I booked this hotel as it appears excellent in many rankings. The truth is however different. The toilett did not work. We told that to reception, said fixed, but still the same issue. Rooms need renewal and breakfast is not good at all. If you can avoid this hotel. It is also more expensive than the average. Not a good experience at all.

The hotel was convenient to the attractions that we were interested in and was within easy walking distance. The personnel were friendly and helpful.

Parking was at a premium and located on a narrow street. Just to disembark with luggage was tricky.

Conveniently located for sightseeing.

I like the area, easy access to transportation.

The room we were in was on the backside of the hotel and there were some rather rowdy folks in the alley.

Staff was amazing. Very friendly & helpful. Location was great. Many restaurants within walking distance. Neighborhood was quant and safe. Perfect for my family.

I loved every thing about this hotel---staff were freindly and knowledgable, rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location was ideal just off the main streets in DC, easy access to every think. The price was very good, not for what you got but just very good. I love this little hotel. I am really upset at some fools who write a bad review for no reason. This is a wonderful place to stay in a very quaint part of Capital Hill. I never right reviews unless I am blown away and this hotel blew me away. These are suites not hotel rooms---they have small kitchens :) we were able to purchase food and eat in comfort, you are provided with plates, spoons knives, all the amenities of home. Wonderful show and they provide a luxary robe. Stay here don't stay here that is your choice---you will miss out on one of DC's little gems.

Superb location for sight-seeing and visiting places of great interest. Staff very friendly and keen to assist. Breakfast much appreciated. Plenty of room space for luggage, clothes etc.

Lifts and corridors would benefit from some refurbishment. They affect first impressions.

The room was large and the bedding was extremely comfortable. Kitchen was nice feature.

Parking

The room was spacious, and very comfortable. It was also very close to the metro. However, I was most impressed by the staff who were all very courteous.

The water for the shower would never warm up, and each day I had to take a very cold shower. The shower/tub was also in poor condition. For the price paid, I would have expected a warm shower and for the shower to be in better condition. In fairness to the staff, I did not call to complain about the cold showers.

Everything, actually. welcoming staff, pleasant. Clean and inviting, up to date, felt very comfortable. great to have robes and hair dryer. location is best for us as we have family 2 blocks away

The location can't be beat. We were able to walk almost everywhere including some good restaurants. Kitchenette was handy and staff was very gracious and accomodating.

Lack of parking. If you missed out on the spaces available you must park at Union Station 6 blocks away. We were lucky but heard some irate guests coming in after us. Beds not the most comfortable. Building obviously old but nicely renovated. No hot water one of the three days. Continental breakfast area crowded and with limited offerings.

Did not know that you had to reserve a parking spot with your reservation. When we got there they said they had no more room for our car, so we had to park it a union station 6 long blocks away. Little annoyed.

The staff was extremely curtious and always attentive to every patrons needs when entering and exiting the hotel. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of.

I have nothing negative to say about our experience with Capital Hill Hotel. They were first class from our entrance to our exit four days later.

We really liked that it was walking distance to union station & the metro. I loved the decor of the lobby & suites! It was very helpful having a full kitchen & a great size living space. Carl, one of the managers, gave great recommendations on where to eat and how to navigate the metro. He was very friendly and easy to talk to.

A nice property in a very up and coming section of DC....I'll stay there again!

A great central location to all attractions. Carl was amazing and friendly and checked in regularly to see if all of our needs were being met. This hotel was also one of very few in the area with breakfast option included,which was great for us.

We stayed in the main part of the hotel and the space (the rooms/hallway) seemed dated. In our room, the bathroom door was very old, hard to slide and didnt lock. Accessories such as toothbrush, Toothpaste, sewing kit were not available.
