The price and the fact there was a room available
I had no idea it was a student apartment facility being used as a hotel in the college off season. That should be relayed to future bookings. The mattress was very uncomfortable.
The main purpose of our trip was to visit the Finger Lakes area. The Campus Gate visit was definitely a good experience. We got a good value for our money.
No bad experiences
location, easy to find, triplet room - excellent find!!, reasonable cost and not crowded, roomy
room was cold and damp feeling, not enough blankets, looked abandoned when we arrived
Lots of room and storage space, close access to Walmart and restaurants, full kitchen (if you happened to pack pots and pans), laundry room with more than one washer/dryer.
Couldn't get wifi to work, no carpet - feet cold in summer, skimpy on blankets and towels, smelly air, beds uncomfortable.
Shower stalls had lip that was too small - water came out on the floor. Tripping hazard going into room - other rooms on the floor had level thresholds to room. Mine and room next door didn't. Parking lot just gravel - not paved in most places. Curb height excessive - very BIG tripping hazard!!
Excellent front desk service! ! Very clean hotel with a reasonable price. Convenient from the CANNADAIGUA lady & local restaurant.
No hair dryer provided.
business center, staff assistance
Mattress too hard.
The people were very, very friendly.
There was no window or air conditioning vent in the spare bedroom. People were outside partying til very late. The beds were very uncomfortable.there were no extra pillows. The whole place needs to be updated.
Everything was very nice, convenient,comfortable.
Nothing I did not like.
Location, because we had business at FLCC, right across the street.
The bed was very uncomfortable, and I had an allergic reaction to something, perhaps the cleaning products used. I really did not sleep. Only one sink, used for bath and kitchen needs.
I like the design of the hotel and my room. The guy at the reception was very friendly.
There was no light at my bed.
Upon entering the room I walked into a cob web. The bed was oddly raised up on five posts about four feet high. No carpeting produced an echo environment. The accommodation was spartan and not worth half the "deal" I paid. This was the most strange room I've ever stayed in.
Triple room was great for family
Staff were very accomodating and helpful. Having dishes loaned to us was very nice since we were traveling from several thousand miles away. Having a full size fridge was wonderful. Room was clean. It is a dorm type setting.
Moldy smell in hall way. we stayed for 16 nights and paid quite a bit of money. Parking lot could become quite messy when it rained, which it did.
We loved the location for the concert we attended. Staff was nice.
Our room was not clean, it smelled really bad and the beds/bedding was so uncomfortable!
Across street from concert
How close it was to CMAC
It was spacious, clean, good location, good for people who are staying more than one night because of the kitchenette space
Because its a dorm the room amenities aren't really there - the bedding and comfort of the room was lower quality
The 2" thick mattress on a 2x4 frame. These are dorm rooms during the school year even though the place looks like a hotel. I was exhausted and didn't want to take the time to look for another place to stay. It was clean and had a fridge, and I was just happy to get some sleep as I had been up for 36hrs straight.
The location was perfect for everything that we wanted to do in Canandaigua and for an affordable cost. The hotel is just down the street (5-minutes walking) from the CMAC if you want to check out a concert there.
We continuously had problems with the swipe-access cards for entering our room and the entrance doors of the hotel - our cards got deactivated each day during our stay and we had to go back to the reception desk each time to get them reactivated.
Nice size room. Nice size kitchenette. Close to downtown where we were working. Courteous staff. Beds were a little awkwardly high, and mattresses designed to withstand abuse, not as comfortable as we are accustomed to. Altogether not too uncomfortable - no back pain after two nights. We laughed about it, and enjoyed working and staying in this town.
Kitchenette was not equipped to cook anything. Bring cookware if you are planning on using the kitchenette.
An excellent place to stay if going to a CMAC concert. Very short walk to the venue. Also good value for the money for other travelers. Clean, comfortable and secure. We didn't need it, but a fully equipped kitchen, full size refrigerator and a microwave.
No in room coffee maker.
Good location for visiting family. Staff very friendly. Spotlessly clean. Very quiet.
Bed was a bit hard and high off the floor. (It is a dorm room so that explains the height.) My mistake for not making reservation earlier, so we got a double bed which was a tight squeeze for people accustomed to a king.
Staff were great. My son was recruited from Hobart and staff was interested caring and accommodating the next day for him to shower after a intense day with Hobart university!! Thank YOU!
