When we arrived, we thought the place was rather bare bones, but over the course of our stay, found that the room & the lobby had every amenity that you needed. The continental breakfast was quite satisfying. Cable & WiFi worked great. Everything was low key, accessible & on the honor system, making you feel very much at home. Many good restaurants down by marina & in neighboring towns.
I was disappointed that there was no view of the lake from the lodge seeing as it is way on top of a hill. For some reason, I had thought it was on the water.
Beauty of the location. Quiet rooms, convenience to downtown Lake Sunapee
Shower and bathroom badly needs updated. Reminded me of 50 year old motel bathroom.
smell snoring of guy in next room area completely devoid of things to do old style tv shower so small you can't reach your feet
Clean rooms. Nice furnishings Absolutely gorgeous view!
No air conditioning, our stay was cool weather other than one night and even though there were fans for the windows the one warm night was ungodly hot in the room. Would never consider this for a summer stay ( we were there Labor Day week) Shower was very small.
My children enjoyed having hot chocolate each am.
Owner and staff were all excellent.
Everything pool close to Sunapee Harbor Clean Relaxing quite cute
The owner seemed really nice.
It was noisy. I don't know if it was because there were a couple of groups there and they talked outside a lot but noise seemed to carry. One guest wouldn't shut. He talked non stop and his voice carried.
Special accommodation - I checked in very late, but they left the room open for me with the lights on. Also a generous continental breakfast with fresh fruit.
Not enough soundproofing - people in the next room left their TV on all night, making it hard to sleep soundly.
Good location if you want to go snowboarding.
The owner is very rude and nasty. I called to try to cancel because something had come up. He was beyond rude, said no and hung up on me. I don't know how you can own a business and have that kind of attitude. I would never stay here again just because of the owner... I would recommend not staying.
The staff - wonderful mindset
I was a mom traveling with a 14 yr old daughter and her friend for a ski race at Sunapee. We got in late on a icy rainy night and left early in the morning. The accommodations were great for what we needed. I liked having parking right in front of our room and I liked being right next to the lobby where they very nicely put breakfast out early to accommodate us.
The night I came the rain soaked roads were freezing over and turning to sheer ice. It was a bit treacherous trying to get to the Lodge........but that's not their fault.
homey feel squealing toilet-kids had fun with this-very entertaining
tough controlling heat in room small shower
It was close to where we wanted to be.
There was an odd smell in the room when the heat was on.
Nice breakfast & great location.
It felt very homey staff was very gracious.
Breakfast selection could have been more varied.
Very economical for a weekend stay with a family of 4. Also, a great location with a perfect view of the mountain.
The View the king size room
Continental Breakfast: meager w/o fruit or yogurt, not fresh, but "packaged" Wifi was weak, slow and I could on get on-line once. Actual experience did not match provided info (Linksys?)
The staff was very friendly. And the room was warm, clean and has well-equipped fatalities. There are microwave, coffee machine, television, hair dryer. Also they supply a bag of microwave popcorn, some coffee and tea.
But this lodge is on a hillside, so the road was extremely slippery because of the bad weather and snowstorm. I can't drive to anywhere.
room was chilly when i arrived
