Bed and pillows Great location.
Poor facilities and old furniture and television.just not meeting the expectations of our needs for what we paid.
The Hotel Buckminster is a short walk from Newbury, Landsedown and Boylston, and all their shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room and view were amazing.
No real complaints to speak of.
Lovely renovated suite
Complimentary room upgrade upon arrival bed comfort friendly accommodating staff comfort and ease
Location was perfect next to Fenway Park. Subway across the street - easy to use and inexpensive. Rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. Great value for your money! I'd definetly stay again!
Only thought that comes to mind was there were no utensils, plates, or cups in the kitchen. Other than that - perfect!
located at Kenmore sq., so best starting point for everything related to Boston University (conferences), to MFA, Gardner Museum, and, of course, 200 meters from Fenway Park stadium
Hotels in Boston are incredibly expensive, but the prices should correspondend to what you get. In that respect, the hotel is too expensive. Safe was far too small and did not work (batteries empty), so I had to carry all my electronic devices all day long
Spacious rooms, quiet. Clean.
Older rooms. Layout of room was a little odd
staff comfortable room
price no shelf near basin No ECO approach to not renewing laundry each day
Good location close to train line. Helpful staff. Close to several cafes and restaurants.
Nothing to dislike.
I was upgraded to a premium king suite which has happened a lot using this booking site. The two rooms were very spacious and comfortable, with a full kitchen and side by side frig. Even with the room overlooking Commonwealth avenue the room was surprisingly quite.
I was provided with the most comfortable room. It overlooked Fenway Park the home of The Boston Red Sox baseball team. Subway train station (The T ) was just outside the hotel. The location was great.
The Sox did not have a game at Fenway whilst I was there. No free view of the game.Shame.
This hotel is very well located with easy connections to everywhere.
Rooms are very noisy because of the old fridges in the rooms, and even more if the rooms are adjacent to the main road.
Location near Fenway and Boston university
Noise from outside
Location not bad...easy access to metro....within reasonable walking distance to sights and shopping. Trolley pickup nearby at Fenway. Good value for breakfast at hotel restaurant. Maintenance staff friendly and helpful when fridge died. Reception staff also helpful and friendly.
Hotel is very old and tired. Next to major highway so road noise when windows open. Dining staff notnso friendly. Overheard staff dishing others work....not very professional.
The position of the hotel is quite good to visit the city and to reach the most important areas. The staff at the reception was very kind and professional. Check-in and check-out perfect! and in a few minutes
The bathroom was quite old and it requires some updating! Some wall sockets did not work. Like in other hotels in Boston, I think that the price of the room is too high in comparison to the quality of the room. But probably this is the standard in Boston (I used three different hotels)!
Good location, staff, big rooms. Attached restaurant very good
Location! Fenway Park, House of Blues, Restaurants. Would stay here again just for the location.
Over priced for being outdated. Room pictures/description did not match actual room. Booking.com had to argue with hotel management to get the accomodations we paid for. Hotel manager was annoyed when he called me to follow up.
Great location, close to MBTA Fenway and restaurants
Excelled business center. Cordiality of staff.
The room was noisy, the blinds were not sufficient, there was not very hot water one morning and none the next morning. I have stayed in other rooms in this hotel and have had no such issues. However this room was among the recently renovated ones so I was doubly surprised.
No air-conditioner or airflow. When I called down to the front desk about the air conditioner not working, the attendant at the front desk was short with me and rude. We are easy going people and the attitude was unwarranted. A maintenance man came to the room and was very nice. He provided us a box fan. The hotel charged us $35.00 a day for parking. Cost was to high for what was provided.
the location and price were the only things
very dated old hotel. No ramp into entrance and no bell boy so you had to drag your luggage up a flight of stairs. In need of updating. Very small bathroom.
I liked the location...close to Fenway Park, restaurant and bars and the subway station. I also liked the value for the price. I thought the room was clean and while a bit small and outdated (ie the closets) I thought the important things had been taken care of. Loved the closet space for our suitcases. Loved the easy Wifi access. Loved the $10 discount card for breakfast. Very nice staff and welcoming front desk!
The pillows were a bit hard
This hotel is beautiful and staff is very friendly and accommodating...
The only thing I did not like was that you have to pay for parking
The room was clean and well maintained, and the staff was very professional and courteous. The hotel is right by Kenmore, which makes getting around Boston using the T very easy. I highly recommend this place.
The limited internet: you only got about 90 minutes free per day, and then you would have to pay. I think internet should be provided for free, without time limits.
The kitchen staff, restaurant and the lobby was comfortable.
Being accused twice in one night of smoke coming from my room! After a hot bath, just before crawling into bed, a booming, long pounding on my door with a man yelling there was a complaint of smoke coming from my room. I am a non smoker. Then as a drifted to sleep the front desk once again scared me by calling to once again report smoke coming from my room. I was sleeping. The location of my room, or delusion on the part of your staff is all I can attribute to such bizarre, aggressive, and argumentative, behavior to a guest! I will never stay, nor recommend your "Hotel" to anyone. Your front desk is among the worst I have ever had the misfortune to meet. I travel extensively.
