Naerby home for a convenient gettaway
A low / low end motel experience. Clean, but pre 50's.
Very clean with new bathroom fixtures. Across the four-lane PCH from the beach. Carport parking.
Thin walls. There were two packs of coffee but no in-room coffee maker. By 6:30 AM, there was still no breakfast put out and the office was locked. The ocean view is limited unless you get a second-floor balcony.
This little hideaway is the perfect spot to lay low in San Juan Capistrano. A quaint and lovely little cottage awaits; the ocean is directly across the street. The staff are amazing.
Clean and pretty quiet. Location. Was what I needed
Old building. Dune blocking view of water from downstairs. Easy going though.
Nothing about this place was likeable.
The property is trashy, unkempt and definitely NOT romantic, as described. Trains roar by five times an hour; the pretty pictures don't show the rusted, corroded fixtures; the vegetation is dead or dying; the mattresses were horrible; the window screens filthy.
Towels in bathroom. No telephone. No decorations. No hangers. Ran out of bagels.
clean, nice shower
old, looked old, really needed paint, rooms almost bare, not breakfast, just cont. breakfast
Staff were okay. Lots of foliage outside. Good access to beach.
Very tired building. No hangers, no hairdryer, no room cleanup, until we asked for it. I use Booking.com and always know the place will be fine. But this was the one exception. I would never say this hotel is pleasant. I would say fair and paid too much for such room and service.
Location. Across the street from the beach.
Minimal decor in room. Very old hotel but some rooms were remodeled.
Comfortable and surprisingly quiet accommodations. We were afraid our sleep might be interrupted by the frequent Amtrak trains but were pleased to enjoy a very restful overnight stay.
Somewhat noisy next to highway and train tracks
the location with easy access to the beach
Wi-fi did not work Breakfast was NOT acceptable (milk out of code and a toaster with no bread, warm juice) Bathroom shower faucet fell off and toilet did not flush unless held down Upon check-in, the front desk area was dirty and unorganized. The property itself on the outside was very trashy and not kept up or maintained. No clock/alarm or telephone.
Location San Clemente, only hotel in the area that was vacant for that night.
Grounds were dirty and not well kept, room was horrible. Just a really bad experience. The whole facility was a nightmare
this funky, beachy motel was charming. I was perfectly at home and very comfortable.
Liked the proximity to ocean and view and the walking path to cross the street and the friendly housekeeping lady. The grounds have a nice tropical feel to them.
Front desk people not very friendly, buildings and furnishings look run down and in need of some serious TLC. The property has great potential to be a beautiful seaside motel, but the owners need to invest a little time and money.
that toilet seat was broken the telephone did not workand they did not fix it after I told them it did not work the service was overall poor. the bed moved around the floor. the handle pulled off the shower very easily and lastly the coffeepot leaked.
The picture in the add was very deceptive. I was expecting an upstairs room with a balcony overlooking the beach. Shabby rooms, ground level, door that didn't close properly, very old, bare minimal & poor quality amenities. I knew the price was cheap but expected better than this. Breakfast area was a joke.
Broken toilet seat, smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling, TV controller did not work, worn out blankets and hard bed. Noisey, dirty un-kept grounds, the ceiling in the carport was falling in. The manager would not let me cancel my next 2 nights after my first miserable night. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Although a bit rudimentary, everything was clean and worked.
Bed and pillows could be improved.
For the price and location, this place was perfect! The rooms are very clean and the private patios were great. Easy walk to the beach and perfect view from patio. The outside physical condition is a little run down but it's clear the owners keep good care of the guests. Totally will stay there again, very peaceful!
The landscaping and beach classic style
Location, Location, Location.
It was right across from the beach.
It was very old. Twenty years ago it would have a nice place. The lobby door was locked in the morning. The "included" breakfast from what I could see though the window was a couple of boxes of cereal and a few pastries from the corner store. The patio furniture was rusting to the point that the next person who sat in the chairs may find themselves on the ground.
Very old, very run down. Needs updating.
