Being checkout was so early They had changing rooms available to use after a day at beach.
Early 10am checkout
I was on the first floor which had the largest windows allowing lots of light which I love. The ceiling were high and my room just had an expansive feel. Staff was friendly, helpful ad I appreciate good stomper service. I had several requests and they met everyone of them..
There wasn't a non smoking section on their beautiful terrace. I would ove around be it felt like if you were a smoker then you should come to this hotel. Outside only. It was double because Brigantine is windy.
Restaurant on site, good kitchen facilities, good location, friendly staff.
Bathroom had a water leak in the ceiling. Reported it, they just replaced the ceiling tile, but didn't fix the leak. Leaked again, then they put a bowl above the ceiling tile to catch the leak and it filled up and dripped again. The ceiling tile bulged out with the weight of the water. It' s a good thing it didn't fall on our heads! Parking is limited.
First was often had problems with one being shut down and another being slow. Second was hot water, there wasn't a consistency, it would switch between hot and cold and back and forth.
Location, location, location!
This is an older hotel. If you want fancy and new this is not your style. We have stayed here before and will stay again. It is an amazing location and inexpensive. The rooms are clean and comfortable but old. The staff was friendly and helpful. My kids loved the pool. Overall, a great value if you want a beach vacation.
The parking was a bit chaotic but there are several attendants who are very helpful and do a great job with the tiny lot they have to work with.
Beach front location - Easy access to all nearby attractions like Atlantic City casinos and outlets, Ocean City boardwalk and more.
Rooms were not very clean and in great need of updating and renovating.
Love the location, on the beach. Like the fact that the same people are there every year. Staff very accommodating.
Beds were a little old. Sofa beds were very uncomfortable. Slow elevators.
Was unable to get receipt when checking out. There was no info about area attraction, restaurants etc. facilities need to be upgraded,I.e., carpeting was old, appeared dirty, and unattractive.
Overall, a very nice stay and right by the beach. Room was decent with good temperature controls. Staff was polite and helpful.
Parking - As a guest, I should have a guaranteed parking spot in the lot. Bathroom - Small, but acceptable. There was an outdoor band that was a little noisy at the attached restaurant.
I love Brigantine Beach! It is a clean safe private beach community close to Atlantic City. Unfortunately the only beach side hotel is Legacy which I really wanted to like since I do not need a full-week condo townhouse and usually travel about 4 nights. I love booking.com and use it frequently and most often find the negative comments are not as bad as what I end up seeing during my stay at various hotels.
Unfortunately, in terms of Legacy what you read is definitely true and I will not stay at the hotel again. I was told it was built in 1920 which some would think might give it "character" but clearly it only means it is very old and not well maintained. Marker on chairs, carpet coming up, crooked barely working stove, trash closet in hall full all week with garbage and flies. The only reason I stayed is the bed and bathroom were crisp & clean. Check-in ladies were nice but I did not see another single employee the rest of the days. We literally were stuck in the elevator and had to be released via the maintenance key. Next year we will walk a block or two to get to the beach!
The only thing this dump has going for it is the location.
Awful, outdated, gross room! The walls were this disgusting cottage cheese texture, painted a terrible institution color blue. It reminded me of a hospital room maybe on a psych ward somewhere. My room was on the lobby level and looked out on a garbage receptical. I heard workers out there and who knows what else late at night. So creepy...like Bates Motel! The blinds were stuck and wouldn't move, so I tried to turn each one individually to get some privacy. This place was appalling with an old, lumpy bed, gross bedspread and a kitchenette which wasn't good enough for a dog. There was a pubic hair on the floor when I arrived. The toilet barely flushed. Loud, awful air-conditioner which actually did serve a purpose...when it kicked on, I couldn't hear the people coming in after midnight (one was swearing and screaming right outside my door. I tried to change my room, but the front desk said the didn't have any. Don't waste your money at this hellhole, please!
loved location,hotel,restaruant was amazing!
the room was ok,the carpet was awful felt and looked very dirty...the couch and comforter needed to be replaced.
sand bar and food
shower was broken, refridgator and stove were dirty. T.V too small.
proximity to beach
Right on the beach, onsite restaurant/outdoor bar, indoor pool
Parking is tricky but valet service is very accommodating.
It was right on the beach and the Laguna restaurant was right there so that was very convient
The room was very very small compare to the picture on the website the elevator was old and was scary like it was going to break down the staff was very inexperience!
Liked that it was right on the beach! Liked the restruant / bar right next door. Loved the private beach! Pool was fun for kids.
Unit we stayed in needed new carpeting and couch... Very dirty for a toddler. Probably would not stay again if we couldn't have an updated unit.
Space, pool, being on the beach, being available for our special occasion.
For the amount of money spent for the amount of days we did stay, it would have been better to have housekeeping remove the trash and give clean towels at minimum.
Location, location, location.
Parking is at a premium
I liked the location, stores were in walking distance and the beach was beautiful. I will return as the hotel was quiet and we loved that.
The parking,Laguna Beach resturant was pricey.
Location! Right on the beach. Staff was very helpful & pleasant. Accommodations were clean. Great service when we needed additional items such as towels/sheets.
1 of 2 Elevators not working- difficult for guests.
Location was perfect.
Hard time getting a response when calling front desk for a rollaway cot. I had to go down to the desk and ring the bell to get service. Front desk attendant wasn't that friendly, but did deliver the cot. I was disappointed that I was later charged for it after paying such a high price for the room.
I like that the building is historical! I also like that there is a resturant/beach bar attached to the hotel.
Plumbing was old and there were temperature fluctuations while showering.
