Hotel was very close the heard of the Manhattan. Hotel rooms stuff were too old. Television's were too old generation and there was no international chanel. Aircondation units were too old and too noisy to sleep in the room. All electrical cables edges were open! Parking at this area too expensive to park the car.

Fantastic location, within walking distance of top NY sights and districts. Really close to many different metro lines along 23rd st. Room was clean, very comfortable and secure. Free wifi in room was good. Free continental breakfast was also good, nice range of food including fruit. Hair dryer, ironing board and iron, in-room safe, minibar all included. I would stay here again and would recommend, good value for the price. The two lifts were a bit old and slow, they would occasionally break down but not a huge issue, unless you're on one of the very top floors. Hotel seems to be very popular with school and youth groups, particularly from Britain when I was there. They could be a little noisy.

We were very pleased with what we got. All the previous reviews were spot on and the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff was excellent. The room for our family was right at the top and so there was no noise to contend with. We would go back again and would tell people about this hotel. The only things that we would note were that the breakfast room was being renovated. I think we should have been told that as it made everything a little congested. The distance from Penn station is a 25 minute walk if you have children. About 20 for adults. It is easy enough to do but if you are off an international flight it is not the 'short' walk as suggested. I think also a large subway map in the foyer would be good. You could see that 23rd street is the best to get on. Eating out as a family is limited in the immediate area. We had to look around a bit. Once again the foyer could have quick information relevant to the immediate area so that people can see what is available. But these are small things. We will use this hotel again and tell others about it.

This was the best price I could find in NYC for that weekend, which was apparently a busy one due to some fashion shows in town. What I really liked was the service I received from Booking.com. I had called the hotel twice to make a request after I made my booking, and the first rep was unsure about how to handle the situation, while the second rep was dismissive. The Bookings.com rep,. however, was gracious, articulate, and personable, and took care of the issue immediately.Regards,F.L. Daniels

The best thing about the comfort Inn Chelsea was the price. We were also able to fit five people in one room in the family suite. Most hotels make you book two rooms if you have five people. Enjoyed having free breakfast in the morning. When we arrived our TV was not working, somone came up right away and replaced it. Elevator is two slow. Black mold in the bathroom. View of back alley dissapointing.

Great location. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Very close to the Flatiron district. Breakfast wasn't very good. The fruit was all gone as were the waffles. I spoke with the front desk person and he said they are working on this issue.

No additional charges for the Internet access, centre of the city, subway station is just around the corner, breakfast is included. Room was a bit small but I guess it's normal for NYC.

The Staff of the hotel were both friendly and helpful. Your breakfast was very generous. It is not handicap friendly (I currently have a problem with one of my knees and was using a walking stick) my first challenge were the entrance and then to carry my suitcases all the way to 507! I used the coffee maker and it was not very clean (specially on the back it had a lot of dust).

The door lock did not work properly and someone had to come from the reception to open our door every time we had to get in, and since it was the weekend they couldn't have anyone coming to fix it. The heating system was old and noisy.

Family room was great especially with 2 teenagers. Close to subway and attractions. Breakfast was perfect for tourists who want to get out and sightsee. Reception was good when our flight was cancelled and rescheduled for late arrival. Tour guide in lobby did not know street address locations in Manhattan which sent me 10 blocks further than I needed to go.

The Reception Staff were excellent. I reported the Hair Dryer was faulty, and a new Dryer was in our room later that same day. Housekeeping were friendly and very efficient ..... I guess we were lucky that Occupancy was quite low ..... so we were happy with all the attention. Excellent for location, value for money.

The location was great and was very near to important areas. The subway was just one block away and so travelling was very easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back and stay in this hotel if and when visiting the city again.

The front desk had excellent customer skills. However, the on site booking tours employee gave us the wrong information about the hop on hop off bus, telling us it was not on for the day we wanted. We were very angry to of changed our plans and see that the buses were operating. Just not the company that the hotel was promoting. I understand the prices go up for the Christmas season, but found the prices over inflated for the type of accomodation. I would rather pay more for better.

Yay for a place that still has smoking rooms available. Free breakfast (minor breakfast). Great location, quiet and within a small walk to four different major subway lines. The small room was well-appointed and useful. They could use a refresh to the tv - still old CRTs. The doors were loud.
