Good bed, location, great gym and pool area. Renovations meant no lobby, no bar, dust and noise. Terrace not open even tho weather was perfect. No apologies, warnings or discounts. Room was tiniest ever, not sound proof so heard everybody in hallway and other rooms.

Perfectly located in the hip district of Williamsburg full of great places to go out, dine and wine. We were in ny in March when it was still pretty cold, but having been there last summer, the streets are living their joyful life in warmer months. The hotel had all the main amenities, is new and clean, quite close to the metro station. Breakfast had a small but quite good choice with plenty of fruit. The only thing that was a bit strange was the fact that you had to ask for certain things. For instance to get yogurt on your muesli and a bowl you had to ask staff who served you some spoonfuls of yogurt then behind the bar. Not sure why, maybe it helped to keep the small space clean. The only truly annoying thing was the clim which you cannot switch off and that keeps on making noise during the night. No problem after sufficiently long walks in nyc though :)

Room was nicely decorated. Staff did not know of our reservation when we called ahead to see if the room would be ready early. Online reservation said room would be ready after 3pm, but staff said it would be ready by 4 pm, which was a problem. They were unaware of what the online form said. Staff said they had no confirmation of our order, but we had the confirmation in our hands. Staff did not recognize the booking number we were given online. Air conditioning was not working and the room was very hot, but when it finally went on (during the night) it was very cold. The thermostat setting was not met or kept. Water for shower seeped on the bathroom floor, which then became very slippery. Toilet paper holder fell off the wall because it was not screwed on tightly. For all this, price was ridiculous, especially seeing the construction over the lobby railing as a "view" for breakfast. What a treat!

The room was very nice The location was perfect The tv on demand system was good The front desk was helpful The breakfast was bad. It had some sweat buns, it would have been better if they would just have offered som bagels and cream cheese that you could prepare yourself. And coffee to that. It is something fishy with the roof top bar, they claim it is on renovation, but if you read on Tripadvisor you can see that it has been on renovation for the last three years. They should not write that there is a roof top bar, it is false markenting. They have probably sold it to someone, you can't really see any renovation going on.

Pretty much everything, comfortable room, nice pastries in the morning, extremely nice staff. Could have used some more space for our clothes - and for toilet items. One tiny issue: we got only one soap bar/shampoo for the first 5 days.

Very nice location. Quick to respond to request such as ice and and iron. Check was at 3pm but my room was not ready until 5pm. I just waited at the lobby for 2hrs and that's just not acceptable. I wasnt offered anything to make my wait pleasant. I tend to think they were having a bad day so ill try it one more time.

A nice place! Perfect location. Lovely design of room - friendly, helpful. A wonderful tech person who responded instantly and fixed us up with phone chargers and information. The lobby was freezing! But it was a very cold weekend.

The friendly staff and the location near my family. The staff insisted courteously that my wife verify the change in plans as I didn't think I would be with her on the trip and I checked in alone as she was still visiting my family. Thus their security was alert to the change and made sure that it was a valid request to her.

location, but only because a family member was close by. It was clean and comfortable and with a nice design. Rooms were noisy, especially the plumbing, and no cupboard place. Too expensive for the area.

Clean and friendly. Great location. Good breakfast No coffee making facilities in room. Very restricted cupboard space (particularly hanging space). Our room (208) had very noisy pipes above the shower room throughout the day and night! I would recommend taking a room overlooking the park rather than the pool.

The staff was friendly and helpfull. Very good location near bars and subway. The room was quite small and wery strange aranged, you have almost not any place to put your bags. The AC fan was quite noicy. The floor in the shower leans away so the water keeps pouring out in the hall and bathroom floor. The buttons to the lamps are anoying, it takes like 10 pusches to turn them on or off. All the mirrors are placed with an anoying spotlight above that makes you look like a ghost. My overall impression is that the hotell is trying to be luxurus but that they must have been i a big hurry when planing and building it.

