Score from 13 reviews Very good
They took every penny they possibly could, even though I left by 11:30 and agreed to pay for that night anyway, they still added an additional night charge so out of a 650$ 6 night booking, I stayed two nights for 500$. I can't help but feel taken.
Excellent location for SeaWorld and use midway attractions. Reasonably affordable and room was safe and secure.
Parking garage was secure to leave a car. But no accommodations for bicycles. Had to lock my bike to water pipe. And took a chance that it would not be there in the morning . Thankfully it still was. So I guess I lucked out. Front entrance of garage was not in sight of front desk attendant . So anyone could have wandered in from street and steel guests property .
The pub across the street
The wifi never worked. The room was uncomfortable and it smelled.they were working on other rooms and the walkway was inidated with stuff all over the place.
Nothing. The inn was under rehabilitation. My fault for not calling ahead although I have never thought I would need to.
Ice machine out of order No bathtub stopper. Reserved a smoking room, no ashtrays on premises. No heater or hot water during the day. Toiletries in squeeze packs. Stayed 2 days. No Maid service. Asked for clean towels 3 times.
Good location, cheap price
The carpet in the room was dirty, cigarette burns in the shower curtain, room smelled bad, torn lamp shades
Good location and fair price.
The room has strange smell.
The broken tiles in the bathroom that cut my girlfriends foot, the lousy tv and cable, the super slow internet, the ridiculously loud construction that woke me up and kept me up, the creepy construction workers that kept peeking in the room, the surprise "fees" not mentioned till we got there, the parking, the smell, the uncaring staff, the broken ice machine that charged for ice in the first place. Don't waste your money! It was so bad I'm disputing the bill with my credit card company and I'm not picky at all. There are much better hotels for the price.
Location Comfortable Beds Awesome view to the skyline
Unfriendly staff, with bad English knowledge Some rooms have been rebuild / remodeled, so it was noisy and dirty Narrow parking lot Breakfast was served in front of the office. I came 1 hour before it was over and got nothing
The price and location to my needs could not have been better, and could also be very good for anyone wanting to stay in a nice locale. The price reflected an off-season rate, and was also due to renovations in progress. See comments in, "What didn't you like?"
The rooms on the top floor I was on were undergoing major renovation. Some renovation was also started in my room, and the ceramic tiles on the bathroom floor were loose and not bonded down to the subfloor. As a result, they were uncomfortable to stand on and made considerable noise in the room below. This resulted in a complaint to the desk, who in turn called me to advise I was making too much noise.
The location was great if you are going fishing!close to H&M Landing and tons of restaurants within walking distance.
The fist night there was a lot of banging and what sounded like arguing, the place is being renovated and all of the old furniture is outside of the rooms making it a big eye sore. The parking garage was very small with tight parking spaces.
Entire place was torn apart, holes in doors, broken ice machines, etc. Would have just paid $10 bucks and stayed at the Ramada for a cheap place to sleep
It is cheap.
Room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Staff let me evaluate another room, but it smelled as stale as the first, if not worse. At least I was able to leave the window open the whole time.
Nothing!!!!!!i dont recomend this place at all!!!!!
I told them I was not charge to my credit card,as you would pay cash and still did,and the guy at the front desk nothing friendly,THE room stinks horrible!!!! I never stay again. The construction is old. The parking lot small.
No matter what time we haved checked in(sometmes after midnight) the staff are always warm and friendly. The beds are firm(I like it that way) and the rooms spotless. It is 2 minutes away from the San Diego airport so perfect for the night before an early flight stay.
No coffee in the rooms(yet) They are doing some room renovating so I hope the next time we stay I won't have to wait until 7am for my morning coffee fix.
The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated.
Found a white piece in the security box, which was not pleasurable.
Was quiet and parking was underground and off street.
The bathroom door had a huge hole in it covered with paper and scotch tape, The lamp shades were shredded, One lamp was broken with wiring hanging out of it on the left side of the bed.. I payed for a non smoking room that wreaked of cigarrette smoke. Needs a more skilled maintenance staff that can maintain their property and make it the gem it should be.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and didn't smell like mildew, which I have experienced in hotels that costed twice as much.
Parking garage was small, but it wasn't bad.
Danish and coffee in the morning View of the city from the balcony Nearby stores and shoreline Price better than many other hotels
Rock hard bed with no fitted sheet Smelly room Many loose tiles in bathroom Window had no locks Some lights would not work Ice machine that eats money Unreliable WiFi Parking garage perfect size for golf carts
The price... the openers of the court yard and the view of downtown.
The beds, the breakfast and the outdated decor.
The staff was welcoming and extremely helpful. The hotel has everything a traveler needs: hair drier, iron, fridge and microwave in the room, air condition. Nice room, speedy wifi and good news report channels on tv. Breakfast places across the street. I warmly recommend Shelter Island for an evening or morning walk nearby, calm and beautiful.
The hotel is mainly of wood, and the paint smells strange. I know it is "meant to be so", as this kind of old paint smells like that. But I don't like it.
Wonderful value in the heart of the beauty of San Diego. I would definitely stay here again. Friendly and helpful staff; quiet, comfortable room; zero complaints!
Not much outside noise
Very welcoming! Will stay again if ever needed! Thank you!
Location location Location, and wow what a view. The people that work there were very nice.
everything else sheets sucked. tvs were outdated, ice machine was down. this place could rock and I hope it will soon but now its not what it could be.
