Both price and location were right. Don't let the lack of "curb appeal" at the street entrance and the gloomy, little, no-ambiance lobby put you off. The room was a spacious and adequately appointed bedroom with bathroom that was amazingly quiet considering it fronted only two floors up over Broadway. No "curb appeal". Its narrow single-door entrance tucked between two rather seedy-looking shops made an off-putting first impression, and the dark-marbled, no-frills, small lobby did nothing to enhance that first impression. However, once in the room, it was a pleasant and comforting surprise to find a spacious and adequately appointed bedroom and bathroom that was amazingly quiet considering it fronted only two floors up overlooking Broadway.

Broadway Plaza Hotel is easily accessible by subway. The staff was very friendly, accomodating and helpful. We got upgraded to a beautiful junior suite, much to my kids' and my own delight. The suite was super spacious and comfortable. The room was very clean and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay there and definitely would recommend this Hotel!

The hotel was centrally located and close to the subway. The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. The cleaning staff were also very courteous. The breakfast room was rather small.

We stayed in the superior 2 full beds suite and the room was very big, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom roomy and clean. The parking lot was a block away, which makes for some difficulty with luggage. The hotel entrance is alittle hidden but not difficult to find on foot from the parking garage.

We had a huge room by New York standards with the most amazing view of the Empire State Building. The bathroom was impeccable. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. I have already recommended this hotel and a friend from Naples, fl has already made a reservation. This has to be one of the best value hotels in the whole of nyc. Loved its proximity to the Flower District. Not many places to eat around this area.

It exceeded my expectations in every way - - location, value, quietness, friendliness, etc. I have already recommended it to family and friends. The lounge for the continental breakfast is way too small. I tend to eat cereal, fruit, yoghurt, and tea w/ milk for breakfast, not pastries. I wound up taking fresh fruit with me back to my room. I didn't see any real milk so I skipped the tea.

All the staff where very nice. They upgrated for free to a suite and it was huge which we actually needed as we were four with a lot of bags! The concierge arranged all our luggage and taxi to the airport. Highly recommended!! Although the breakfast room was very small we could sat without queeing. The breakfast was enought. I would put cereals on the menu!

The location, the price offer (we paid on average 130 dollar per night for a two-queensized beds room), the size of the room and its cleanliness, and the coffee in the breakfast room were all good. The heating was on too strong in relation to the outside temperature (an unseasonable 65 f or 18 c end november, which could only be corrected by the loud aircon, leaving very dry air). The breakfast is limited (but if you like coffee, orange juice and a pastry it is fine). The neighborhood is fine, but I would recommend avoiding broadway between the hotel and 34 street, as it can feel rather gritty/downtrodden. All other ways to walk to the hotel are nice.

The price was fair to begin with but the hotel was overbooked so we were upgraded to a very large room. If these prices are typical, I will consistently stay here and recommend to all friends. The decor needs to be updated desperately! The neighborhood is dramatically improving and the hotel could command significantly higher prices if the interior design was better. I'd be happy to do the job at a discount if anyone is interested (i'm a designer/dealer who lives in the neighborhood).
