Clean sheets, plenty of pillows, great location but not much more.
Not even a coffee maker in the room. Don't come here if you are looking for amenities, there are few. Also the staff commandeers the elevator during cleaning so we had to climb up and down the four flights of stairs with our luggage on both arrival and departure.
Location and price.
Slow elevators and compact rooms.
Maybe the proximity of the Harvard University allows to charge overrated prices. No chance to have a decent breakfast.
Faucet was broken
Trendy room with a window that opened for ventilation. Great location in Harvard Square. Tea and coffee in reception was free to guests. Friendly staff. Very convenient parking below hotel
Housekeeping staff are used to business guests departing early so will knock the door. Make sure you use privacy notice if you want to sleep in.
located right in the square
very expensive on the dates we needed. more reasonable on other dates.
My daughter can walk to the hotel from her dorm in minutes. Right in Harvard Square. Staff is very nice Nd accommodating
The location in the heart of Harvard Square was the reason I booked this room.
The atmosphere reminded me of a dormitory. The toiletries were cheap. I paid 350-450/night for Bath and Body works?! The windows were not soundproofed well, so bring earplugs if you plan to sleep. The tabletop ironing board and mineral-crusted, rusting iron were not useable for the purpose of ironing my suit...
Location for visiting Harvard
Wifi was slow and kept dropping out.
It had everything we wanted for our five-night stay ...located on Harvard Square, a few minutes from the subway, lots of eating places of every sort, comfortable, pleasantly furnished room and every member of staff was helpful and friendly. We totally recommend it.
Waling distance to Harvard Uni and metro station to Boston City..
Tired building redecorated on the cheap. Expensive parking.
I stayed two nights, it cost me almost USD800, but the room facility is normal and bed cloth is poor, the room also have unpleasant smell.
Refreshing room design Location staff
No coffee maker in room Had to pay for parking
The location was perfect for our research trip to Harvard. Easy walk to library, Starbucks on the way, and excellent restaurants across the street.
Convenient (though expensive) parking. Pleasant staff. Excellent location for visiting Harvard.
Towels weren't very plush and room/bathroom were small.
The staff was courteous, friendly and efficient. Bed was comfy. Everything was very clean - and we couldn't smell any cleaning products, which was nice because we're both sensitive to the perfumes in them. Snappy wi-fi. Location was perfect for us, right across the street from the wedding reception we were attending, and anyone who likes early morning walks will get a treat from all the old Harvard University buildings in that area.
It may seem like a little thing, but the bathrooms do not have fans. The rooms are small, so any sound you make in the bathroom carries. The desk area is adjacent to that door. It's not an issue if you're single, or if you're in a long-term relationship and/or good-natured about bathroom noise. Also, the hotel shares its parking lot with a Thrifty car rental, and when we drove up there was a bit of confusion as to whether or not there was valet parking because the Thrifty person was taking and parking cars. So don't sit there waiting for somebody to park your car, because it's all you. Also, the lot and its corners will be very tight for anyone with large vehicles (but it's Boston, so if you show up with a F-250 no one will be very sympathetic).
Great location, comfortable bed.
Terrible wifi bandwidth, lack of drink making facilities in room, very loud aircon that wakes you up at night. Staff did not enquire if I had had a good stay. Never a good sign. For $250 plus per night I would expect better
No facils,no kettle/cups etc in room. No cheaper single rooms.
I really liked this hotel, specially for the price paid. The rooms are regular size, so is the bathroom. Confortable beds and pillows. Great complimentary wi-fi
Towels are small and shower drops little water, those are details but were the only downside in my opinion.
Staff deserves compliments for doing their best to salvage what was a tough situation beyond their control. They reinstated our confidence in the hotel and we would stay there again thanks to them. Hotel is actually quite nice.
Wifi didn't work in our first room. Elevator was being repaired.
lack of a bar, staff not well informed on local amenities, room $$ for amenities lacking
Hotel in good location in centre of town near all transport means and eat outs. Excellent mix of students and working class. Good atmosphere!
Small or non-existent reception area!
location price for location safe in room morning coffee in the lobby
Humid room-even with ac on, even during dry days. Hot water becoming cold during shower. Didn't feel safe with the staircase and main hotel side door not locked at all.
