Fully equipped and roomy apartment
We liked having kitchen amenities to use for breakfasts at least. There were also laundry facilities very close which we used. There were plenty of dining options in Tusayan & we also ate at the Grand Plaza's main dining room which we enjoyed.
The studio apartments were quite a distance from the main hotel & you would definitely need a car to get anywhere.
Laundry room really helpful, and the rooms were very comfortable, large and clean. Staff were clearly very busy, but were friendly and helpful.
Tusayan itself is uninspiring - the only shop we could find that sold groceries had a very limited selection of overpriced items, which made it difficult to put together a self-catered dinner.
the distance of the apartments from main resort
Quiet position but still close to amenities.
Unlit road to apts.
a practical location to explore the grand canyon from, plenty of room for a family, great for a one night stop
a little too practical for my liking, very touristy, lots of comings and goings all day and night
Tusayan wouldn't be my first choice, that would be GC village but can't complain about the studios or service.
Prefer to stay in GC village.
Not a lot
We actually had to have someone drive us to the apt...there were no signs,it was dark...very frustrating...no phone in room, tv did not work no instructions on which remote to use. Etc...no silverware
Friendly staff, good facilities full size fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, good size room with balcony.
Thin walls could hear others talking even.Quite a distance from main building, have to drive.
Convenient to Grand Canyon and local stores.
TV...few channels I wanted AC much too loud Refrigerator also too loud "kitchen" took up so much room there was no space for a comfortable chair maid took the toilet paper away...lucky we found spare roll Table on balcony took up space so you couldn't sit
Recent, large room, and all kitchen equipment
No noise insulation between the room, and even between rooms and entrance corridor. Very noisy when people in other rooms cook, or even walk in their room.
Cleanliness and comfort. Guest laundry.
Difficult to find the street if checking in late at night.
We liked having a studio appt. where we had a kitchen & could prepare breakfast for ourselves.
It was too far to walk to eateries etc so needed to drive always.
Facilities and space Comfort and ease of access to Airport (for Helicopter) and Grand Canyon
Noisy ans inconsiderate neighbours
The feeling of being " home away from home"
Location of studio facing local rd; balcony of no use; poor staged kitchen - just one wine glass, etc; overpriced hotel restaurant - heavy breakfast for $ 14 , not including tax and tips, no options for lighter fair; very overpriced and incorrectly advertised place - for $200 plus tax u can do better.
EVERYTHING, we all agreed we could have easily stayed a week. We WILL return. Ideal base for exploring the area.
There was nothing not to like, it's a little bit away from the hotel but that was fine for us.
Very odd check in. After we checked in, we followed the front desk person in their car for almost 1/2 mile to the apartment / hotel. Everything else was ok.
Unhelpful and surly staff, unpleasant comportment, poor signage, useless fitness room with only two machines, overcharged hotel rate, stupid note about towels for sale at silly prices, we are not all thieves!,
A good location to visit Grand Canyon. Clean and comfortable room.
Very close to the entrance of Grand Canyon, quiet, clean
Slept really well.
Room was a little remote.
The quiet, the new, clean and spacious room and the small balcony. The place is 15 minutes by car to the Grand Canyon visitors center, and they sell park permits.
The structure itself is a "dependance" to the Canyon Plaza Resort Hotel, so all the amenities and check-in/check out are located there. This proves a bit inconvenient, as taking the car to get to the pool is not really an option in my view.
The television was broken and it took the staff over an hour to fix it, meantime we were tired and went to bed. The bed was horrible, I would never stay here again.
Very comfortable apartment!
