Great, friendly, proactive staff; Fantastic location; Easy access by car, T, walking...
Everything. When I arrived, on a flight that had been delayed for eight hours, I was welcomed with an upgrade; every attempt was made to make me comfortable. Particular kudos to Sean at the front desk who was impeccably courteous and helpful.
excellent and welcoming staff, comfortable and stylish rooms, great restaurants, and location
small gym- it would be great to have a spa on site.
The shower was amazing. The room was great. I liked the digital tablet interface. Didn't understand it at first, thought it was just a clock. Used it as a menu for breakfast.
Lots of construction inside and out. I hope they're building a parking lot. Paid too much for slow valet parking. No coffee maker in room. Still nice room.
This is a great hotel with a great location -- near the subway for easy access to downtown, and a short walk from Boston University. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We had a little trouble with our air-conditioner being noisy, which was a pain, but the staff worked hard to resolve the issue the best they could.
We moved to this hotel after we had a reservation at the Holiday Inn which was just awful. This hotel was just amazing and cheaper!
Everybody around the hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend!
Would be nice if more room service options were available 24 hours.
the bars downstairs
Room was very spacious and clean Receptionist was very kind.
some rusty smell in the bath room.
Friendly people every where!
The purpose of my trip was to see my beloved Boston Red Sox. The Hotel Commonwealth is "The Official Hotel of the Boston Red Sox".I guess that says it all how well the Hotel Commonwealth added to my stay.Eastern Standard at the property is a 4 star restaurant.
Kenmore square is a wonderful location with access to public transportation but lots to do and see within walking distance. Room was spacious. Any requests were followed up on immediately.
There was some kind of construction going on that literally caused the room to shake every few seconds during the day. Luckily we weren't in the room much or it would have been awful. It was a busy weekend in Boston so room rates were increased quite a bit. Plan ahead if you can.
Large room, big bed, room facilities, early check-in, oyster bar
Charge $6 for a glass of milk when we asked for a jug for our tea, slightly disinterested staff at the desk.
location for our purposes bell man was helpful and friendly as was the front desk staff
No water bottle in the room, no pad, pen no bible, no hotel directory, no menus. No coffee in room or in the lobby. Too expensive for experience
Very accommodating Staff
Shawn at the front desk was amazing . He was so helpfu. We were visiting BU with our daughter and he was eager to help with directions and anything else we needed . He should be promoted ! And give him a salary increase ...
Excellent location Staff amazing Great rooms & clean Would recommend to anyone.
There's isn't any negatives!
Great location..close to all historical sites. Within walking distance of most things.
Nice rooms, good service, good location
The price is too hight not quite value for money. You can hear your next door neighbour warching TV and you can hear people talking in the hallway, not what I call luxury standard. The DVDs you can borrow are mostly old movies.
Roomy, good location
No coffee maker in the room or in the lobby. Big no no. For that price, how easy would it to put a Keurig in the rooms or at least have a coffee bar in the lobby. Internet was on and off as well.
Possibility to choose between different types of pillows. Shuttle service to and from airport.
Could not sleep well, because of the pillow. Very high rate.
Public transportation, restaurant, convenient store and Fenway park all within a split second walk.
Unfortunately, the A.C. was blowing in my spouse's face all night long. We tried to redirect but to no avail.
Although our room was right on Commonwealth Ave., it was extremely quiet. It is also very close to Fenway Park which makes it easy to get home from a baseball game.
I have stayed at Hotel Commonwealth several times for business, but this was the first time for leisure. That gave me more opportunity to enjoy the property. Very comfortable room, excellent service. The restaurants on either side are good - the Island Creek Oyster Bar is exceptional. Great location. Walk to museums and Fenway Park.
The price is high, but comparable to other Boston hotels in this class and I think the service level and location make it worth it.
Excellent value and comfy
