenty of cupboards and drawers. Kitchen was well equipped, dishwasher, full oven and hob, large American-style fridge/freezer. Cupboard housing washer and dryer was very handy.
Easy access to all main tourist areas. Helpful Concierge. No noise from other rooms, however lots of noise from outside - sirens mainly - despite being on 32nd floor.
Very easy to find - on arriving at O'Hare Airport, take the CTA Blue Line to Jackson, change to the Red Line to Grand, exit Grand at the SE exit, and the apartments are directly in front (next door the the Paloma Hotel). Don't get off at Grand Station on the blue line, it is miles away!
Two supermarkets less than a minutes walk away, the nearest one is opposite the apartments next door but one to Bed Bath and Beyond, called Jewel Osco Marketplace - its a large supermarket with everything you may need. More upmarket Trader Joes one block away. Overall, an ideal place for a Chicago trip.
