Cabrillo Inn at the Beach    

Cabrillo Inn is a great value. Right on the beach. Close to downtown. Friendly staff.

Old, dated, cheap sheets & towels, old dated bed spread & carpets. Old dated bathroom. High price for this interior.

Location was good, right next to the electric bus service along the beachfront and into downtown. Ample free parking and good breakfast included.

Lack of hair dryer! My wife always needs a hairdryer as carrying one when we travel is an extra burden and the power ratings are different from Europe.

I liked that it was right across the street from the beach.

It would be nice to have more healthier options for breakfast.

No AC, just fan. But this isn't that important on the beach in Santa Barbara.

The view, and walk across the street access to the beach. The pool. The wonderful view deck off of our room. Parking was easy. All the beach boardwalk areas right from the hotel. The location to everything we wanted to do.

Well, very very few hide a beds are comfortable, and we were sleeping in a room that was to sleep 4. We took the mattress of of the couch and slept on the floor. That is very rough for 60 year old grandparents, but we still had a great time.

The location was great. Had nice beach access.

The reservation said that it had micro-fridge and it did not said it had hair dryer and did not! When u travel across country it is important to have current and correct info. When u plan to eat in room using microwave for two meals a day and there is no microwave when I get there that is unacceptable. Also If ur rates are lower then ur reservations rate u should honor them booking a room for 140 a nite then renting the same rooms for 99 all week that is not fair and not a great way to get repeat business.

We had the downstairs room at the front of the inn. It was spectacular for the scenery and ambiance. The landscaping and grounds were beautiful. We love being able to open the curtains, or sit outside and overlook the ocean. Our only disappointment was that you could not get coffee until 7am. we are early risers. 4:30am so to wait until 7 was inconvenient to our walks on the beach at daybreak. This will be our place to stay anytime we are in Santa Barbara. We loved it. Quaint. Romantic. Quiet. Comfortable.

Location was terrific and the staff was very friendly. Little refrigerator in room was nice. Nice clean and warm pool.

Walls were thin and so it was noisy at night when people were moving around and visiting. The room smelled a little stale. The price was a little high for the quality of the room.

Great friendly welcome by receptionist. Couldn't do enough, was incredibly helpful. Room was lived in but clean and comfortable. Great location, not bothered that I had no view as I used room for sleeping in not looking outside!! Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Might have been nice to have some fruit...

Lady serving breakfast was a bit gruff, but other than that nothing really. Great place.

The location was great with easy access to wharf and a view of the beach. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. Enjoyed pleasant group balcony area with ocean view.

Looking a bit closer at the offerings in the area after having been there, if I were to do it again, I would have chosen to stay 1 or two blocks in from the beach and paid probably 1/3 to 1/2 less than the price we paid. Rooms were clean, but worn and very outdated. Breakfast choices included chocolate cake and rice crispy treats.....really?? Some fruit, yogurt or whole grain bread would be better instead.

Location! Heated pool.

No a/c, breakfast limited, no microwave or blow dryer in room.

- The rooms are dated - Parking can be a challenge at night - Need to drive to downtown - Needed to request that the pool door locks be latched because I had small children, and the pool area is a walkway to some rooms.

We did really like the location.

I thought the furnishings looked a little tired. The bedspread had a hole in it. The curtains were dirty and the carpet was not very clean.

This was a large room. Closet space was ample. The view was beautiful and I enjoyed the semi-private patio. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. Eric was very helpful when we thought we would be arriving after the office would be closed.

For the money, $200 a night, I thought the mattress was flimsy & the pillows cheap. The carpets showed visible damage & should be replaced.I booked this room well in advance of our stay & saw that rooms were being advertised well below what we paid during our stay. I mentioned this to the on-duty manager upon checking out & he stated he would bring it to the management's attention.

needs a tidy up. Poor breakfast.

Staff were terrific. Even though they lost my booking, they honored my reservation & rate, and made the trip especially memorable for my 12 year old son by putting us in a poolside room. Continental breakfast is very nice, and the lady who serves it (sorry, didn't get her name...) is friendly. Perfect 3 star hotel.

I guess the bedspreads were rather ugly, but I honestly can't remember the last time I was in a hotel room with attractive bedspreads. Can you? But seriously...we had a great time, no problems whatsoever.

Pool, patio, garden and front lawn areas. Location excellent. Ryan on front desk.

No 24 hour reception a discrace! Surly unpleasant woman in breakfast room. Motel type building of poor construction. Way overpriced for what's on offer.

Room were clean and the staff was polite and efficient.

The hotel was older and in need of an update. The room were on the small side and the walls were paper thin. The breakfast offered was a little on the stale side, but they offered to heat up the breads and other food.
