The apartment was very nice and the location was perfect. Close to everything.
The location was great, walking distance to the shopping area (both the magnificent mile and state st) and parks. many great restaurants all walking distance. with the marketplace few meters away and 711 right on the corner you can get all what you need.
The beds were very comfortable but the sirens going on all night (we were on the 24th floor), interrupted my sleep. My kids were ok with the noise, i guess i am a light sleeper.
The ambiance, I know, that's a pretentious word, however, the minute you walk in, it feels like home away from home. It is private, yet you are near everything. The free trolley to Navy Pier comes about every 20 minutes, and runs until about 10:30 weekdays, and 11:30 pm weekends. Great balcony for people that aren't ready to give up smoking, and don't want everyone knowing their business. We enjoyed every minute of it!
We thought that we were getting at least a queen sized be, and this was a full size. It worked out though. The TV's were a bit small, and the remote controls didn't want to work in either the living area or bedroom. There was no guide.Everything else was fantastic, and we would definitely stay there again!

liked it all
The apartment was amazing! Beautiful view of the city all the way to Lake Michigan. It was decorated nicely and had everything we needed. Although next time I stay I will spring for Housekeeping services as it would have been nice to have fresh towels and sheets halfway through our stay (it's not a hotel so it wasn't expected, but when I'm on vacation I like to be a little lazy and have someone else clean up after me). It is located in the same building as the Hotel Palomar, so it was almost like staying in a hotel; there was a bar/restaurant right downstairs and easy access for taxis and/or car service pick up and drop off as well as a great indoor pool and gym. There is a convenience store right across the street for snacks or anything you might have forgotten and there are tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Also close to Millennium and Grant Parks, close enough for a daytime walk or bike ride. I will definitely be staying here next time I'm in Chicago.
Location was great. Room was clean and had all one needed.
Staff was not helpful and in our case, we were left with a full bill after due to corcumstances out of our control, we had to cut our stay short. Although we understood that full payment would be kept, as no refunds were possible after check in, beware that if your stay is weeks long, and some emergency happens, they will keep EVERYTHiNG. Recommend doing back to back 3 day reservations in order to having the flexibility of cancellong mid-stay. They noted they would keep your whole money if you hypothetically checked in for a two month stay and on week 2 have to depart Chicago as a result of your project getting cancelled. These tens of thousands of dollars would not be refunded, which just blows my mind. They need to modify their archaic policy. Also, no managers are on site, so issues like above are never discussed with autgtorized people to make decisions. Instead, they have housekeepers deal with reservations. Overall, the worst hotel experience I have had in my life and the costliest mistake. If you can afford this place, you can afford a regular hotel nearby, which would have better staff and flexible cancellation polcies post check in.
The Location was great. We enjoyed the gym and the indoor swimming pool a lot
The apartment wasn't very clean. The kitchen was quite greasy
The residence is very well located, with good access to different neighborhoods of the city. The apartment is comfortable, very well equipped, very lightly. Staffs are very nice and efficient! It’s a very nice place to stay and to enjoy it
location amenities modern furnishings friendly staff secure building on-site parking in-room laundry views of lake michigan
very small television limited cable channels minimal cooking utensils limited bath towels
Washer/dryer, kitchen, location, helpful staff, they will price match better parking rates nearby
Sheets, furniture, could be cleaner, garage is difficult to drive in.
location is good and the apartment is clean and room is comfortable
Great room and much better option than a traditional hotel room. Felt that I saved money having my breakfast at home when I wanted to eat it.
Entrance was s little tight.
Location Apartment clean and modern Everything we needed
Close to town, very spacious, good view, excellent facilities
Nothing really :)
Great location, our room had a fantastic view and a deck, beds were comfortable, wi-fi was free and fast, room was spacious and had a washer/dryer. Friendly and helpful concierge.
No maid service. Dishes, utensils and glasses were put away dirty. There is a dishwasher, so pulled it all and ran a load. There are black out blinds, but still very bright from the gaps in between the windows.
Everything about State and Grand is phenomenal. The apartment is well furnished with beautiful views, the location is perfectly situated next to the best eateries and shopping and to the lake.
Although I prefer the home away from home experience, others may not enjoy that their isn't daily housekeeping or room service. Also, the items that are available in the kitchen to cook with are limited and may require you spending more at the store for food and utensils, etc.
A bit hard to find.... directions are clear you can find the address with the problem. But your eyes have to be open to see the glass door among the hotel next door

Not Very clean (kitchen counters and floors dirty, kitchen utensils seemed to be rinsed only..food particles on them) Mildew smell upon entrance to apartment Mold in shower Hall way bathroom bad Oder
Having to pay extra $25 or so everyday for parking.
The modern decor to give a comforting home sensation.
Parking is very limited and devoid of a privately owned lot.
Had difficulty getting extra towels and front desk person was not available to check us in on our arrival. Difficult to communicate with someone in charge.
Great location and ensuite amenities.
Beds a bit soft. Warmer blankets for 2 single beds would have been good.
An absolute fantastic apartment hotel with all facilities one would need and very centrally located. The apartments are located between the 18th and the 36th floor and not all of them have a private balcony. So make any specifications when booking. There is a big supermarket pretty much opposite and a Wholefoods supermarket only about 5 min away on foot. Also the main shopping streets are just a short walk away. The gym is fully equipped (even exercise balls and a bosu) and the swimming pool is nice, too, however, a little bit short for proper swimming.
Only missed a few minor things in the apartment such as a box of tissues, some washing up liquid/sponge and a bathrobe would have been quite useful.
The appartment was clean, comfortable and felt like a home instead of a hotel. I'll go back when i'm in Chicago again.
Garage access was difficult because they didn't have enough door openers.
Great place for two couples. It was in center of great restaurants and close to Mag Mile.
