Really nice motel, friendly staff, good location.
The first night the traffic kept me awake and the owner was out chatting to people loudly at my door at like 1/2am. Second night was great so I'm assuming it was a one off.
The owners are so helpful, when you leave you feel like family--also good bkfst for a motel....
Beds are excellent Came and stated second night.
Cool Route 66 art decor. No train noise, a big plus for Flagstsff!
The Motel is directly across from the NAU campus. There are places to eat within walking distance and a great Organic/Whole Foods grocer directly behind Rooms are clean and Continental Breakfast was pretty good If you are a pretentious entitled twit, this is not the place for you. Go across the street and pay $189/night - leave this little gem to those of us who appreciate good value
Traffic can be bad at times making it difficult to get in and out of property, but that isn't the Motel's fault
If you like large chain hotels, this isn't for you. If you like traditional drive up motels and a fabulous breakfast, don't miss this one.
Clean, fair price, close to restaurants and campus.
Very close to road and accompanying noise.
The Canyon Inn is located right on Route 66 so it was great for us since we were doing the "Route 66 Tour". We were within walking distance to several eateries and bars and location was near to the campus. Breakfast was fantastic with homemade biscuits and sausage gravy, not the stuff you get in the chain motels. If going that way again I would stay there one more time.
Absolutely horrible WiFi.
Breakfast was good.
Wifi too slow....can't connect.
The very warm welcome at the reception. Breakfast included some freshly made bakery products. Very good sound insulation
Close to downtown
Owners increased price over bookings.com reservation and then acted incredulous when I brought it up. After 10 uncomfortable minutes of them telling me to go somewhere else if I thought I could do better they refunded me the overcharge. Also road noise is very bad.
The owners were very friendly to myself and my mother, who was traveling with me to drop my daughter off for her Fresman year at NAU.
They need to mark the parking spots with numbers that coincide with the room numbers. We came back late one night and didn't have a parking spot. They told us if that happened again, just to park under the awning. Very nice people, just need a solution to the limited parking spots to make sure guests have a place to park.
For the price, this was an ok place to spend the weekend. The owner/manager was one of the nicest people I've ever met, and that really influenced my opinion of this hotel in a positive way. Good location to walk into town, and my son enjoyed the free breakfast.
Not the cleanest, not a lot of extra space, and the saddest towels I've ever seen. We bought earplugs for sleeping due to loud road noise.
staff is friendly, room very clean and has been updated nicely (furniture ans bathroom)
the street is in reality the 89 so bit noisy from the street but quiet between rooms
Overall, we had a good experience. It fit our needs of being clean and having a decent bed. For us, it was more about the location and visiting Flagstaff. * Friendly, funny staff(the Flagstaff vibe) *Great location for going downtown and visiting attractions *Clean and partially renovated (shower could use an upgrade) * Reasonably priced
* Inadequate parking when fully booked * No gluten free options for breakfast (however, Flagstaff has amazing breakfast/food options throughout the city)
Great value and on route 66. Within easy reach of the Grand Canyon. And I loved the retro look.
No coffee machine in the room and the breakfast was served in the small reception area. But the breakfast was good.
Does the job well of providing a bed for the night. Clean, fairly comfortable and cheap
drunk and agressive staff at checkin. Be prepared.
the Attitude of the staff, mold in the bathroom tub, mattress was too thin, with a board under it to hold it up.
Biscuits and gravy good, but not much room to eat.
Bad experience at check in. Cost was $22.09 higher than Booking.com rate. Took long time to resolve
Close to campus. Clean. VERY friendly owner and staff. Will book again.
Bathroom door didn't close all the way. Loud street traffic.
Classic Motel layout - just as expected. Friendly service from reception on check in and at breakfast. Breakfast was very good - home cooked biscuits and sausage and gravy and a variety of the usual fayre. Room was well decorated and had excellent bathroom facilities. Room included TV, fridge and microwave.
My girlfriend had a medical emergency while we were at the hotel. We were unable to leave the following day due to her condition. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and helped us the following night. I couldn't ask for more!
Milton road is noisy, it comes with the location. .. the towels were dingy, but everything else about the property was very clean and well kept.
Convenient location, wasn't too noisy.
they have done a partial remodel but they need to get new mattresses and towels. the shower head was so low you had to really bend down to wash your hair.
the owners couldn't do enough the room was close to all shops the site was easy to get to
The room and beds were very comfortable, especially for what we paid for! Excellent value. We arrived at Flagstaff around midnight since we were traveling on the Southwest Chief train and it was running late. We were originally booked at their sister property but when I tried calling to let them know of the late check in, there was no answer at the front desk. Worried that we wouldn't have a place to sleep, I called booking.com's 800 # from the train. They reached the owner of the hotel at home and were able to accommodate us at Super 8 which they also own. Glad I had booked with Booking.com!
