Cable Car Court Hotel  

This is a residential hotel - not a one or two night stay. Please update your booking site so that people know they are not allowed to stay for less than a week - or they will be charged a full weeks rate.

Though we had booked a room with shared bathroom, on arrival we got a room with private bathroom with no extra cost. Also could check in early. The room had refrigerator and microwave with was quite useful.

It does not seem to be like a hotel as they don't have any reception and Had to wait outside the hotel to enter unless you can call and ask the manager to come down to open the entrance door for you. The same (call) if you need any item or need any other help. The shower in the room was spoil, and even after complaining it was not possible to control the water temperature. As a result could not bath for two days due to the cold water. The room was very basic and dirty. The bedsheets were stained and even were torn at many places. We were paying $85 per day (not cheap) and got very poor service. Paying the same rice got much better service elsewhere. I had to book this hotel as I did not get reservation elsewhere and would never recommend the place unless u don't have any other option.

I liked his position and the fridge in the room that was very good. Above all I liked the low price, so is perfect for saving money!

The bed sheets were not clean. The hot water in the shower was very difficult to manupulate and I had to have shower with extremely hot water. The room was cold without conditioning. No towels for the shower and thanks to the former riviews, I brought a big one with me. No cleaning in the room...they did it just the day before my departure (I have been 8 days).

The location was great for exploring the city. Very close to public transportation.

Apparently this hotel seemed to be some sort of transitional housing set up. The first five nights of my eight night stay I had to listen to a screaming "resident" all night long. It was not only incredibly frustrating, as I barely slept, but made me feel more than a bit uneasy. The management finally resolved the issue - after the fifth night - and only after I requested a full refund for having to put up with such nonsense. Of course they would not refund my money and unfortunately, I was forced to spend the remainder of my stay there. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone! I've traveled extensively, both within the U.S. and abroad, and have never had such an awful experience!

Price and location. Not a wonderful five star like hotel but fair enough for the price.

Can't use internet in the room even I'm willing to pay for it like what other hotels do. Free wifi avalible only in the lobby and the wifi is quite weak and slow. Otherwise, fair treat.

The fridge and microwave in the room

I thought the rooms were nicely designed with modern colors, exceptionally clean and very peaceful. They were equiped with nice fridge, microwave and tv. They provided us with soap, shampoo and even hair products which is hard to find in any weekly. Great laundry room on site. Clean throughout entire hotel and you had the feeling you were renting an apartment rather than a hotel. Convenient and secure entry, great staff, and I just really enjoyed my stay! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. Centrally located to all shops, businesses and transportation! You cannot go wrong renting here!

Price and location are excellent , everything else is like living in an apt in sf. It's perfect if you want a nice place to stay that's close to everything .

I want to express my appreciation for Freddy the hotel manager. He was very flexible and professional in his approach to me.

No wifi in the room.

The gentleman at the front desk knew my name and called me by it. I had a late check in (after midnight) and the night manager was very nice about letting me in.

My first room was in the basement and had no bathroom. (Shared bathroom) It was a small room and had a bad order. If was very unpleasant. The next moring they changed my room to a better one with a bath. I would suggest staying there in one of their rooms with a bathroom. It costs slightly more.

Location (walking distance to China Town) supertmarket around the corner

Beds were not very good, no breakfast (we knew this) very simpel hotel most of the guests are no tourists, but long stay
