Fantastic location, within walking distance of top NY sights and districts. Really close to many different metro lines along 23rd st. Room was clean, very comfortable and secure. Free wifi in room was good. Free continental breakfast was also good, nice range of food including fruit. Hair dryer, ironing board and iron, in-room safe, minibar all included. I would stay here again and would recommend, good value for the price. The two lifts were a bit old and slow, they would occasionally break down but not a huge issue, unless you're on one of the very top floors. Hotel seems to be very popular with school and youth groups, particularly from Britain when I was there. They could be a little noisy.

Hotel was very close the heard of the Manhattan. Hotel rooms stuff were too old. Television's were too old generation and there was no international chanel. Aircondation units were too old and too noisy to sleep in the room. All electrical cables edges were open! Parking at this area too expensive to park the car.

Relatively good location. Good breakfast. Not as clean as I would like. Seemed like it really needs a makeover. Staff were too clinical for my liking. Only answering the direct question but no engaement to really help. Disappointing.

Lobby was very nice and there was a decent complimentary continental breakfast. Hotel staff was professional. Check-in and checkout were excellent. It must have been recently acquired by Comfort Inn because it was not up to Comfort Inn standards. Poorly maintained (signs said it was under renovation), but perhaps not yet started). Carpets in the hallway on 11th floor with our sleeping room were abismal. Elevators were slow and ancient. Hotel was narrow and uncomfortable to get around. Not a hotel I pan to stay at again.

Very central mid-town location The place is dated and in need of a major update. Bedding was thin and old. Carpets very dated and dirty in places. You can tell the house cleaning staff and the overall management of the hotel does not focus on the details. Had I known this I would have stayed one block further at the 4 Points, which was $10 more a night and much nicer.

Ideal for us as a family (2 adults 3 teenage kids) to visit New York for the weekend. We had a family room towards the back of the hotel. It was just right for us as we really only slept in the room, we were out of the hotel all day every day from about 9am till 11pm. Could do with having someone run a vacuum cleaner around the edge of the room - dust is building up!

The location was great and the staff were generally friendly and helpfull, although not very knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfast was good with a nice selection on offer. Amenities in room were good. The decor was old and shabby, could do with a refit. In the room the carpets were frayed and dirty, didn't want to step on them in bare feet. The bathroom fittings were well worn and the shower kept going cold. The view from the window was appauling. Although initially I thought the room was reasonably priced, it turned out to be quite expensive when all the taxes were added. I wouldn't stay again but would definitely find another hotel in that area...great location.

It was a good value for the money. Old hotel rooms were a bit small but for a family of 5 we had 2 rooms and it worked out very well.

The Reception Staff were excellent. I reported the Hair Dryer was faulty, and a new Dryer was in our room later that same day. Housekeeping were friendly and very efficient ..... I guess we were lucky that Occupancy was quite low ..... so we were happy with all the attention. Excellent for location, value for money.

The front desk had excellent customer skills. However, the on site booking tours employee gave us the wrong information about the hop on hop off bus, telling us it was not on for the day we wanted. We were very angry to of changed our plans and see that the buses were operating. Just not the company that the hotel was promoting. I understand the prices go up for the Christmas season, but found the prices over inflated for the type of accomodation. I would rather pay more for better.

Yay for a place that still has smoking rooms available. Free breakfast (minor breakfast). Great location, quiet and within a small walk to four different major subway lines. The small room was well-appointed and useful. They could use a refresh to the tv - still old CRTs. The doors were loud.

We really liked the location, we could walk pretty much every where we wanted to go and if not there was a short walk to the 23rd subway stations which had all the main subway lines we needed. the room got pretty cold (in december '11) during the night so we needed to use the air condition to heat up the room... needless to say it was loud.

The location of the hotel was great. You have easy access to the subway and it is just a half of a block from the Flat Iron Building. If you are doing the double decker bus there is a stop right there to get on to the bus. Great places to eat and with in walking distance of the hotel. I will be recommending this hotel to family & friends that are going to New York City for pleasure.
