Good location, very nice room 1201 (thanks for the upgrade) Food, best room service food in many years of travel.

Hotel had a more personable feeling about it - some of the larger hotels are so impersonal. Staff were extremely friendly and greeted you upon arrival and departure. Staff were very responsive. The location is extremely good - quiet and within walking distance to many of the tourist sites. Overall had an excellent stay at Taj and would like to thank the staff for excellent service.

Comfortable, quiet room and friendly staff. Very helpful with recommendations on popular restaurants and points of interest. Town car was made available for city traveling.

The first room we were sent to was not up to our standards; however, we were moved to a very nice room at no additional charges without making us feel uncomfortable for the complaint.

Dining room breakfast menu has not changed in at least 5 years. Although I specified quiet room, I was on 16th floor (good) next to elevator (bad noise).

The mini bar was never refilled. Had to call and ask for diet cokes and coffee. They only brought one diet coke. Onone day we left early about 8:30 am and retired around 3:30pm. The room had not been cleaned

Room was a bit on the small side. Otherwise everything was lovely.

My only complaint is that your croissants are not as they should be. I think that everything served in a first rate hotel should be first rate.( I understand that the croissants made by your previous supplier were far better than those we were served. )

The beds are amazingly comfy!

The room was very comfortable with plenty of drawer and closet space. I was on a high floor with a view of Union Square--comfortable bed, great lighting, fabulous soaking bathtub.

The in-room Nespresso coffee machine didn't work. Annoying because I really wanted that cup of coffee in the morning. The Japanese breakfast through room service was just ok--not what you'd expect from a hotel that boasts a Michelin one star restaurant.

The lobby is not as elegant as the rest of the hotel.

Every single staff member I encountered, whether it was a doorperson, concierge, desk clerk or housekeeper, was extremely polite and genuinely nice and friendly. Loved the huge bathroom and took as many baths as possible in the wonderful soaking tub...excellent bath products as well!

A minor complaint but the fitness room was bare minimal, and one of the pieces of equipment was broken.

Perfect location, rooms ok. Porters and doorman efficient, cheerful and knowledgeable.

Tried to "downgrade" us to a practically windowless small room next to loud elevator shaft. Rest of hotel's staff fairly indifferent.

The hotel needs a refurbishment not a make up. Compared to similar rate and facility hotels, it looks old but not in an elegant way.

Continuous food smell at the entrance due to the restaurant located right gehind the entrance and open air fitness room which is impossible to use when the weather is cold.

Superb bed and pillows. Great a/c, lcd tv, shower, towels and high quality amenities. Excellent location, next to Union Square, its great stores and Chinatown. Good minibar. Doorman and bellboy extremely polite.

I didn't like the recepcionist who made our check in. She denied an early check in to my wife and 2 toears old daughter at 14 o'clock, while I was away. She said the room would be ready only at 16 o'clock, but the regular check in hour is 15 o'clock. When I arrived at the hotel, at 16 o'clock, this recepcionist was not working anymore and I talked to a colleague, who apologized and gave us the room immediately. But I had the worst impression with the bad mannered recepcionist who denied the room. She is the only recepcionist in the morning shift who doesn't wear a badge with her name. So curious... And the wifi internet is very slow and they charge us$ 12,50 per use/day.
