The staff was always happy and friendly.
The beds need updated. Pillows were uncomfortable.
We like staying downtown and the location was easy to get to. Staff was very nice. Unexpected refrigerator in the room. The room was nicer than I expected. Interesting place that caters to a mostly Asian clientele.
Black hairs on the bed. I am blonde. Plantation shutter broken so couldn't block the light. Extremely tight slots. Hallways are dingy and smelly. $9.99 wifi fee per day, per device. Room service only available 6:45-11:30 am. Took an hour to get a bagel and coffee. It was only in the upper 70's and I set the air on 64 (lowest it would go) and it never got cool. I was sweating the entire time. Wouldn't stay here in the summer. Crazy hour long wait in line at the cafe in the wee hours of the morning. When we were finally seated, more than half the place was empty!
The ice cream place, bridge to Main Street Station, distance to the gym.
Rude dealer. Just no interaction with players and snapped at us when he was telling us something that contradicted with 'the book'. If he was that good a player he wouldn't be a dealer.
Upon check in, was given an incredible room. I'm sure it was an upgrade, but makes me want to stay at the CAL again!
It was an okay place to sleep and shower.
The toilet did not work in the first room; a new room fixed this. Cellular service (Sprint and AT&T) was terrible in both rooms. WiFi was $9.95 per device per day, way too expensive. Couldn't help but wonder if cellular was jammed so you would pay for wifi.
No free wifi!
Wonderful hotel, great location in the "old down town " Rockin' night life ! NOT creepy like the Strip is ! I never knew I could actually enjoy Vegas "til I stayed here !
Handing them back their room keys
Old people rejoice you can wear rayon shirts and take a trip back with a busted room with a led tv. So I'm supposed to be too high to notice the state of the room???? Or is it that Vegas has had it. A dead town with ghost rooms from the 80s.
For once in a long time the room was relatively clean compare to previous hotel stay.
The bed was hard and made noises when you laid down.
Didn't particularly like the location but it was not too bad.
the free buffet was not bad, actually better than many.
The night staff was rude and not very helpful. they put is in a smoking room with two beds when we requested and clarified that it was a non-smoking, king. Sooo, we had to pack up and move.
Room was quiet. Bed was comfortable and clean. Daily cleaning could have been a bit better in bathroom. Restock Coffee.
descent size room and free breakfast buffet.
Bathtub does not drain well when taking a shower. No free wifi.
After reading reviews I was nervous to see what we were getting. The staff was helpful when we first arrived. We went straught to the room to make sure it all checked out. We were relived that the room was clean and did not smell of smoke. It was a great location being able to stay away from all the noise. We took buses to travel to the strip and back. It was a great stay.
what attracted us to the hotel was the shuttle service they provided but it didn't work to our convince and stopped running early. We needed to buy a bus pass to do everything we wanted in the time we needed. For free shuttle advertise, disappointed with what it really was
WOW!!! Upgraded to a wonderful TOP FLOOR PENTHOUSE SUITE for my very first night in Vegas, can't ask for more than that!!! Minutes away from the Fremont Street Experience too!! Perfect!
I like everything at California hotel especially the room
Maybe next time a better price range
Like that I can walk over to Main Street Station on overpass. Like that your not right on Fremont St. and have to listen to the rock band play till 2:00 AM in the room
Rubbed the Budda's belly by the elevator for good luck. Didn't work
The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very professional and kind.
The room we stayed in was a bit dirty. The bathroom had hair all over the walls and the shower curtain was very torn up. It was difficult to shower without getting water everywhere.
Only 1 clerk at check-in, wait time was not acceptable
Always clean , the food good.
The place and the facilities could use an upgrade.
Food choices and location.
The bed was very comfortable
Food selection was outstanding.
Dinner buffet at Main Street wasn't as good as I had hoped.
Room was clean and comfortable - providing good value.
Casino was thick with cigarrette smoke. Staff was less than motivated to assist. Food was of the greasy grill variety.
Clean, cosy and nice old style hotel. Buffet in Main St Station is very good (breakfast was included). Location is perfect for us: a block from Freemont st and bus stop to go to Strip by SDX bus ($8 day pass, $20 3 day pass) or to Strip and LAS airport WAX,CX !! ($5 day pass).
May be noisy in room (freeway and trains). We found no better place (price and quality) to eat on Freemont than in Main Steet Station Buffet)!
