- no wifi in the room
- free parking - price - nice place to have breakfast in the same building
I didn't like that you can hear everything going on in the next room. I had a family staying next door and could hear their constant arguing that went on till almost 3 in the morning. The floors creeks from upstairs every time they walked. Other than that it was great!
I liked that we got our pays worth. It's a nice hotel and good location. I like that they had a restaurant included with the hotel, I found it convenient for breakfast.
Price and location
A little out of the way Need a car
Quite surprised with this hotel More than we expected and very Courteous front desk man
For a 2star hotel , a bit in need of cosmetic the price is ridiculous but then again it is San Francisco.
The location . It is very clean. The view of a medieval church from our window was fantastic.
Wish there was and ice machine on each floor.
I liked the price, onsite diner, the friendly staff, and the ease to hail a cab on Van Ness & Broadway.
A little too expensive for what it is but Fair if you compare to other hotels in the area.... The room wasn't super clean...but again you're not expecting much from that kind of hotel
Location...good size room... Free wifi
Not my case but room could be noisy depending on your neighbors.
Stayed on first floor, room on Broadway street. Spacious room, free parking. 2 blocks from polk street. Food markets on walking distance. Feel safe in the area. Elevator was out of service. At first couldn't decide between hotels on lombard st., and this. Finally choosed this one. I´m happy with my decision.
It was a bit noisy
big comfortable bed clean and large room
The parking is really tight and scary at times but it works and you can usually count of getting a spot if you're traveling with a car.
We came down for a week from Utah. We felt that we got what we paid for. We were pleased with how cheap it was for the stay considering, and it was easy to get around. We used uber and our own vehicle to commute and both were fine.
The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, free parking, free wifi, beds are comfortable and the room has everything you need for a few days in San Francisco like fridge, hair dryer, TV, microwave, iron and ironing board. The hotel is not far from fishermans warf or other things to see and to do.
found used earplugs in the drawer. ancient elevator.
Old hotel but great location. Free parking was a plus but the space is limited.
crammed parking garage, bring your smart car and you'll be okay
low price compared to other hotels, good restaurant on site
Noise from upstairs guests. Very loud footsteps, waking me up often.
Excellent location, close to everything
The wifi was very slow, hardly any connection but since we were there for fun we really did not mind. When you would walk into the room it will be very hot/humid however easily fixed with turning the AC on. During the night if your neighbors are constantly going in and out you can hear the doors open and shut . Parking was available but it was all tight. and if you wanted to get a good spot you might want to be there early because if not you wold need to park behind a car and maybe movie it later if that person needs to leave(we got lucky with good spots) but any parking is better than having to go look for one.
Well arriving and checking in was a breeze. The beds were comfortable and clean and so was the restroom. We got a non smoking room and it was smoke free not a scent of cigarette was smelled. Had a microwave and mini fridge to store our drinks and midnight snacks. location made all the places we needed to get to very easy(we drove) we went to the Walt Disney Museum(11min away from car), Pier 33( was like 11min away in car), golden gate bridge(not far either), and getting back wasn't difficult. They are bars a block a way(walking distance) and a Starbucks and Walgreens. They had parking available(free).
Everything was great.
I liked that the trolley was close by to take to the pier also passed by Lombard st. Can't beat free parking. Did not drive anywhere once we checked in.
When we arrived we saw a messy laundry at the front of the premises. It made us easy to accept Jose proposal to take other hotel.
When we arrived Jose told us that they have a room with two queen beds for us, and suggest us to go a block further to KnobHill Motor Inn where a room with a king bed size still available, with a continental breakfast at the same price with Inn Broadway. We decided to do so and we love the place. So, we appreciate very much the effort of Jose to fulfill our need by referring us to a nearby hotel.
Despite the advertisement of free Wi fi we could not get it in our room. We were too far away from the router. I ended up standing in reception whilst checking all was well at home....not ideal.
Decent price paid for a decent room
The fact that a few things need remodeling.
Love that everything was not that far.
when I arrived I was given a diferent room from what I reserved, I was told that it was already booked and that I was going to be transferred to another room, they offered the room I booked for the next morning and I declined, they did not respect my reservation in the first place so I ended up finding another place to stay for the weekend
Needs millions worth of upgrades, but then for so little money, you get what you pay for. Wifi never worked for me.
Location, was awesome for sightseeing in SF
Had to leave.
Tub shower had sliding glass doors! No slimy plastic trying to stick to you! Great water pressure. Microwave and refrigerator Convenient location on Van Ness and broadway and parking. Very cordial and knowledgable staff. Coffee shop on site Nice, clean private Hot tub and and sauna place directly across the street. 2 drug stores only 1 block away.
The housekeeper don't clean and put the garbage in the trash. The wi-fi never work and when it do was ver slowly (in alcatraz island the wifi works better)
The location of the hostel, you can go to many places walking. The rooms are very clean and confortable.
what made me very upset was both keys for the room stopped working the next day. No it wasn't anywhere near other cards or my phone. It was upsetting to go down 3 levels just to get it fixed. Another thing was the elevator, it wouldn't come up so we used the stairs carrying 4 loads of heavy luggage. I got 2 different prices for my stay. One when I got there I had no choice but to sign it since I had no other reservations for elsewhere. The price was $60 more than I thought. As I was leaving the price was different it was less. Of course that's how much the hotel deducted. Overall I wouldn't be going back to the same hotel for my next trip.
I liked the room itself.
