Cable Car Court Hotel  

Smell, dirt and noise. But I understand that by Amrican standards it was a nice budget hotel for students. But it was lot of dust in carpets...no real sound protection on windows..smell of chlorine and something else...very old furniture. The hotels in general are awfull in sf. No comparisone with Europe. 5 stars in sf are like 3 stars in Sweden. At least it was quite safe and people tried to provide good service. Thanks them...I Think they even don't have any opinion how should like a normal budget-hotel. The civilised world does't live like that...I Am very sorry. Thanks anyhow people!

Location was good for what I wanted to see / do. Staff were very heplful.

Great location right with a California St cable car stop right in front of the hotel. Perfect size room for people who will not be in their room much, but still enjoy a homey feeling room. Very private, comfortable and accommodating.

Great central location. Easy to get anywhere using the pubic transit options near by. Room was decently clean. Other tenants in building were friendly.

It was noisy during the day. The windows facing the court yard experienced noise from trash Shute and maintenance crew. No shelving in shared restroom for towels, clothes, or to place shampoo and body wash/soap. Front desk only open 8-5(we had an early check out 6:30) not very convenient.

They had a problem with alarm system,but they were workin on it to fix it Every second day came loud trash car around 5am.... No internet on the room

The hotel has an excellent location. You can easily walk to remarkable places of San Francisco. It is safe to walk around and you have many opportunities to taste different types of food at the surrounding restaurants..

There is not a regular daily cleaning service. You have to ask for it. However, it is what you get for the price you pay. So, you save a lot of money.

Great value. Kind and friendly manager. Fantastic size wardrobe (a second room) as we had lots of luggage and didn't have to keep it all in our room. Great location.

There is a funny smell throughout the hotel.

The RFID Keys. The ease of access to cable cars/buses. The old fashioned brass elevator. The room service on request instead of daily poking through my stuff.

The biggest thing would be double pane windows. The area is noisy at night and the cable is a constant noise. Double windows would help with that.

I like their friendly staff. The first two days I was in a small, shared-bathroom room but they upgrade my room with no problems, even they proposed me the change :) Upgrading to a nice, private bathroom room in the second floor. The room was nice and comfortable.

ok relation between price and standard in an expensive town. Hotel was clean, beds ok though short, bathroom clean and ok - walking distance to a lot of things.

Location is quiet good. 15 minutes from downtown by bus. Secutiry is good. The place is good, many places to eat nearby.

Staff - Was not very helpfull, did not explain many things, for example, that they do not receive packages (fedex/ups). Not clean: My towels were changed once a week. They change it only from 9 to 5 but I was never there at that time. They clean your room once a week. Wifi: Only in the lobby. I knew this, no surprise, but it would be great to have wifi in your room.

The manager was great. Friendly and always helpful and nice. Location was good as we could walk to Fishermans wharf, Castro , china town and union square. Would stay here again as the value for money was great. We needed a budget accommodation.

The location is excellent. The cable car stops right in front of it, there is a bus line #9 just one block down from it and Union Square is just 5 blocks away! totally easy access anywhere in the city!

It smells a bit old but it adds character to the hotel.

The situation

Rooms are small and without the internet. You don't have a good table and the bathroom is so weird.

Location, location. Close to everything, right in front there is a cable car stop!

The room included fridge and microwave.

A lot of noise from the street. Bed was too noisy. You could clearly hear the noise from the bathroom. No bathroom extractor. The shower was too small and no bath tube included. Not bicycle-friendly. It was too pricey.

Friendly Staff, nice clean room with (tv, fridge & microwave), clean bathroom, also the gate hotel gate is well secured, the area is very centered & safe, also the area is full cafes, restraunts & other stores, I would stay here again

1. They didn't notify me that I have to pay my full accommodation cost on check in, it was a surprise for me. 2. my room was cleaned once only in 8 days. 3. when i arrived there wasn't any signs on the hotel, so it took me a while to find it, but before i leave they added a sign. 4. when u arrive u have to wait outside the gate till someone comes down to open for u. 5. the WI- Fi works only in the lobby. 6. the shades permits sun light in, it doesn't block the light well.

We had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and had an amazing view. The whole building has real San Francisco character and the neighborhood is lively with many places for eating out, shopping, banking, and theater-going. The location is unparalleled for access to public transit with the California Street cable car stopping literally right in front of the hotel, and major bus lines on nearby streets. We could not find any decent hotels with a weekly rate as good as this one. We will definitely stay here again, next time we come to the City.

The staff warned us that there would be noise from the street on outside- facing rooms, and it was lively outside at night, especially on Saturday night up until midnight or so, but some foam earplugs took care of this, and this did not detract from our stay-- we actually liked hearing the life of the City going on outside.

It is a nice clean place to stay in the city if you are on a budget.

Loveed the friendliness of the staff. Very helpful with directions and the room cleaned and sheets changed whenever requested. The location was grate as in the middle so convinent.

Lucy and Erkan, the hotel staff, where very friendly and helpful. Nice neighbourhood with enough nice restaurants. Public transportation stop nearby. Clean bed.

The hotel itself. No atmosphere, too far from all the action. Depressing room, dark, too hot. I wanted budget, I got budget, but I need more luxury so I did not extend my stay and moved to another more expensive hotel. Ok for young travellers who need a place to stay for a night or two, not suitable for family with young children. Not suitable for anyone who want to enjoy a real holiday after months of hard work. You won't find any comfort here.

The staff was so friendly, reasonably clean, perfect location, price is excellent.

Es un buen hotel por que esta en una calle centrica,es seguro y el personal es atento, aunque quizas por un precio menor puedes encontrar el mismo servicio en otro hotel.
