Impruve keys. Too old and difficult to use.
Close to subway Clean
Expensive for what you get More like a hostel than a hotel Poor shower
Shower - very poor shower head, only a stream of water Bathroom - very warm & noisy aircondition No mirror in the room, just in bathroom and that was foggy No safe No breakfast Dodgy door lock
Near to the subway; Lots of shops near by; Good neiborhood.
I got a lot of street noise in my room.
Very nice lobby with a lot of extra features.
Great location, close to subway so easy access to most of the city. Very friendly staff Efficient cleaning staff Beds were comfy. A little shaky but that's okay.
Bathroom shower door was broken. Overall nothing bad
Wifi, air con, always a shared bathroom free
Being updated so a bit drab in places - should be better soon though! Nowhere to drop off and pick up outside hostel
Location is next to 103th subway that makes easier going to everywhere in Manhattan or outside. The WiFi signal inside rooms is awsome and hostel's staff and facilities are very nice.
Springs of the mattress are bad and bother a little bit.
Clean & comfy room & bed, w/sink & mirror. Breakfast area resembled a bed & breakfast - cozy w/books to read & TV. Neighborhood looked safe & lovely, with folks walking dogs, families with kids, etc.
Slow elevator, but at least it functioned. The two twin beds (for my h.s. daughter & me) weren't available at check-in but instead they gave us one queen bed and breakfast vouchers "for our trouble."
-clean bathrooms -comfortable beds -great location -transport (metro line 1 and bus M60
Good location - 5 min walk from subway, on our floor here was one bathroom per 3 rooms - quite enough, friendly staff
Air conditioner was buzzing out loud, hair on fresh linens. Small room, but that`s nyc.
Staff were friendly, rooms clean - although a little cramped and break fast good, but a bit packed. Popular with the younger crowd (20's - 30s). Close to some good restaurants and the metro.
Close to subway. Affordable. Friendly hostel-like atmosphere.
A bit old.
Great location, clean and comfortable rooms
Very expensive for what you get
WIFI reliable and reasonable quality, staff very helpful and friendly. Cool purple color scheme.
The bed was huge and the pillows are comfy.
The rugs felt gross under your feet. The cable is just Spanish channels. The bathroom tub was gross. At check in they asked if I had another form of identification because they don't sublet to New Yorkers? Even tho were here for one night
Staff were awesome, so friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms really clean. Services at hotel were great, as was the location. Will stay again. Thanks heaps guys!
nice and helpful staff, good location close to Central Park
windows can't be opened, if there's an ac in the room
Kind staffs:) Good location and Reasonable price:) No curfew:) Clean:)
Small cockroaches:( Some shower pressure wasn't powerful. Creaking beds:(
Safe neighborhood, close to the center and to the subway station. Perfect for touring the city.
Clean, tidy, we had wifi even in the room, helpful staff
Bit far from the city for the price but everything was more expensive closer to the city
I loved the fact that this hotel has so many people from all over the world. They were college students around their 20 ' s it was a fun experience getting to know them. Their beds are pretty comfy and their cleanliness is on point. I had a fun stay.
I didn't like the elevator. It was scary. If you're looking for an amazing place that has definite 5 star hotel appeal, this is not it. If you're willing to sacrifice some of your comfort for a really amazing multi cultural experience at a great price, come.
value for money location
The location is so accessible by either metro or by walking to all tourist spot and practically surrounded by variety of restaurants.
Overall I would rate this as a pretty good value for the 6 days I was there. It was in a good location, pretty clean, staff were friendly & helpful, maid came daily & supplied clean top sheet but only1 bath towel, easily accessible to everything. It's a very striped down and simple room with a shared bath set up. If you're looking for something very inexpensive in NYC, this will fit the bill and not bend your wallet. Bring all your own tolietres as none are supplied by the front desk. There was a common kitchen area with TV's and basic food storage. My roommate was visiting NYC from Korea and was very nice. We hardly saw each other as we had such varied schedules.
