Location was excellent. Near to public transport and a walkable distance from downtown. Good size room which, although dated, was perfectly adequate and gave us plenty of space. Plenty of plug sockets also.
I liked the Buckminsters location. If I was in town for a Redsox game it would be the place to stay. Close to T stop and easy to get around Boston. Restaurant in hotel was very good. I would stay again, and recommend it to friends.
Very clean, small, charming and well located. I was also able to get a good rate. Upon arrival, when they couldn't provide the requested accommodations, I was bumped up to a spacious suite. Very nice.
Good price and facilities particularly the on site restaurant having evening meal offers and also receiving the $10 breakfast voucher each made us use this rather than going out although there were decent restaurants nearby. Also hotel is within 50 metres of the subway stop straight into Boston. Journey takes about 20 mins and is easy if you get a Charlie Card. We stayed 3 nights and bought a 7 day pass for $19 each well worth doing particularly if you fly into and out of Logan airport.
Nothing particularly although the rooms are a bit small and rather dated but then it is an old hotel.
The only comment is that re-sealing all windows will disconnect better the room from the outside (traffic) noise
Bed was comfortable. Breakfast at Fenway bar / restaurant below was good, a lot of options. Location immediately near Fenway Park baseball arena. Close to downtown, but not immediately near.
The WiFi was very poor, we could not properly work during our stay. The hotel furniture is all worn out, everything is old, the elevator and common area also (I haven't seen such an old tv for ages). No gym facility, although advertised.
Close to transport stations. Staff very helpful. Great comfy beds. Good modern bathroom and shower. Safe facility in room.
Bar closed early before 11.00 pm even for residents. No coffee or tea making facility in the rooms although a microwave and fridge are provided. Early part of the week local bars to hotel close early. Bar does not serve spirits. Info about local restaurants and bars and city tour info was not provided in rooms.

The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a pretty good location, right next to Fenway and a block from the trains.
Room was very small, and the bathroom tiny. There was no coffee maker in the room, and when I asked why, I was told "because the restaurant serves coffee". Every hotel restaurant serves coffee, but there are ALSO coffee makers in the rooms. (CHEAP!). I had a very difficult time sleeping due to the rigid, lumpy foam rubber pillows. (Again, cheap.) The alarm clock was across the room from the bed. (Wait...WHAT??) The TV was at least 15 years old and just 19 or 20". I didn't care so much about that, but it demonstrated the very apparent low-budget mentality of this hotel's owners.

Pillows and bedding were the best! Loved the convenience of the fridge too.
Shower pressure was poor and no shelf or any area near the sink for toiletries.
Comfortable bed and friendly staff
It's got charm! The staff was polite, restaurant was good - costly, but good. The rooms are quaint. It was clean and the cleaning staff was great. The beds were comfortable. I slept well but the local noise kept my husband up a bit. It's conveniently located to walk, or take the T to inner Boston. The airport, aquarium, North Boston etc is all about a $20 cab ride away. (if you don't walk or take the T)
The elevator is tiny - and I'm a little claustrophobic, but the stairs work just fine. It's an old building, so it has old building quirks. As long as you're ok with that - it's fine!!
It is an old building, after all your in Boston. Don't expect the newest and freshest of everything. Our room had a covered fireplace and the building was kept up very well. Also my room had windows that opened!
Cost was good, staff addressed issues with 1st room and relocated us.
1st room smelled like smoke, 2nd room had super small old style TV, a couch that the arm was falling off, and extension cords all over. Elevator felt like we were going to get stuck on it. Some of the staff members not friendly. Parking next door and had to lug suitcases by hand over to and upstairs to lobby. No help from staff.
two rooms in the twin room/suit food was very good - had an evening meal only there one night so not able to make other comments staff we met were pleasant and helpful further comments