Very convenient location. Very pleasant room and great staff. Excellent comfortable bed. VERY odd smell in the bathroom - I thought it was mold, but I think it was the cleanser that it used. Actually hard to be in the bathroom. Electrical outlets went kaput. Fire alarm went off, prolonged, and when we called the front desk were given no explanation other than "oh, it just went off". Strange; unnecessary stress. NEVERTHELESS, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone, any of the problems could, I think be addressed fairly easily.

Great location or exploring fashionable Brooklyn, and just a few subway stops from Manhattan. Bedford Avenue is packed with bars, cafes and restaurants. Hotel staff were great and happy to give advice on local places to eat out. Rooms are stylish, light and with smart bathrooms. Generally a great place, although rooms could be bigger. The bar seemed to lack atmosphere, not much of an in-hotel 'scene'.

The staff was excellent. We were scheduled to stay the weekend after Hurricane Sandy hit New York. When we called to ask if they were open, they assured us they were open and fully staffed. When I asked what they would do if our flight was canceled (we had pre-paid), they indicated that they were making adjustments because they didn't want anyone to be further hurt by the storm. The clerk then gave me her name and said to ask for her if there was anything else they could do and wished us safe travel. She was just classy. We did make it in...the staff was wonderful throughout the stay. The restaurant was open for breakfast...and it was yummy. We will definitely stay there again. Great location in Williamsburg, near wonderful restaurants and shopping. The bathroom is small; counter is non-existent...so finding a place for toiletries and curling irons, etc. was a bit of a challenge while they were in use. We managed; but it was tight. Not enough of a problem that we wouldn't return, however.

we stayed at the hotel during hurricane Sandy. We were safe, no inondations, power outages, etc. We were abe to eat meals at the hotel and stayed an extra day at the rate I had received the previous days through booking.com. The staff was very adaptive and helped us out. The hotel Is conveniently located near restaurants and shops, and we were able to walk over the Williamsburg bridge to Manhattan after the storm, when transportation was down. closet was way too small and we had to live out of suitcases. refrig was full of hotel goodies and no room to put any food leftovers from our dinner.

Clean, new hotel. Friendly and helpful front desk Walls thin. Could hear shower going in nearby room at 1am. Lighting in room VERY poor. Also 2 high teck consoles with alarm clocks in the room went off at 6am and I had to stumble around to get to them and switch off. Staff should check alarms are not set to go off after guests check out

Great location in Williamsburg, only a few blocks away from all the bars etc, but close enough to walk. The comfiest bed I have stayed in for a while. If anything I was a little annoyed the roof top bar wasn't open due to renovation. Nothing was mentioned about this when booking nor on the King and Grove website, it was a shame as we wouldn't have minded using it before/after we went out. That is the only thing though.

Staff were consistently friendly and happy to help. They took our bags everywhere unprompted! Any minor quibbles were dealt with promptly and without fuss, and they were happy to give help with directions and advice. Breakfast (not included in price) was available in a restaurant on site, which was excellent. Waiting staff there were lovely too, and the ricotta pancakes are a must!!! The location is great. Its in a nice area of Brooklyn with lots of ace bars/restaurants/bowling(!)/shops. Theres a good underground connection elsewhere. Rooftop bar was closed for refurbishment - we were not made aware of this. Pool was also closed due to the season (autumn) - its not really clear if its heated or not. Our TV broke one evening - but this isnt really a "dislike" as staff fixed it quickly the next day when informed. And there's too much to do to watch to much TV! Price was fair and comparable to other hotels - it doesnt seem like there are any bargains to be found in NY.

Staff was super friendly and responsive. Rooms was generally pretty quiet. Ordered one room service meal which was surprisingly mediocre, given how good everything else was. Over-salted pork sliders and fries which were, literally, cold and hard. After that, I didn't bother ordering any more room service food and opted to eat out of the hotel.
