listed as a 4 bedroom and only has 3 bedrooms smoke detectors went off at 2am and we had to evacuate the house with little children and were not offered any type of refund. (we did call the emergency number while on the road at 3am to let them know. so we thought a refund should have been offered since we had to wake up 6 very little kids and adults to leave while a screeching alarm was going off) basement was FREEZING. we had to get 3 extra heaters to keep it slightly warm
location to polar express layout of cabin items provided cabin was modern and up to date
The Farmhouse was very cold when we arrived and did not get comfortable till the next day. We could have used some blankets on the beds. The website should have alerted us about the building was heated. We were afraid our 19 month old grandchild would fall and get burned.
We really liked the location and the Farmhouse.
The beds were awful and there was dog hair all over the rugs. The toilet had not been cleaned . When we went to use the guest laundry the machines were full of another cabins bedding that apparently had not been completed for another cabin. The charm of the farmhouse was nice - but it needed a good cleaning. When you have pine straw hanging from a hole out of the ceiling and some cobwebs around - and dog hair everywhere someone is not doing there job.
We liked the location of the cabin.
Kitchen poorly supplied. Bedding old and blankets nonexistent.
Cozy cabin. Loved being so close to woods, creek, and hiking trails.
Beds weren't comfortable. Need updating..
Loved the remote location and the whole experience of having a private location in the mountains..leaves were changing too
Everything was great
Location, cabin itself, lots to do
Privacy, cleanliness, awareness that the actual absent owner loves their property...and takes care of it accordingly. This would definitely be our first choice if we were to make a return trip to the area. And with the Cork and Bean for dining and enjoying a glass of wine or (good) beer, you have the whole package!
The floors were dirty and extremely warped in places (Maggie's Cabin). There were gaps around the doors so we ended up with lots of bugs. There was mold in the bathroom, and closet of lower bedroom.
Scenic setting, ambiance. Location to various attractions. Lodging
Very old place, warped floors! creaking floors. The whole structures felt unsafe! out dated furniture's and appliance's! old bed that were very uncomfortable, one OLD AC unit in kitchen. Old pots and pans! No mesh on one bedroom windows to open for cool air. a lot of mosquitos on the outside. wasp nest and spider webs on the outside. very dirty rugs in the living room. Old house smell!
Beautiful view on the outside and creek was very nice.
Pans were really used and spent a great deal to get clean and still didn't succeed. The hot tube was not hot and could figure out how to get above 83 degrees.
Great place off the beaten path with a scenic view of the outdoors. Farm house was decorated perfectly.
That I had to leave and come home.....
Almost everything. It was a pleasure to visit this area again...
Having returned from our recent visit from one of the rental cabins (Karolina Kabin Oct 18-20), I must say that we were very disappointed that we had to endure nearly a day without running water during our visit (from 5am Sat. To 2pm Sat). Most would agree that being without water makes it difficult to take a shower, flush the toilet and if we had not had bottled water, we could not even brush our teeth. We called the “maintenance” phone number given in the multiple emails we received prior to our visit without any response. Not being able to bathe or even wash up, we could not go out and experience the attractions we intended to visit Saturday till half the day was gone waiting for relief. Someone did come to the door later in the day (about 10:30am) and said they were working on it and that sometimes this happens! I don’t think it will happen to us again; not at this cabin. The customer service was extremely good on the front end of our visit. I guess once the bill is paid, that ends. Thanks again for your concern and post visit service.
Everything but the water problem
Burn holes in carpet and slit in sofa when we got there. Did not want to get blamed for these
