wi fi was good and available 24/7
manager needs to be more friendly and accommodating.
The man at reception was friendly and helpful. We chose this motel because it is a short distance from sky harbour airport and this was ideal for our early flight. The room was clean and comfortable and well furnished. Despite being in the downtown area, there was no disturbing traffic noise and we slept well on a comfortable bed.
There were no family restaurants nearby, only a McDonalds 1/4mile away. We drove to a JB s restaurant 7 miles away. The continental breakfast was minimal but adequate for us.
I arrived at the hotel at approximately 10:30 and as I suspected it was to early to check in. The man (I assume the owner) told me to come back at 1:30 and my room would be ready. I had been on the road for a while so I asked him if I could use the restroom and he let me go into one of the rooms (definitely appreciated). When I returned after 1:30, my room was ready as promised. The man was very polite during check in and check in went smooth. However, I did not like having to walk back outside to get my vehicle license plate #. Room was clean and bed was comfortable enough for the $ I paid. A/C also worked great. Parking was convenient and the hotel is well located.
When I was leaving, I tried to ask the lady at the front desk (I assume also the owner) some questions and she did not give me the time of day. In fact, she just answered no to my first question with her back turned to me and walked away. Extremely rude in my book! It seemed to me like she was busy doing laundry, but I was still a customer and she provided no customer service whatsoever.
Never once were we woken up during the night due to noise (considering there was a fire station directly across the street). Price was great for downtown Phoenix. The continental breakfast was also good. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean
The fact that coffee was not available until 7:00 - most of my engagements started at 7:30 so I was up at 5:30 each morning. That would be my only complaint.
unkindly and disobliging staff
The location is extremely convenient just next to downtown Phoenix, walking distance (5 mins). However moving by car is another good option as downtown is plenty with parking lots and traffic is never dramatic. Wifi connection was very stable and fast even in the remotest rooms as ours was. Cleaning was perfect.
Not a 24h reception (access code is provided after 9.30 pm), however nothing to really complain.
Clean, renovated and convenient. Staff friendly and helpful. Within a minutes to the heart of downtown.
I should mention that I don't spend much time in my room except to wind down and watch TV after working the day, so I don't require much in the way of "amenities" and thus was very satisfied with this basic hotel. I spent nearly a week here. My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was just coffee, an apple or banana, and perhaps some yogurt, but you're not far from many places to eat, the hotel is located just five blocks from the downtown area, and everything is easily accessible. The proprietor was very friendly and tries to keep the place neat & comfortable. As one reviewer before me said, for one-third the price we had as comfortable a stay as our colleagues who booked downtown. Highly recommend!
Unnecessarily stern looks from the female co-proprietor upon slightly later-than-requested check-out (on the day after convention with plenty of available rooms) threatened to end our stay on a sour note.
Great location to city, clean and quiet
the continental breakfast arrangements.
Pretty much everything. Unspeakably grim. Smells bad. Not worth $40, let alone $70.
It is right in the centre of Phoenix
- Location!!!! - price - very nice rooms - free parking - rooms well-equipped - fast check-in
- Redecorations going on - poor breakfast (forget about that)
Fine downtown location, good parking, helpful staff.
It was a good value for the money.
It was located a couple of blocks from a bad neighborhood
Not too close to an eatery.
Close to the convention center, light rail train, buses. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.
We were warned by the cab driver that the area isn't safe at all. However, we never saw a sign that this was true. On the other hand, the receptionist said that the area was very safe.
Easy walk to downtown
Noise from road and other guests outside the window
I loved how the bathroom light came on slowly so I wasn't blasted in the middle of the night. There was a balcony for each room and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty simple but healthier than some other inexpensive hotels I've stayed at. If you expect a full breakfast you should also expect to pay more for a room. There were some good breakfast places we walked to on our way to the convention center. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Clean , quiet, safe, great location for downtown convention or ballgames.
Exterior could use a brightening up to be more attractive for guests and prospective guests.
Friendly staff who are as accommodating as the can be. Good cheap room for a quick stay, nothing fancy at all. Coffee in the morning.
Damp smell in the hallways. Room surfaces could use an upgrade.
10 minutes walking from PAA. Cheaper than the hotels near PAA.
Very clean, updated inside.
You can't judge by outside. Many people do not feel comfortable with what appears to be easy access to front door.
It was very close to downtown Phoenix
Its very close to the main road so there is quite a lot of road noise. The rooms were tired and basic. And the breakfast was not that great just Coffee and a limited selection of Pastries that you could take to your room.
This is the best two-star hotel I've ever stayed in. It was exceptionally clean, neat and comfortable. The proprietor was very helpful and friendly. The property was just five blocks from the downtown area and a five-minute walk from the light-rail station. For one-third the price, we had as comfortable a stay as our colleagues who booked downtown. Highly recommend.
