The Central Loop Hotel is situated in Downtown Chicago and is close to shops, restaurants and Quincy Station. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was very clean, comfortable and well maintained - although quite compact. The hotel offered us free use of a computer and printer for 'checking in airline tickets' on line, along with free use of their Wi Fi. The rate charged was very fair considering the Hotel's situation. There is an English Style pub adjoining the hotel which was very convenient and pleasant and offers a wide range of beers and food. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Room was quiet and comfortable, and "right-sized" for a couple or solo traveler. I appreciated the bottled water and the variety of books in the room. Desk staff and valet were courteous and efficient. Retrieving the valet-parked car takes some time, so plan ahead.

The club atmosphere provides a whole floor for people who need to do work on the computer, print up boarding passes, and collate their work materials. It's also a social area for talking to other travelers, many of whom are visiting Europeans. My room had a generous study/work area with a bookcase including some interesting books--a nice touch. The hotel had likely been an apt. Building, but they had done a good job of carving cozy rooms out of the eccentric layout. The check-in process involved computer terminals which still required some prompting by the staff. And there were only two desks for hotel staffers, who were clearly flustered and over-worked. They need to spend a little more on labor and put in a counter of staffers instead of asant two desks.

The hotel was great for what I was looking for. I wanted something clean and in a good location but didn't need the most luxurious accomodations. I had everything I needed - the room was basic, functional, comfortable and reasonably priced.

It is in an excellent location, cannot be any better. One block from Willis (Sears) Tower, 2 blocks from State Street, 3 blocks from Michigan Avenue. Perfect for shopping, walking. Hotel is very nice in general. Free wireless available and works well. Access to metro on State street, convenient access to Airport via Blue Line. This is definitely my Chicago hotel going forward. Staff looks like they are in hurry, they check you in using a self-service type of kiosk, you feel like "here is your key, here is your bill, go, go, go". Hotel is very busy, that may be the reason.

Clean, surprisingly affordable by Chicago hotel standards. This is now my Chicago hotel. That there is a $50 miscellaneous fee tacked onto your credit card and they don't mention anywhere this occurs. Bad Form!!!

The proximity to DePaul University was an important factor for me, next to price. Overall, the hotel staff lacked responsiveness and enthusiasm in helping customers. When they see you, they don't make the initiative to greet you or ask if you need anything. In a service type business, it's important to have someone at the service desk all the time waiting to greet people and attending to people's needs. The only person who gave me great service was the room attendant and I felt very bad that I was in a rush to leave the hotel and forgot to give him his tip! The hotel restaurant was not any better. I would have gone elsewhere for breakfast but I misjudged the blustery weather at 6am and retreated back to the hotel restaurant. When I went there for breakfast, I noticed an empty place with only 2 guests at the time. They had 2 people to greet people at the door which I thought was a small improvement over the reservations desk, but had only 1 waiter who disappeared frequently. I was seated at a corner where there was a lot of foot traffic. When I asked to be seated elsewhere, instead of relocating me to another table, the waiter asked me if I wanted to sit at the other end of my table! Impertinent! Sensing I wasn't pleased with this, the waiter eventually gave me another table. I wanted to order more things from the menu but decided to leave because service was poor at best with 2 people at the door doing nothing and a waiter who spent his time in the kitchen.

The location was great. The room was very small but comparable to other Queen rooms in other hotels listed in Chicago. The hotel gives a slight discount on self serve parking around the corner, but the fee still adds about 25$ to the cost of your stay. The air heating system is loud.

Great location. There is a bus station right in front of the hotel and the bus can take you to Magnificant Mile. Only couple of minutes walk to State St. And subway station. Especially if you are going to the airport, take the blue line at Monroe Blue, which is only like 3 mins away from the hotel. Really good location, can't say more! Hmmm the room the not that big... No good window view or anything. Anyway we were in Chicago not for staying in the hotel. So the room is standable at least it is clean. Well the housekeeping staff is not very friendly. When I asked for more stuff via phone call, he came w/ a long face... Is it because that it was holiday week and he felt bad to be working?

The staff during check in and check out, along with the time during the stay were very courteous. The location close to the Palmer House & the Loop trains was a big plus. It was good to have a breakfast restaurant close by. My room was always clean and made up. All of the staff were super. I really enjoyed my stay at your hotel. Sound seems to travel between rooms. The guy next to me snored and the sound kept me up at night. He was really loud. The bottom sheets of the bed became untucked very easily. Fitted sheets for the bottom sheets might be an idea. Since you have the email of guests, perhaps an email about the features of the hotel prior to arrival would be good. While I was pleasantly surprised the the quality and features of the hotel, I might have take better advantage of them if I had known about the quality of the hotel prior to arrival. The ventilation system seemed a bit loud at night. I finally left it off so the room would be quiet at night. I had an app for my phone, and it was measuring 55-56 db at night (with the system on).

Not far from Union Station and shopping. Was not informed to use room card in order to use elevators. TV was over to side in corner of room; difficult to see. TV channles were okay. No view from window at all. Had plastic film on windows.

We traveled to Chicago to attend the Chicago Lyric Opera, and this hotel is easily within walking distance from the Lyric. We have stayed at this hotel five or six times in the past years. The rooms are small, but the beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect for shopping and dining.
