Hotel very quiet, didn't need to use earplugs the whole time!

Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice

Location! The "Cafe" off the lobby a good spot for dinner the day of arrival -upscale but relaxed with very good service. Nice to be able to invite friends in and not have to go out after traveling all day. Easy for locals to reach and convenient as a base for activities.

Excellent service.

The room, particularly the bed was very comfortable and quiet. It was in the ne corner and afforded a great view down State Street including the famous Chicago Theatre marquee (iconic landmark), the Trump Tower, macy's etc. The staff were attentive and very helpful. The location was terrific, central and convenient for those wanting to experience the best of Chicago (close to Millenium Park, arts, shopping, and genreal sightseeing.)

We appreciate and enjoy historic architecture in Chicago. The hotel is beautiful and well appointed. Above all, the staff, right down to the valet parking people were helpful and friendly.

This is a small thing but we would have appreciated two bedside tables. We both like to arrange some items next to us at night.

The info on the website was wrong-- there isn't free internet for all hotel guests. The room was poorly lit, especially the bathroom.

The room was a bit smaller than I expected from the description of Deluxe King Room.

We had a fantastic experience staying at the Burnham, from the very friendly and helpful front desk staff, through to the gorgeous room and great view, as well as excellent cafe/restaurant staff and service. The restaurant was closed on the 4th of July holiday, and the front desk staff had prepared a list of local restaurants that were open and kindly booked our choice for us - thank you! The hotel building itself is beautiful and well restored and in a fantastic location within the loop, shopping district, and close to millenium park. We really appreciated our stay - what a great welcome to Chicago and the US!

Key location in the loop with almost no street noise on the 10th floor. Very nice room at a great price.

The Burnham has a lot to offer. Its location in the Loop is perfect for all of the cultural opportunities in Chicago: Art Institute, Lyric Opera, Joffrey Ballet, Goodman Theater and more. Access to the red line is steps away. The hotel is architecturally significant. It has a first class restaurant, the Atwood Cafe. And probably most importantly, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff is efficient, helpful and friendly. They offer Starbucks coffee in the lobby every morning and wine in the late afternoon. That's a nice touch. Really, it has everything I want from a Chicago hotel.

The location was wonderful. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was situated in a building that had been an architectural gem.

Weekend brunch was over priced. Weekday menu was more reasonable.
