Nothing really...

Very noisy and small room. No elevator as I currently have a foot problem. Room was not up to par: missing drawer handle, and no remote given until I asked for it. Limited very tight parking. Few hotel choices as was ucsc Alumni Weekend.

Very close to the beach boardwalk. Was clean, no bad odors, parking, a good example of a budget motel.

Bottom sheet was too small for the bed, came un-tucked during the night.

2 blocks from beach and boardwalk; decent price for 3 day stay including weekend; t.v. microwave, fridge, shower, card-key, heater all worked well. Room was basically clean; shower head is nice and shower was clean for being older; nice bed; coffee in lobby in morning; parking is decent; nice & efficient owners

well I hate to complain at all, I just loved having a good price near the boardwalk, but the room smelled bad tho not horrible & clearly was a smoking room although I booked non; and the ice bucket (bowl) had been used as a soup bowl & ashtray previously; microwave smelled like chicken noodles each use; no liner on the curtains so had to keep them shut & the room was dark; there is barely room to pass between the t.v. cabinet and the end of the bed; the carpet was filthy; the sheets were too short; and although the traffic didn't bother me the staff yelling to each other between rooms constantly each morning--full conversations--was quite annoying.

It is super close to the beach and downtown. Easy to get everywhere. Free parking.

Small room. Pool was out of service. Don't forget your tooth paste:) they don't have it.

The bed sheets were not fitted and came off so we basically ended up sleeping on the mattress. They are stingy with towels and toilet paper. The parking spaces are so close it is almost impossible not to hit other cars. The place is not very appealing at all, under the beds were very dirty.

I liked the location so close to the boardwalk.

The bed was too soft for me and there were no washcloths to use while showering.

Staff was very friendly, Check-in 2 hours early, courtesy call next morning to see if we needed anything, comftorable beds, clean bathroom, fridge/microwave. Excellent location. Just moments away from boardwalk!

Heard outside teenagers like they were in our room. Although we had no problem going to sleep. If your looking for luxury look else where. Great stay for great price!

There is nothing I liked about this motel. Firstly, when we were walking in we saw the the pool that had no water in it and all the lounge chairs thrown at the bottom. Second the room was never cleaned. Third, there were bed bugs!! It was two rooms we had purchased. We were down in Santa Cruz for work. The first night we couldn't sleep the beds were uncomfortable it felt like you were sleeping on the springs. We asked for towels and soap they never brought us any new ones. It was by far the nastiest motel we had ever stayed inn.. We did complain and the booking company did refund us some of our money, I would however recommend taking this off your list of your motel. No one deserves an expirence like we had

TINY room, poor value.

The location was convenient for us. Staff seemed pleasant. If we weren't in such a rush, I would have been comfortable bringing some of my complaints to their attention.

The bed sheets had definitely not been changed. Not cool. I don't mind dingy and old as long as my bedding is clean. Parking was quite tight and took patience to shuffle cars around to get in and out.

Great location & view of the river. Next to river walk. Close to boardwalk and wharf. Firm mattress. Friendly staff. Outside is classic mid-century modern.

Tiny rooms. Thin pillows. No coffeemakers or blow driers. Rooms could use some bright cheerful 50's colors.

It is really close to the boardwalk and was much quieter than I would have expected.

The beds are really hard and it would be nice if there were extra pillows.

The location is excellent! Less than 2 blocks from Boardwalk. Boardwalk parking is expensive. Bare bone annemities. Room was clean but a little smelly, need to keep window open to air out. But Santa Cruz is a seedy town, not meant for a family outing. Try Monterey or Carmel.

Motel is at the corners of 2 very busy streets, so traffic & noise could be heard from room; however, we were exhausted from day in the sun, we had no problem falling asleep.

Good location and parking facilities

Not sure if the linnen had been washed due too hair being found in the bed and various other places. Slightly cramped space for a couple of suitcases.

The location is walking distance from Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk other than that was not very impressed. Price was good for location

The pool was completly drained, parking was tight, a/c was noisy, room was cramped & not up to date. Looked like early 80's styling.

The pool was empty, there was not even a clock int he room. The place REALLY needs some upgrades and something needs to be done to improve the parking! The price was too high for what you get....
