Hotel was under renovation : no lobby , no room service , no breakfast . I discovered all this only on arrival .
Location was excellent for my wife as she loves to shop and explore.
We stayed two nights, while our room was clean and ready upon our arrival, it was not cleaned the next day. We did request clean towels and soap, of which they promptly delivered.
Great location and nice staff. Great pet accommodation. Unfortunately, lobby restaurant renovation makes it tough to justify the price.
We had an awesome stay
I couldn't login to free wifi
The professinalism of the personnel at the reception in particular Sacha and Zanna who were extremly helpful
Pretty much everything!
Wine hour should have included cheese
Well run, efficient top quality hotel takes the angst out of business travel. Small enough to be truly comfy, large enough to carry all the amenities one might want: valet service, excellent restaurant to dine in or request delivery, choice of floors and rooms. Susan, Mikwaukee
Breakfast/restaurant, service & ambience.
Location excellent. Staff excellent. Enjoyed the afternoon wine reception. Hated the music and staff in the restaurant wouldn't turn it off. A bit old fashioned and certainly expensive.
Music in the restaurant was awful and they wouldn't turn it off. Too expensive. But building marvelous. Worth the price, but not too often.
This was our first time in Chicago and what a great hotel to start off with. So close to Millenium Park, major shopping, waterfront and bus tour stop. The atmosphere and the staff were amazing.
A tad pricy.
the bed and pillows provided were the best! i had such a great sleep that it was tough getting out of bed :) the room was a nice size and location was superb - i could see the Chicago theatre sign as well as the pavilion from my windows. great big windows gave the room a lot of natural light. shopping, millenium park etc was very easily accessible. definitely will stay again. staff very helpful too
for the price, simple breakfast would have been nice. there was really nothing i didn't like.
price old, outdated shower / bathroom breakfast ... average no real 'extra's'
Wonderful heritage building and plush room. Any problems addressed immediately. Excellent staff and management.
Small deluxe room. Not enough hotel info, ie coffee maker in room on request.
Helpful and friendly staff, upgraded to a suite at no extra cost, clean, welcoming and excellent staff
The staff was super friendly and nice...room service was great...wonderful old Retro styling..loved it...stocked refrigerator...real brass keys.
No coffee in the room.
Location, pet friendly, clean, great style, staff
no coffee maker in room
location, parking is near, bit pricey but too much
kitchen closes at 9 PM, limited room service menu
Beautiful historic hotel. Excellent location.
Tiniest bathroom ever.
Small, beautiful hotel
The staffs are very helpful, friendly and make you feel very welcoming. The hotel is at the Reliance building which is one of the classic and vintage buildings. Great location and easy access to all subway lines and buses. It is also a great shopping area, walking distance to Millennium Park and good restaurants. We stayed at 12th floor and have an excellent downtown skyline view
I have nothing to complain about
Our concierge was so polite and friendly. And he left us a surprise in our room when we mentioned it was our anniversary. We were very touched!
perfect location; perfectly wonderful rate; perfectly attentive staff; better than perfect view of not only the city, but the lakefront as well, the perfect shopping experience right around the block and a Starbuck's on every corner! How could our experience get any better than that?
We only wish we could have stayed longer than just one night to enjoy all of the wonderfulness of the hotel!!!
Helpful staff and clean room Location
Shower should be repaired
Room service took too long TV was not clear picture.
The hotel was great
Although I was not in Chicago for the medical convention I was subjected to rates that would have been less if I arrived the week before or after
