Clean, quite, nice staff, nice place to live for vacation. Accessible to train going to NY.
On our 2nd night (out of 3 nights), AC broke and we have to sleep in at 6th floor from 8th floor. Another thing, on our last day, we were lock-out of our room as early as 11:00am though they confirmed that the check-out is at 12:oonn.
1. Location was great. 500 m awy from Exchange Place or Newport Path Station. Very safe neighborhood day and night. 2. Very friendly and helpful staff. 3. Free internet station. 4. Great views of Manhattan.
They clean the room/suites once in a week.
great price, great location
wish there was a pool
Clean room Excellent Staff Good Location Kitchen facilities On site facilities
Uncomfortable sofa bed
Location was a short walking distance to a spectacular view of NYC across the Hudson. Hotel is reasonably priced, and $10 parking as well, as well as the ability to park on the street (with meters). Full size refrigerator, bathroom that can handle two people.
We couldn't get a cot for our adult child to sleep in our room. She had to sleep on the floor.
Close to NYC. Very safe at all times of night. Great price
-Free laundry access -the Honor Store -comfortable bed -the entire room set up -quietness from the hallway traffic -the ability to not have housekeeping every single day
-The fact no one told us there was construction going on right outside our window that woke us up early every single morning! And it was LOUD! That was rude to book us KNOWING the construction was going on. -There was a water main break and was NOT notified AT all. It wasn't until we called the front desk that evening to ask why our water was dirty that we found out that we shouldn't be drinking the water! They never offered any kind of bottled water for us to drink while this inconvenience was going on. Then the next morning I called the front desk to ask if we could resume drinking the water and they said no. Again, NO NOTICE. At all. We had no idea we couldn't and we both drank a large glass of water upon our return to the hotel the evening of the break. I was FURIOUS. The front desk clerk said we could bring down our pitchers and retrieve water from their gym area. But this wasn't until I had called that next morning asking if it was safe to drink the water yet! This ruined our trip at Candlewood Suites. We left a day early because of this inconvenience. VERY disappointed.
Everything good nothing complain
Front desk were nice and polite and helpful with directions when I asked
Couldn't get wi fi in room
Spacious and clean room
It was not a big deal to me that this hotel had no room service, no daily house keeping service. I was just unlucky that I had to move 2 times in 3 days and that as a result had to leave the hotel without a choice. First room had an A/C leak. The second room had ants all over the floor. Regardless of these inconveniences, I still decided to stay at this hotel because I liked the spacious room and its kitchen anyway. Day 5, internet was shut down for unknown reason. I called the front desk and the person who answered the phone suggested that I move again. Funny thing is that she said that she could not guarantee internet service whatever room I would move in. I told her that it made no sense to move again when internet connection was unsteady, plus 3 times of moving in 5 days is a little too much when I travel with 6 suitcases. The worst thing was that I still had to deal with someone with the most disrespectful attitude when already disturbed by the inconveniences. In this hotel most issues do not lie with the rooms but with some of the front desk staff for sure.
Helpful and friendly staff. Very clean. Will stay there again.
Cleanliness Friendliness The size of the Suite :) Parking on site - real bonus Convenience to downtown Jersey City and to Manhattan the sites and city skyline Convenience to eateries sites and travel
The water does not get hot enough in the shower Ants from the outside The secured parking exit gates did not always work. No pool
The area in which it was located, close to shops, beautiful view of the Hudson.
No maid service if you stay less than 7 days, found the store in the hotel to be on the pricey side.
Faucet was leaky and the air ran constently.
Close to PATH to Manhattan
Odor of the AC
Does not worth the price, super expensive for a room which smells like an ashtray, even though it was a non smoking room.... On the other hand there is construction going on next to the hotel, which was not told, therefore it was impossible to find some rest after 7.30 am.... Staff is unfriendly
The rooms were clean and modern. The view and location were great. And the rate was excellent, great value.
The toiletries only included shampoo/conditioner and one bar each of face and bath soap, Our ice maker in our room was broken.
When you checkin , they do a hold on your card, half way thru your stay, they charge your card, then they put another hold on your card for the remaining balance, even before the first hold is taken off .., therefore it creates problems with the bank.
confort, clean, kindness, so nice.
The microwave was out order.
It had everything we needed including easier access to Liberty Park to board the ferry to the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island. It wasn't as crowded as the ferry on the Manhattan side. Lots of positives!
honestly can't think of anything
Great view on Hudson (not from hotel's windows though) Short commute to Manhattan Large rooms
No restaurants in the neighbourhood In a room on ground floor, curtains are transparent. No privacy at all.
Very clean, well priced suite. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.
The air conditioning in our room was very loud and kept me from getting a good night's sleep. I definitely think it needs to be replaced with something quieter.
For the price the accommodations were decent.
Great service and view. Great room
Room was not serviced when we left out. No new towels or anything .
