Poor Wifi. Rude staff. Poor breakfast. Just a coffee. I didn't feel safe there.Door were open with key not card. Filthy towels. Filthy blankets. Balcony was not clean. I couldn't use it. You could easily hear your next door voice.
It was in walking distance of the Boardwalk and Wharf.
The room was filthy dirty and we say the maid just get done cleaning too. The carpet was sticky, brown stains on the sheets and pillow cases, towels had black mold, yes, MOLD, and the room had a foul odor. A HAZMAT suit is highly recommended.
It was quiet, the shower was big, had good water pressure and lots of hot water.
office staff was rude, nonsmoking room reeked of smoke, room was very shabby, motel had a general run down look and bums dug through the garbage outside our door at night. Not going back.
Spacious . Good separation of bathroom from Sleeping space .
Close to downtown
Old room. Unfriendly staff
Nice little guy at the front desk, we were only stopping through on our route 1 driving trip. Good size bed - clean, okay bathroom - clean. Felt safe. If you are going on holiday to stay in hotels and not see the area... Then this place isn't for you. Its a place to sleep and it did that very well.
WiFi was teasing us saying it was working, but that seemed the same everywhere we went in America.
Very poor quality after 10 min checking out the room we went to the office & said to the desk clerk that the room did not appear like what was on the web site & that we were very disappointed. The clerk said alright I will give you a refund which he did.
Good location, walking distance to beach
A little basic, but again not bad for the money
The position is convenient and the parking is free and plenty.
The general feel is a bit dodgy.
I woke up to visible bed bugs in my bed and multiple collections of painful and itchy bites all over my body. I alerted reception of the infestation and showed them photos that I had just taken of the blood smears and bugs in my bed.
no travel soap or shampoo available
Our experience was great. Close to the beach.
It was not far from the boardwalk, still a trek for an older person or toddler. The had a "kitchen" neither fridge worked and no stove
The floor was so nasty! It was sticky and my kids feet were black. I made them keep their sandals on. The finishes were very worn. Not clean!! Even the towels were dirty an our room smelled like cury. ( right over the office)
The only redeeming quality was the location close to the beach.
The room was in a state of decay and dirty. Hairs on the pillows. Remote for the television didn't work. Comforter was disgusting. It, like the carpets, furniture and fixtures looked like they were 20 years old. For the price you were paying for the location and that was it. The room was horrifying.
How close it was to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
They charged my card before I even got there, which is illegal. The room smelled, floor was dirty, staff was unfriendly. Definitely not worth the money and won't be staying again..
The smelly room and the dirty/gross carpet.
bathroom was remodeled - didn't try shower
very smelly organic odors throughout entire unit, rug crinkled, stained, filthy, large iron burn on carpet, no nightstands for bed, very noisy from road, curtains with paint (white stains), poor lighting, dirt and papers on floor
Staff and location
Room quality and cleanliness. Lack of parking for paying guests.
Location was good as well as the price. It was nice to have a bigger than average fridge in a hotel as well as a mini kitchen. Nicely updated bathroom as well.
Bathroom smelled like mildew! Shower's recently remodeled for wheel chair access and is very nice, but the water doesn't drain very well, and the shower curtain is too long. So, it's always wet, thus building up yucky mold and mildew. I traveled with my two teen daughters who use multiple towels when showering. The housekeeper was reluctant to give us new towels without relinquishing dirty towels. So, we were only allowed a total of 4 towels at a time. Something to do with cameras and issues with giving out too many towels.
Close to downtown
Way overpriced. Dirty looking property (as in parking lot). Room was OK but nothing special at all for so much money
Price Paid extra for a room with a kitchenette, however there are NO bowls, plates, cups, utensils, pots or pans! So that was useless. The new carpet was merely just nailed down on top of the old carpet and done poorly so there were places where it was bubbling up. The male front office worker seemed like he barely understood English and was not very accommodating. They have a giant wall in their front office dedicated to telling you how they offer no refunds, making sure you know that they have trapped you in and have your money. The neighbourhood seems a bit sketchy and is certainly one you don't want to walk around in at night. The shower, while remodeled and looks nice, yet leaks water all over the floor when you use it.
The location was great. The Bathroom, shower and kitchen area were clean. The short walk to beach and boardwalk made it worth it.
The carpet was dirty and worn, but we just left our shoes on till we went to bed. The price didn't match the quality of room.
Very nice updated tile shower and bath.
The room didn't have, or have room for a table and chair, barely room for the bed and stands. No place to hang clothes, no ice bucket or even plastic glasses, carpet dirty and bubbling up, staff was not friendly, one word answers, sorry, this one is BaaaaaaD.
That I could leave in the morning.
We were shocked. The one and only table in the room was about ready to fall apart. We couldn't use it. We didn't take showers it was so dirty. There were cigarette butts in front of our door. My husband needed electricity for equipment he needed during the night and the electricity kept going out all through the night. We beds..we pulled back all of the covers to make sure there were no bed bugs. No parking for our car. No hair dryer. Old falling apart furniture. Awful, dirty and tired. Not worth the $257.00 ..
