Loved the location Price was decent Staff was very very nice Liked the older vintage kind of feel Trying to get a game room type feel in lobby
Ice machine was broken Beds were not very comfortable with plastic sheet room needs two chairs
Close to beach
No ice machine Coffee maker didn't always work Towels were hard not soft
facing beach. If you wish to enjoy it till night and early in the morning.. Cafe for breakfast right next to hotel.
Not very comfy, spacious. Can be noisy in the night. Some homless were around.
Good Location near by beach...You can walk to Santa Monica by Front walk road. Nice Rooms... Moissis..in reception was very funny....
Homeless in front of the Hotel....
Cleaniness, mainteinance. The room was badly smelling, carpet stained and very dusty, sockets were falling apart. Sofas in lounge very dirty.
The hotel was more like an overpriced youth hostel. Our room smelt like "dog" and the carpet was dirty. There were no amenities in the room such as coffee maker. The coffee machine the lobby you had to pay for. Outside the hotel at night there were many homeless people sleeping. We asked to pay for a late checkout on our last day as our flight was in the evening, we were told we would have to pay for another night. I have never experienced this anywhere else
It's clean, staff were really friendly and helpful and whilst the location is a bit dodgy it is brilliant being right on Venice Beach.
Homeless people do all sleep out front of the hotel and it doesn't feel safe in this area at night.
Right at the Beach
Homeless People at the Gate Criminalm Neihborhood
Close to beach. Price was decent. Clean.
Lots of homeless lying about, although they didn't approach or bother us. Parking was precarious, but appreciated it was available (for a fee, of course)
This hotel provides beds right next to the beach and that is more or less all you get.
However, these beds are way overpriced and in some distance from Santa Monica (one mile up the coast) which is where you really want to stay. Here is beach too but also shops and restaurants.
This facility was super filthy. The white leather couch in the lobby looked grey. Even the elevator was dirty. I didn't feel safe there. There were at least 20 homeless men sleeping in front if the building and parking was around the corner. Didn't feel safe at all.
The location of the Cadillac was superb - virtually on the beach and close to the Venice Beach Boardwalk. The staff were fantastic - couldn't do enough for us The availability of free hot drinks was an unexpected bonus
I thought that, having booked some time in advance, they could have put our two rooms closer together - or even adjacent - especially as we had requested this
Location, free *working* and fast wifi (only place in America we stayed which had all 3!), friendly and helpful staff
There are some strange characters outside of the hotel at night and surrounds but this is expected for Venice at night. I, and I am sure the hotel, would advise you not to be exploring Venice at night time.
Great location Reasonable rate
No a/c, have to keep windows open and very loud, bums everywhere
perfect location, and helpfull staf.
hotel is pet's friendly but some people are so supid and live dog's for couple of hours in the room human are most stupid creacher in the world!!
It was all about ambiance. Being able to open the window and heat the bongo band on the beach. I read a lot of negative comments about noise, but I loved this kind of noise... if you don't take things too seriously, you'll live this location.
Bed was old, hard, uneven.
Dirty carpets, brown stains everywhere. Burnt holes in the carpet. View of ocean online needs to include all the homeless people camped out in front of this hotel. Hallways smelled of smoke and weed. Broken shower door. Ceiling fans barely rotated. Cable was static the whole time.
I liked the history of the building. And the bathrooms looked brand new! Really nice.
The beds were uncomfortable. And the elevator felt unsafe.
Firstly, the staff were just excellent. They made our stay very comfortable. They were very helpful, Let us check in early and their knowledge of the area was perfect. They even told us how to get to the airport for a dollar on the bus. The room was very clean and comfortable. Don't forget about the rooftop for some amazing views. You can hire bikes from the hotel and the free wifi was excellent. Also there is free internet and printing in the lobby. The location was excellent, right at the start of the boardwalk and only a 5 min ride to the santa monica pier. The room was very quiet and the price was excellent for the location and quality. Close to restaurants and right on the beach...
That I didn't stay longer...
Close to ocean
Too humid in room
The ocean views were amazing! Especially from the rooftop deck. The man at the front desk was very funny and made us feel welcomed and happy to be there. Venice Beach is fabulous!
Maybe a pad on top of the mattress could have helped but overall ok.
The staff were very friendly! and very helpful!
The room was a little small. Pitty the homeless are right on the door step.
Very comfortable and clean. I would recommend it if interested to be right by Venice Beach.
Venice beach itself is very uninteresting.
Clean and newly remodeled rooms were awesome. The staff went above and beyond and have excellent customer service
Parking is a nightmare
We liked the place we are dinner at... That's about it.
Horrible location, no air conditioning, none of the windows have screens on them and when you keep them open to cool the room down, it is way too noisy to sleep (we could even hear the baby in the next building crying, which was better then hearing all the people yelling on the street), carpets stained, light bulbs needed replaced, broken fixtures, reeked of bleach... But at least we knew it was cleaned, I think! The fourth floor smelt like someone had been smoking weed, the front desk person was not friendly when we checked in, but one when we checked out was much better, actually smile and talked with us.
